Sorry for my bad english, but I just want to know if FM Radio works in Cyanogemod 10.1 for Galaxy Mini 2. I mean... Is there an official FM Radio app for the rom?
That's all. Thank you.
I think Spirit FM might work.

Yes, Spirit FM works on CM 10.1, but my problem with the free Spirit FM is its really clunky
Whenever I get any alert, it stops. When my headphone is slightly moved, it stops. I have to go through several hoops just to get it started again.
And then there's the sound. There's always a little bit of white noise in the background and it gets really irritating if you're using it for long periods of time.
I'm not sure if the paid version would fix these problems though.

Big fan of ya'll for a long time... Just decided to sign up and ask a question:
I installed CM7 for the first time, mainly because I wanted FM Radio on my N1. I'm disappointed to find out that the sound comes out from only one channel (right side, mono only, no matter what the setting).
I researched heavily but couldn't find a similar post. Am I the only one experiencing the FM Radio sound coming out of only one earphone?
BTW, all other features are working perfectly...
My radio is 5.08
hboot is fully updated
I'm using one of the CM7 nightly after the RC1
Thanks!

I don't know whether it provides stereo or not as I don't listen to music at all when I turn on radio. But I do have sound from both sides.

Thanks for your feedback... Definitely, the issue is that I'm getting sound out of one side (right earphone) only... I tried multiple headphones, including the original N1 headset... All the same, sound comes out of one side...
Not sure what the issue is. As I mentioned, I researched a lot and no one seems to have this problem... Everything else on the phone runs perfectly.
bump
Still, after format and full wipe, re-installed CM7 RC2, and FM Radio still comes out of one (right) earphone.
Working great here. Audio is coming out in stereo. If you click menu in the Radio app, then settings, under audio output mode there is a setting for stereo or mono.

I've tried everything... Nothing seems to work, sound still comes out of right earphone only...
I'm still baffled as everything else on the phone works perfectly... I've wiped (data, dalvik) and formatted partitions, fresh installed the ROM... Still the same issue... It must then be a hardware issue... My radio is 5.08... Does that make a difference??
Just want to be sure, did you test playing music through the normal music player? And both sides work through that?

oh yes, definitely! Sound from music player is perfect, can't ask for better... I even tried different sets of earphones, including the stock N1 earpieces... As I said, everything on the phone is working perfectly except for the FM Radio... I don't even get the wonks everyone is complaining about.
I know this is a hopeless case as I seem to be the only one with this problem...
Did another full wipe (system + dalvik), plus formatted the partitions... installed CM7 rc3, fresh and clean... Still, I can only hear the FM Radio sound coming out of the right earphone...
Oh well, I'm figuring it must be a driver/hardware issue... Since it's basically the bluetooth unit transmitting the sound, maybe my N1's BT is purely mono (or somehow stuck on mono (?))...
Hi,
i have an optimus 2x and not pleased about stock rom, and as on my nexus one, i would like to run CM7
But before that, i have few questions, that are important to me:
With CM7 does the hdmi output still work?
With CM7 you can fixe the gps lack of update (it seems that yes)
With CM7 is the radio working
Is 2.3.* reliable on optimus 2x?
Is your device much faster?
Thxx for your time, look forward to have your comments

FM radio not working is no problem but A2DP is very important Im using BT headset for listening MP3s so this is big dissapointment for me.
Dont you know, when there could be some stable version of CM ? Lets say in weeks or rather months ?
As already specified in my post I have also the vocal controls not working
Voice actions are fine for me.
Battery life is much better for me on CM7 (currently on nightly #47 and baseband+RIL 502)
Only reason I'm not yet on CM is that A2DP support for Bluetooth doesn't work. Is this still an issue? Talking about Music via Bluetooth headset because I read that phone calls are put through A2DP correctly...
It is still and issue, and looks like it's going to be one for quite a while.
Hi Guys,

If you are on Froyo or GB, try installing and using "FM TwoO"
No alternative

If he was on Froyo or Gingerbread I suppose he didn't asked for something similar to SpiritFM because he would simply use the stoc FM Radio. I believe he is on some ICS custom/ported ROM.
Unfortunately I don't know of any other alternative than SpiritFM for our phone.

Its not possible without a internet streaming connection, seen as Android doesn't give out the API's for the FM Radio and RDS.
How did SpiritFM destroy you're speaker may i ask?

actually im using ICS 4.0.3, Custome ROM which is not supported Stock FM radio apps.
This Spirit FM did kill my speaker, i dont know how it kill, but it just killed same like other people as well T_T
SpiritFM can kill an i9000 speaker, but not always. I'm using it on an SGS with zero problems. Also, today the developer pushed out a new update on Play that should hopefully fix it.
One thing I did to *try* to minimize chances of blowing my speaker/headphones on first launch of Spirit was to manually toggle Voodoo Sound to -36 dB. This may not have done anything, or kicked in a little slow -- I think it was louder for a split second and then volume dropped off quickly. But from what I gather, if it doesn't blow your speaker right away, then your i9000 is one of the safe ones.
Hi!
Do any of the developers working on the FM radio support for ISC on I9000?
Everything I have found references to Spirit FM, but it's no FM tuner
Semaphore has a fm radio (si4709) module.
I haven't tried it.
Try SPIRIT FM software.
Sometimes it makes your phone mute (you receive a call but you can't listen what people's saying)
Anyway, its the best option right now.
Yes! It works
Sent from my GT-I9000 using XDA
Yes, it works fine, give it a try.....
Hi all, i dont know if someone has/had a similar issue but here goes: i have not been able to get FM radio working on any custom so far. All i get is static, and searching radio stations takes very long. I don't know if it helps, but i have Viper4Android installed (but same happens when it is uninstalled).
