ok so i know there have been tons of posts like this one but i can't seem to find any solution in any solutions already given... or maybe i just missed the right one for me.
Anyway , up until the last update i had no big issues . Then , they started when i was abroad and haven't left since .
I have a massive wakelock issue and i dont really know why .
I know my operator stated that they have implemented fastdormancy only on 3G UMTS 2100 Mhz and i run my phone on WCDMA\GSM . before the 244 update , i used to disable fast dormancy because it showed up in BBS . Now it doesn't anymore and i didn't delete my fastdormancy apk on the last fresh reinstall.
I also have a massive Android system & phone wakelock count wich i'm not sure where they come from.
I have greenified the usual apps ( maps , playstore , whatsapp , facebook etc ) , removed all the apps mentioned in http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2382712 because i don't use them either, and still i don't even manage 4 h on screen time...
Also , some animations lag or take a longer time than expected to open. I think there are some background processes but i can't seem to find any weird ones in my task manager.
I have disabled sync with my google account , logged out of facebook , disabled location services and all the crazy settings in maps, autosync is off...
I am running the latest monxdified 04-03-01 , installed after a fresh wipe via flashtool and a factory reset via recovery . Could this be the culprit ?
What the hell is going on in my phone ?

heya fellas
going thru my battery history on daily basis i find those 5 culprits abusing my battery.
Gallery: uses a lot of batt due to sensor usage ( def bugged )
Dialer: what in gods name is Dialer doing to abuse the partial wake/net connection(3G) ?
0: some freaky app i guess that uses a lot of batt under net connection usage(a click on this to see any more info FC the batt history app, wow)
UID 10007: no idea what this is but its right there under 0 using net connection too
Email: i doubt its something wrong but since i have it on a 10 min refresher i dont mind it being up there since i was the one who chose a 10 min interval. but still its sucking my batt
need pics? i could post em if anyone could help.
now id love to know if anyone knows of any solution to those huge battery suckers?
what in gods name is 0 ? or UID 10007 ?
Gallery 3d sensor still bugged? im guessing my only solution here is to delete this by titanium and use another gallery app instead of the original ? any recommendations ? has anyone been down this path ?
any info is much appreciatted ^_^
anyone ?
anything ?
Sorry for late reply.
You probably already have this fixed, but for others that still get this problem the fix is to remove the original Gallery 3D app with Titanium Backup and then install the same Gallery 3D from the Android Market.
Ah yes, and for all this to work you need to Root your phone, with something like z4root.
Hope it helps!
I've looked around about the 0 think, and came to the conclusion that it's probably the process for network standby (ie staying on the network). If anyone knows otherwise/can confirm that'd be great
Yes, 0 process seems to be an internal loopback for connections. All should go trought 0. Is fine, do not care about it.
An even easier way to get the updated gallery (with better resolution photos) is to install SGS Tools (not toolbox, tools), pick 'upgrade stock apps' then 'modded 3d gallery'.
The Email battery drain bug is a known one, maybe try using k9 mail instead? Or you could try the galaxy tab app, it worked fine for me (after a little fiddling, mostly to fix the camera FC issues) but it doesn't support HTML emails, which is a bit disappointing.
Or just set the update interval to something like an hour.
The dialer thing has been bugging me too lately, i havent nailed the problem yet.
Basically I had 100% at 9am
at 1130 am I had 28% and this is without doing hardly anything.
I then put data packet mode off and airplane mode on -- and it lasted 2 hours without draining.
Therefore I know all the drain is due to some background apps.
Is there any tips, tricks, etc. to stop this drain ? like stop synching etc.
This battery drain is brutal!
Find the culprit ?
Install some app monitoring app like system panel and check?
You already know its something that needs internet. So check all your apps when they are syncing and how often. Check in some task manager of running app/services , cpu usage/network use, everything what should be dormant and its active. (or just check in the apps you ran if there isnt a circle running thats suggesting that app is doing something )
Oh one thing is not using skype and install adfree

I haven't found it yet - what apps would you specifically advise to use ? I have hotmail, google, and facebook on "sync" mode -- maybe I'll take that off and see if it works.
Other than that, I don't have hardly anything running that I can see -- WIFI and GPS is always off. I use a task killer on "INSANE" that closes apps constantly and everytime the screen goes off so I'm not sure what could be running.

It can be:
- a weak network (2G/3G) constatly switching.
- Gallery bug
- File system errors
take a look on what "suck" your CPU time.
Install Better terminal:
/ $ su (enter)
#top (enter)
And watch & report.

what am i looking for exactly
I have this thing running
it's soooooooo choppy -- how do I stop it so I can analyze the data lol
i usually plug my phone into the computer and use adb logcat to see whats going on, i usually find the culprit that way
My battery Life sucks as well. These are the culpruts at the moment.
Voice Calls 17%
Display 17%
GPSD 17%
Maps 14%
Cell Standby 10%
Wi-Fi- 8%
TIKL 7%
Phone Idle 4%
Facebook 4%
Android Os 3%
Android System 3%
My thoughts are that is location based services such as google weather widget. I have disabled Latitude and the weather widget set to 6hr refresh. I should mention this is on a Galaxy i9000M running CM7 03122011.
Sorry For making another Battery Thread But I'm getting more than 65% in use of the Android System on the Battery
But i Saw this

And then this under the same topic

- Reboot
- Uninstalled most of the apps in the Application Manager from LG; SmartWorld, Today+, ...

