I tried to flash the Rage ROM and OMJ's mod pack, and now my phone is stuck on the splash screen. I would try to reboot, but my phone doesnt seem to want to listen to the holding of the power button. Any ideas or tricks I can use to reset my phone?

try holding down the volume down button and power like you were going to enter recovery see if that tricks the phone into resetting.

Hi,
was trying to play the regular angry birds & my phone just rebooted & then got stuck on the splash(logo) screen, rebooted again, same thing.
Tried the recovery mode thing, holding down volume buttons & then the power button, nothing happens I know I'm doing that right 'cos I have gone into recovery mode before when contemplating to root the phone.
Its a Bell unlocked phone, & not rooted at all.
Any ideas on what else I could do?
Thanks.

Sounds like the bad SD card, but can you get into download mode? If it just crapped out when playing a game and not doing **** then it doesn't sound good, but try to get into download mode, if you can do that you could try flashing some things but report back about the download mode.
thanks spectre, was not sure what the download mode is, so I googled it & then I came across this:
Recov = vol up + home + power. When you see the splash, let go of power or it will reboot.
Download = vol down + home + power. You do not need to let go of power.
I was trying the recovery mode with both volume buttons held & not the home button, tried recovery mode, reset factory settings, now everything seems fine
btw do you suggest I root the phone?

1 - turn phone off.
2 - hold down home button.
3 - whilst still holding down home button hold the power button down to turn phone on.
4 - when you see Samsung logo let go of the power button but keep holding the home button.
5 - when you see the recovery menu you can let go of the home button.
What did you do to the phone for this problem to occur?

Have you tried to boot the phone into Download mode?
ok i can get into download mode what is the next step????
My AT&T G Flex randomly rebooted and when it did, it flashed the AT&T logo off and on infinitely. I did the method of holding down the power button and the volume down button, then releasing the power button and pressing it again to get the hard reset option. Did that, now it just shows the LG logo and stays there infinitely as well. I did not have any recovery ROMS installed. I assume my only option is to re-install the stock ROM.
If there are other options I can try, I'd greatly appreciate and try any. Thanks!

Hello,
can anyone help me. My HTC phone m7 just had a count down and then shutdown for it self. It then began to reboot over and over and it never gets pass the HTC logo.
I tried:
1. going into the splash screen, but i reboots even when i do that. It happens so quickly i can't select fastboot, factory reset or anything.
2. Holding it close to a bring light and hard reset.
3. Waiting for 48 hours.
4. leaving the battery to drained and then hard reset.
I can't remove the battery. and when ever i put the phone to charge it keeps rebooting over and over.

First, try holding the power button for few seconds till kapacitive buttons start flashing. If that doesn't help, press power + vol down to get into bootloader, and then post everything written there

I tired pressing the volume+ down button but it goes into the splash screen, where I can choose fastboot or factory reset. But when I get there, the phone reboots before I can select anything.
When I hold the power button. I did this for at lease 2 mins. Nothing happens.

OK, what does it say on that screen? Under "locked"?
There should be h-boot version and OS version above fastboot and factory reset options. We need that info to try to help you

Download this .exe to your computer, reboot your phone to bootloader mode, connect it to your computer, and run the .exe. That should fix any software issues

OK thanks, I will try this later as I am at work now. But would this work even if the phone keeps rebooting? How would the pc drivers connect to the phone?

If it's in bootloader mode it should be fine. In order to run the .exe file your phone must be in bootloader mode. You managed togo into bootloader, so there should be no problem. If that .exe doesn't solve your issue, than it's safe to say it's a hardware issue
Hey thanks a lot this work for me.. at first I it didn't work but then I tried again and again and it did work thanks

Guys I need your help. I powered down my S10 and when I turned it back on it is stuck on a boot loop. I get all the way to the lock screen until it restarts and boot up again. I've tried holding down the volume down and power button but it won't work.
Are there other button combos I can try out?
I am S.O.L. right now and I'd appreciate the help!
thx

My apologies if you know this, but I didn't see you mention the Bixby key when trying to get to the recovery menu.

Maybe it was a setting you changed, or an app. Any important change you made before this? You can try booting in safe mode (Hold the power on key until the Samsung logo appears, when Samsung logo appears, release the power key and hold the Vol Down button until it finishes restarting.
To enter recovery mode, you have to boot the phone holding together the power key and the vol UP button.
This happened to me a few weeks ago. It rebooted at least 20 times but it eventually fixed itself. (Had to do a force restart on it a few times as well.) Are you able to try and launch in safe mode?
