[q] 0049 imei - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

hello guys, i just flashed my Samsung Galaxy S i9000
The Problem?! is i've got an 0049 IMEI, but the Simlock disappeared.
I can use W-LAN, my Sim Card and Bluetooth.
So, my question is, is it a problem that i have an 0049 IMEI?

Yes, your operator could deny acces to its network because of unknown imei.

[Q] Mobile network not available..?

Hello, I bought of a friend a Samsung galaxy s and he said it needs only unlocking,so i "think" i unlocked it successfully. Was putting a O2 Simcard in and in applications i was having then the o2 SIM Toolkit.
But when i tried to make an phonecall, he tells me "Mobile Network not available",so i went to settings and wireless and network and tried to choose an network operator but he tells me then " Unable to connect to this network at this time. Please try again later."
What can I do?
Did you check the APNs?
Please first check if your IMEI is intact. If it is, flash a different MODEM and see if it works. If it's not, flash a fresh ROM using ODIN and that should hopefully restore your efs.
At first thanks for the reply, but now what is a APN? And how do i know if my IMEI is intact?
Sry,am a newbie
For you IMEI you should check your original SGS Box's sticker. There should be you IMEI number printed on. If you dial *#06# you should be able to read your IMEI. --> Look if it is the same as on your box
for apn settings. Apn is your connection settings, how your phone connects with the providers network. you have to check your mobile network settings if these are correct.
So, the IMEI nr is different then on the sticker, and the apn wasnt ticked,so I ticked the O2 and tried but still no mobile network.
Then i need to flash if I'm right?
I was already looking a bit around here about roms etc. But there are quite a few out there,so when you say to flash a fresh rom, which actually do I need to use?
Thank you
Hi again,
because the imei wasn't the same, I flashed it with a new rom (actually two different ones)
But still after both flashes I still don't got my old imei and still no mobile network available. After the one flash with I9000XXJPU he didn't said anymore no mobile network available, instead he said no data network available.
It would be nice if somebody would have some advice or help.
Thanks
hey! don't panic, i have had the the same problem
just download darky's resurrection edition in the development section and flash it. it should bring you back to froyo 2.2.1 and should also restore your imei properly. after this procedure you are free to flash any rom you want

Flash back to 2.2.1
Check imei
Continue on..
Also the problem you had when flashed JPU sounds like you didnt have your APNs correct..thats why the "no data network available"

No Network
Hi!
I have the same problem.
Network is fine (i switched the SIM-Card into different phones), but my SGS GT I-9000 does not connect / find to any network.
I am running Darky`s ROM 4.0.4 v11.0 Black Edition with 3.0.17-Semaphore_ICS_1.2.5s.
Also, the phone says on screen the name of my network provider (COSMOTE), but no signal.
What now?

[Q] galaxy tab imei 004999...., imei failed ?

i have a problem with my samsung P1000.
I use the SAMSUNG Galaxy unlock on the market android.
after unlock, i check imei, the imei : 00499010640000.
how can i restore my imei original ?
I haven't a file backup of folder EFS
thanks.
You can't EVER restore it unless you have a back up file.
it hasn't an other way ? Provider Samsung, can they restore imei ?
What does not EVER mean?
It makes no difference. I've been without for nearly a year. You are better off with it gone.
my IMEI was change. Do you know how to unlock my Samsung. I verify my Samsung by the code : *#7465625# , and the Network Lock is set to [OFF]. But i can't use other network.
You can unlock your tab by editing a file with a hex editor.
You can go to the market and find an app called sgs2simunlocker by chainfire.
i install sgs2simunlocker. it work with my samsung galaxy tab but it can'ot unlock my samsung
I don't know: is it a reason of my IMEI change ?
Well, are you sure you're not unlocked?
when i click SGS2simunlocker, it has code unlock : 00000000. i think it can't take a code unlock. I use another CardSim but it not recognize the SIM (My samsung is lock by Orange France, now i only use SIM of Orange). when i check *#7465625# , all of information are OFF.
Do you know how i can do ?
can you help me ? Please!

[Q] Not registered on network

Hello,
a friend of mine has bought the Galaxy S3 LTE (I9305) has the following problem:
If the Netwok Mode is set on either GSM only or WCDMA only, everything works well.
On the other hand, if it is set on LTE/GSM/WCDMA (Auto mode) after a few seconds
the "Not registered on network" error appears.
The SIM card used does support LTE, could that be the source of the problem?
Also, my friend accidentaly tried to apply a i9300 CF-root and we restored it following this guide:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1946915
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Got same problem here have no idea what it is.