- Installed my other root apps: CPUTuner, Autostart Manager, SDMaid
Quote: - In Autostart Manager I disabled most of the apps I don't want to start after a boot, so I filtered the 'Boot Completed' enablers. And disabled all those unnecessary.
- In CPUTuner I use an Uniform configuration with 2 Triggers (battery 100% and battery 50%). I have 6 Profiles with different CPU clock speeds, governors, I/O, ... settings. If you want details about those I can add them at request.

And I did flashed and rooted, but didn't Restore to Factory, also i did upgrade SuperSU and istalled the CWM and then Deleted Dalvik and Paritition cache files
What i wanted to ask, is that after all this should i make a factory reset? if not should i UnInstall only the LG programs and then freeze all the other apps?
Am asking this because it seems alot for me having 70-80% on the Android System usage for the battery
Edit: IDK, for example i consume alot of Battery just for using facebook and the music player, but it's not fair that in my ipod i don't use more than 5% and on the 4x i used 20%
or consuming(airplanemode) even if im not uisng it
Hopefully one day our Mods on here will just take all these threads and roll them into one.
STOP OPENING THREADS ABOUT BATTERY USE!!!
We know there are some problems with it. Solutions have been posted that may help some people. We don't need every person who owns an LG 4X opening s thread to complain about the battery :banghead:

Sorry, but i can't resolve it on my own, and i can't figure it out why i have this problem while other people already fixed it.
Edit: I did a fabric restore and then downloaded GSAM Battery Monitor and it shoed that Android System is using 99% of my battery
In the Easy Battery Saver it says that the Adroid System uses 80% of my charge... And i don't have any apps installed
And in my Battery Settings the Android System is always on 66%-75%, Should i install a custom ROM?

If you don't know, Android System includes:
--Settings
--SystemBackupService
--com.lge.internal
--VpnDialogs
--Smart Log Service
--System Interface
--LGSetupWizard
--Image Updater
--com.android.providers.settings
--Android System
--Key Chain
--com.lge.lockscreen
--Shutdown Monitor
--LGSystemServer
--Task Manager
--LG MLT
--Google Backup Transport
--com.lge.hiddenmenu
--LocMgrProvider
--LockScreenSettings
--Home Selector
--Camera Test
As you can see, its not an app but several, its normal that they are in the top of usage list.
That depends also how you use your phone.
Some of them can be frozen, search in other threads and you'll find a list or screen shots of my frozen apps (if you're interested of course...)

70% because once your not using other apps, is logic that those that you use are in the top.
Some of them run in background, thats the reason to freeze them.

Install the battery fix http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1933099
and tomorrow i'll delete the dalvick cache :3
Also i think i put my expectations too high.. i mean it's a 4core-4.7 inch Smarthphone :9, XD alot different from my last S.E.X(Xperia)
How many people Don't like android 4.3 please tell to Sony
1.Consuming too much power and affecting battery life.
2.Scrolling is very noisy so need too much repolish user interface.Project butter isn't works. Every application is not smooth e.g - in clock move from world clock to timer breaks, home screen, gallery, slide show is bad.
3.Some applications run in background always live in notification bar eg - Uc Web background download always shows in notification bar "Uc Web is running tap to more information "
4. Bugs with Blutooth, wifi, nfc
5. With this operating system applications run problematic not perfectly like chrome
6. Old camera UI was excellent - excellent..look and functionality.New UI looks very very bad and decreased quality.
7.Problem with video recording.
8. New Keyboard app is very very bad We want old keyboard.
9. Ram management is bad.

Dude..!! Y don't u just downgrade it and forget it..
None of your above stated problems is being faced (atleast by me)
A cure for you ---- To fix it, Read it.. Just don't Post it, to Blame it.. Got it?
De-bloat/ Kill apps u don't use or never ever use. Battery life on 4.3 is insane runs all day for me with 20-25% drainage (average call, texts, emails on exchange) no issues at all. (Root it / Calibrate the battery for actual reading). Project butter does what it is suppose to. No lags at all. U need Lag Fix. Use Adblocker kill stupid apps delete system apps (only if u r aware of what u r deleting).
No bugs at all with Bluetooth/ wifi or NFC I use all of them in daily life and works like a charm. In other words now I can skype on wifi instead on 4g LTE (on my BB Q10) on 4.2.2 I faced too many problems. Chrome was recently updated and stable now.
For the rest release your stress and go for a different device.

Before going back to 4.2 try to flash again 4.3 because you are the only one who experience problems.
I disable apps like "news and weather" etc, but for some reason after a while they are enabled again... Anyone know what the reason could be? Or how to fix it. It's not that big of a deal, but still.

I believe some apps still sync/exchanging data with this app even though you disabled it
I faced same sort of issue with Xperia Z, this app became crazy and completely drained battery off
I did reset wifi settings and it was gone.
Use wakelock detector to determine which apps may running at same time (e.g Google Maps is running even though i disabled it manually)

1. Find wakelock detector tutorial to run on Kitkat, useful to check any excessive app running at background
2. Auto startup manager, disable uncessary apps at boot
3. In dev settings, enable kill all process (no apps would running anymore), i dont like this since killing process might be not good for OS stability
Notice you can get some lag if you enable it
