Hi All,
just a little question:
Is there a way to avoid my 4X to show me the confirmation prompt/windows when I set the Energy Saving Mode?
Sorry bor my bad English,
Thank you all
Probably only with a custom ROM. Not even LG support could answer this question (I tried); same for the "Select network" popup on bad signal

Hello all,
Have been away fm WM camp for a while (wandered to Symbian and iphone for a period of time) and recently got a 2nd hand Kaiser to play with.
Pls excuse this returning newbie question: do we still need to care about the notification issue? I use to install Scary Bear "Clear Notification" on startup. Do we still need that now? I have lots of appts with alarms, so I wonder if it will slow down my machine or make it unstable after a while.
I have searched a bit and it seems some people say it is still needed, some say it is now very stable and won't need.
Thanks in advance for your input.
Just wondering what your experience is on this issue. Thanks again.
This is a technic how to improve your battery life in htc touch hd
1 - disable any 3g @ data connection
2 - disable any incoming beam in connection setting
3 - customize the power usage in power setting
4 - disable gps option in gps setting [ recommendation ]
5 - disable any wireless connection in standby
6 - Turn off Bluetooth when not used
7 - Experiment with different Radio ROM's they actually have a big impact on the battery life, depending on your location.
8 - Use Lumos to control the backlight or set it to manual and turn it as low as you like
9 - turn on\off WiFi in specified times
thanks for mccune
this is only way i know how to improve battery life...
hope users here can share with me
thanks
but what if i want to use them all the time? haha.
nice idea though, if you disable them does that mean they wont work unless you re-enable them? or do you just mean "turn off"?
... or you could just leave your HD switched off all day long, using a 50 $ mobile... because if you switch off all those things that's what our HD would turn into...
Kidding, of course.
But why should you buy a 500 bucks pda-phone and not to use wifi, bt, gps and so on?
A way to optimize battery life, IMHO, is to use "clever" ROMs: that's it.
Bye!
and why not turn off for ever?
becoz touch hd battery drain is so quickly
Some people really are an expert in posting useless replies :S
If you don't access a WiFi network. Why in earth enable it?
For some people the tricks from the first post might be nothing new. But a lot have WiFi and BT activated even if they don't use it. So Core7x started a nice thread actually. But it should have been in the Blackstone section. Maybe a MOD can move it there.
To add some things to your list:
- Turn off Bluetooth when not used
- Experiment with different Radio ROM's they actually have a big impact on the battery life, depending on your location.
- Use Lumos to control the backlight or set it to manual and turn it as low as you like.
Use a profiler tool to turn on\off WiFi in specified times.

... and I'm one of them. I was just smiling at this thread and of course didn't mean to be brute!
I'm wanderring why I should have in my pocket something worth hundreds of euros/dollar and using it as a 29.99 $ Nokia (by the way: I own one of these low cost mobiles...). Just in order to be away from the plug for a whole week? Any function you have drains battery and, of course, it's good to turn off functions as you don't use them. But what if you work in a WiFi-covered factory and use a BT hearphone?
I bought an external battery (sorry for my english... I don't really know how to call that battery "thing" that you can easily charge and carry and has a series of plugs to fit most phones).
That's all. And I feel sorry if looked so "expert in posting useless replies..."

not consider with the situation and location...

this is a reason when someone situation...at least, they can use other method to reduce battery otherwise improve battery performance ...

Not the 1.2 version though, 1.0 is the 'ace' version.
Thanks for the tips. I wasn't aware that having the incoming infrared beam checked would have an impact on battery life, since HD doesn't have I/R.
As for the WiFi, there's a tool that turns wifi on/off when in range of a CellID, thus making it location based (sort of). It's handy if you need Wifi at work and home, but not when you're commuting. I've tested it and it also works on HD.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=448783
The incoming beam option is just a safety option on the Touch HD.
It used to activate IR and make it possible to receive files over BT. Now it only applies to Bluetooth so I can't imagine that enabling this option would drain the battery (in tests it even proved that the IR didn't drain the battery).
The main idea is to use the features when you really need them !

