Stock FM radio doesn't work.

Hi There,
I would like to throw sugestion or request (if someone already found it) for application which can replace external FM transmeter.
I am noob to this, but was wondering if our radio can do Wifi Router kind of thing than what about FM Waves?? Is it possible release fm waves so we can play music on phone through car's FM Radio or other FM radio?
I am sorry if this sounds silly question or request.
Thanks.

a hardware is needed to do this action n it is not ANY related to wifi !
Hey apex,

good point, but it's not true
how you know that its not true? nobody tried that! maybe its only to revert the process of receiving RF signals
You need to have the hardware send fm signals. Our phones don't have the right hardware to do that.
I have installed cm7 and the radio doesn't work...I have changed fm app and radio modems but nothing work.I have heard that it is necessary to have the genuine headsets to work...Is it true or i do something wrong?

Yes, you need the original Samsung ear buds for the radio to work. In addition many users still have issues with controlling the volume and the station using the FM radio on CM7, so be warned it may not work perfectly even with the right earphones.
Can you send me a link of the original earphones because there are many models out there?
I found these.Are they suitable?
Can anyone show me which are the genuine headsets? Thanks

If he was on Froyo or Gingerbread I suppose he didn't asked for something similar to SpiritFM because he would simply use the stoc FM Radio. I believe he is on some ICS custom/ported ROM.
Unfortunately I don't know of any other alternative than SpiritFM for our phone.

Its not possible without a internet streaming connection, seen as Android doesn't give out the API's for the FM Radio and RDS.
How did SpiritFM destroy you're speaker may i ask?

actually im using ICS 4.0.3, Custome ROM which is not supported Stock FM radio apps.
This Spirit FM did kill my speaker, i dont know how it kill, but it just killed same like other people as well T_T
SpiritFM can kill an i9000 speaker, but not always. I'm using it on an SGS with zero problems. Also, today the developer pushed out a new update on Play that should hopefully fix it.
One thing I did to *try* to minimize chances of blowing my speaker/headphones on first launch of Spirit was to manually toggle Voodoo Sound to -36 dB. This may not have done anything, or kicked in a little slow -- I think it was louder for a split second and then volume dropped off quickly. But from what I gather, if it doesn't blow your speaker right away, then your i9000 is one of the safe ones.
Sorry for my bad english, but I just want to know if FM Radio works in Cyanogemod 10.1 for Galaxy Mini 2. I mean... Is there an official FM Radio app for the rom?
That's all. Thank you.
I think Spirit FM might work.

Yes, Spirit FM works on CM 10.1, but my problem with the free Spirit FM is its really clunky
Whenever I get any alert, it stops. When my headphone is slightly moved, it stops. I have to go through several hoops just to get it started again.
And then there's the sound. There's always a little bit of white noise in the background and it gets really irritating if you're using it for long periods of time.
I'm not sure if the paid version would fix these problems though.
Hello everyone,
I have been following progress on custom kernels and ROMs for a little bit now and I have a question. Firstly, I've wired up this tablet to be my radio in my car, but would like FM. One thing I've come to realize is that the chipset for this tablet is FM compatible. I've tried the Spirit FM app, but after it not working, and some more research, I found that it is not compatible with Mediatek sets (or if anyone got this working, tell me how please). I have recently rooted and installed a custom ROM (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2503668).
Is there any kernel out there that has activated the FM receiver in this? If this is already answered, I apologize for asking again, but I haven't been able to find anything.
Please help,
Randy