If you guys used a different rooting method and not the one's posted in the I9305 forum , you probably lost your imei number. Check if you got it dial *#06# and your imei will hopefully appear.

[Q] How to restore my IMEI?

Hello everybody,
I just installed a new rom and I booted my phone and it gave me this message: A problem was detected with your device. Your device IMEI number is invalid. An invalid IMEI number could cause network issues including the inability to call emergency numbers.
Does anybody know how to restore my IMEI?
Thanks in advance
Rick
first thing always provide more detail stuuf like what you did...which rom, version so some ones can help you quickly
are you able to connect to network if yes then don't think you need to worry.
if you're are not able typo connect to network then try flashing different modems and even that not solve your offside them go back to gb and then flash the rom after rooting

URGENT: Re-installed Stock Firmware (update-6.0.1) - NO NETWORK ACCESS

Hey, everyone, I need some help:
On my SM-920G, I re-installed stock 6.0.1 (last official update before 7.0) and, now, I don't have access to the network (says emergency calls only). IMEI and serial number are both intact. What can I do to regain access to my network? I know it's not a motherboard problem because it happened after flashing stock software. I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE YOUR HELP.
Thank you,
VinceLupe

I would remove and reinstall your SIM card and check your APN settings.

Did you install the right firmware for your region? You should check that or flash right modem file. If all else fails use kies to restore phone to factory or flash a custom rom and check if everything works.

So, I actually had to have an IMEI change... Long story - but, my question now is: is it possible to return to stock (completely stock) and NOT lose my IMEI number? I've heard some people say, "yes," and O be heard some people say, "no." Is it possible?

I don't think there is any risk of losing IMEI if you flash stock with odin, but if you have root then firstly take an efs backup, just in case, efs is where your IMEI is stored.

If you have root then in the root folder you will find a folder called efs. Just copy it and save it to your SD card or your computer. If you have custom recovery then you can save it from the backup option but I guess that won't help much if you flash stock with odin then it will remove your custom recovery. There are also some apps on the play store but I never used them, I use the first method.

Yeah, I'm just on stock, so that won't work - but, now I have another issue:
So, here's what happened... I got my IMEI changed, and all was good. But, then I realized that my phone was rooted. I tried to flash magisk to have magisk installed, and then my phone wouldn't boot up. Afterwards, I flashed stock to restore official device status, but when I did so, I realized that my network wasn't working. My IMEI (clean IMEI) is still showing, but I DO NOT have any access to my network and can't search the web or anything. What could be the issue, and what is the easiest way to fix it?

Did you flash the correct firmware? The same region as it was when it was working? Flashing a stock rom from a different region sometimes causes this and you need to flash the right one or at least the 'modem' file of the right one to get it working. Or you could use Samsung Kies software to completely recover your phone to its original state when it was bought. Also, What do you mean by saying changed IMEI? Did it not show it correctly or got corrupted and you fixed it? or you changed it completely to a different one from the original?
If you have a good IMEI just call your provider and give them your IMEI and your sim card numbers.

CodeNameRedNeck,
So, I have a good IMEI number, but I cannot register the network service. It tells me "Emergency Calls Only" even though it shows a signal in the top right hand corner. Are you saying that I just need to call TIGO (I am in Bolivia) and register my IMEI number as well the SIM card numbers - or, could it be that there is an even deeper issue? Also, which SIM card numbers are you talking about? Thank you, my friend.

Mufrad,
I completely changed the IMEI to a clean one because, apparently, when I traded for the Note 5 (I am in Bolivia, and that's what people do here), the original IMEI was put on the blacklist. So, now I have a completely different IMEI that is clean (unreported), but I do not have any network access at all - furthermore, when I access the menu using *#0011#, it says "IMEI Status: NG" under IMEI Status. I'm not sure if it's a software problem? I have a friend looking at the phone, but I do not have any idea how it's going because he still hasn't been able to fix it.

When my son switched from an iphone to Android we had to call AT&T and give them those numbers before it worked. I had an Xperia phone that I had to do the same with. There are apps that can read your sim card number. It should also be printed on your sim card.