Exactly, and this should be common sense anyway. I only use wifi, gps, bluetooth etc when I need them.
NOTE
Also leaving bluetooth on all the time leaves your phone vunerable to hackers you can access your phone and take your credit, steal files etc
WifiLocation automize Wifi

Cool. Thanks alot for that fine news!
The last 3 days i have the Rom from MaHo_66 that can be found here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-s3/development-i9305/rom-4-4-2-t2863060
Since i have so little posts(used to get a solutions all these years) but not a new member i can't post in the Rom's Thread i made a new one here. So some questions :
1) If we don't want the 3dot menu from S5 because of loosing space in the screen how can we add the official Alarm/Clock every Android device has?
2) Because of the device's BAD consumption when Data is on, and since in my country Data costs a lot, i wanna have only H and H+ in my device and not 4G-LTE.
Why when i choose wcdma only in Network Mode i get only 4G or 4GLte ? Also read the http://forum.xda- developers.com/galaxy-s3/help-i9305/s3-lte-i9305-3g-4g-2g-wokring-help-t2246437 with both automatic option enabled, or WCDMA only with every band available but nothing happened..
3) With every other rom 4.1.2 or 4.3 i had at least 2 hours of screen and about 1 hour of talking with one charge.. That one gives me only the half of it.
I noticed that an app that's running called: com.android.systemui, with included Packages of System UI, com.android.keyguard and com.sec.android.sviewcover,
eats about 5% to 10% in the usage of one charge. Generally with normal use of phone i had more than 12 hours that i got last time with that Rom..
Just to be clear, before installing the rom i cleaned Everything, and installed with DEFAULT values and no tweaks at all.
So ANYONE has any ideas for my questions?

1) The 3 dot is the menu key. You have a hardware menu key. IF when you press it you get taken to the task manager, press and hold it.
2) This depends on the implementation, but 4G/LTE should be less battery hungry than 3G/HSPA (but not 2G/GPRS) due to rush-to-idle of 4G. keyword here is SHOULD
3) com.sec.android.sviewcover is irrelevant to us, we don't have the hardware sensor to enable it. I would advise you to run Better Battery Stats to get a proper diagnostic of your battery usage.

Well daedric Thank you for answering so quick my questions. Still im sorry for my late response, cause i had net issues.
About the Rom : i don't want the 3Dot Menu cause we have hardware keys for that.. I found the clockapackage and flashed it but it gives me an error every single time i try to run it.
Well also the signal for data values was a problem too, and MaHo_66 gave a solution. Battery still drains fast especiaally when i have the data open it takes about 160 or less minutes with screen on.. Can't help it!
Thanks again for your response!
Hello everyone, I recently installed on my LG L90 D415 the Resurection Remix ROOM unfortunately this comes overclocked and my battery was affected by one or two days without charge to have to carry every 18 hours. Doing a little research I found the ROM Toolbox Pro tool. With it I was able to adjust my CPU to function at frequency of 1.2 GHz in ondemand mode instead of 1.6 GHz in interactive mode by default in this ROM. The problem is that every time I restart the phone returns to the value of 1.6 GHz in interactive mode, and after two or three hours with the phone in standby retake those values.
What I ask the community is not an app to solve my problem, but the configuration file that controls the value of the frequency and CPU mode.
Thank you all in advance
PD: Please forgive my English it is not my native language.

Hello, and welcome to XDA!
The Resurrection Remix ROM doesn't have a Performance tab under Settings? If that's there and functional, should be able to set your frequencies on boot.
At any rate, I am connecting you to the LG L90 Q&A forum, where your device experts can be found:
> LG Optimus L90 > Optimus L90 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting
I never tried to figure out how to set the performance values by hand (never found it necessary), but the experts here should be able to help you out, even if there is a better option. Please note, to respond to any replies, you will need to register for an XDA account.
Hope this helps, and good luck!

Thank you very much for answering, you're right, there is a performance tab in the control panel, but this just allows me to set the battery mode and the input-output scheduler.
I was talking to GrinningFerret and he recommended the app "Kernel Auditor", with this i managed to stabilize the use of the CPU.
hi everybody,
i use oneplus 3t a3003, i have a question for you,
The status bar turns red when you turn on battery saver settings. Is there a way to fix this?
thanks...
It's how it's supposed to be, to inform you that the phone is in low energy emergency mode and battery will die out soon. Also everything will be slow since Big CPU cores is disabled and CPU frequency of little cores restricted. I think they choose this so as to inform you why the phone turnes sluggish. ?
It's supposed to be like that dude
There are some mods to change that but that requires unlocked bootloader and custom recovery like TWRP.
If you dont have any idea what that is then you dont have any option than to accept it as it is.
