Help anyone out there...i have a very big problem - Galaxy S I9000 Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

I'm kinda confused about the two galaxy phones which is the galaxy s anycall m110S and the 19000. So i mistakenly rooted the m110s anycall with the files for 19000. Now the phone is no longer booting. Whenever i turned it on, it goes into download mode on its own and afterwards immediately displays different colours on the screen and stays that way for days. I tried going into recovery but i still get same thing. Is there anything i'm missing out??....please i really need help

Follow this to revert back to M110S. Click PIT STOP link below for anything and everything regarding M110S
Looks like, you don't seem to get it , so here do this
you may need to use the repair kit to resolve this problem[/B][/COLOR] you can download Recovery guide or follow this
First stage :- For every Stage of Flashing RESTART ODIN and always use Fresh ODIN
1) download repair kit and unzip it (you will have 6 tar files)
2) put phone into download mode after battery pull
2) run odin and select m110s.pit under PIT (Re-partion option will be automatically ticked)
3) select M110S-PDA-PHONE-MOVI-REV03-DG23-1409-USER.tar.md5 under PDA
4) connect phone and Press start (within 10 min your phone will reboot into Eclair Firmware)
Second stage:-
1) put phone into download mode after battery pull
2) run odin select S1_KOR_DE09.pit under PIT (make sure you UNTICK the re-partition option in Odin)
3) select M110S-BOOT-DG23-1409.tar.md5 under CSC
4) connect phone and press start (within a few min phone will reboot)
Third Stage:-
1) put phone into download mode after battery pull
2) run Odin select M110S-NPS-IMAGE-REV03-DG23-1409-USER.tar.md5 under PDA
3) selct M110S-PHONE-REV00-DG24.0151_Develop.tar.md5 under PHONE
4) Connect Phone and select start ( within few min phone will reboot )
Fourth Stage:-
Your Phone is currently running its FIRST out of the box Firmware used in 2010 , so now you need to upgrade to the latest 2012 Stock ROM or Custom ROM of your choice so repeat Flashing Procedure to upgrade to Latest Firmware
IF unable to complete repair procedure
Final Solution:-
After receiving many requests for help, concerning stage 2 of the repair procedure, Failing or unable to complete as it gets stuck on MOVINAND upgrade or similar
My advice is to proceed to stage 4, meaning you Flash a Latest stock ROM or custom after the Eclair ROM, this will solve the issue and you would be able to USE the phone .
so if it get stuck after stage 1 ( meaning phone functions using the oldest ROM ) , just continue to stage 4 and flash the latest ROM

1) Remove SIM card and EXT SD card, pres power button for 30 seconds, put back battery
2) Fireup Odin3 on PC
3) press Home + Power button & plug USB cable to PC
even if it just powers ON with technic colors on screen, just check if Odin 3 detects it, you can flash as long as Odin3 detects your phone.

you need to get it into download mode, and this model can be in download mode even when it just turns Pink, I know this because I had tried to convert it to i9000 by flashing numerous i9000 ROMS long time ago and it literally turned PINK, thats when I decided to give up and return it to M110S
so you just need to try and try again to get it to connect with Odin3, thats what I did and recovered it myself
these are the methods that you can use
[1] Problem:- Cannot enter Download or Recovery Mode
Solution :-If your phone is booting alright but cannot enter download or recovery mode:- You can download Quick Boot app or Hot Boot app from play Store to get recovery mode in an instant and use update.zip from recovery to flash a 14 panel toggle (from SD card) , which will replace your Notification panel with 14 toggle switches including download and Recovery boot up on one click.
M110S 14 Toggles
i9000 14 Toggles
i9001 14 Toggles
i9100 15 Toggles
Solution:- when Phone can go into recovery but Not download mode and you have CWM, use CWM to boot into Download mode by its Universal Lag Fix menu
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
When Phone cannot boot
Normal SGS i9000 buttons
Normal SGS i9001 Buttons
Normal SGS SHW M110S Buttons
But this can Change in some ROM's like UGKG3, the 3 button combination to get into recovery mode can change from [Power+Volume Up+Home] to Power+CenterofVolume+home]
In ICS recovery mode can change from [volume up+home+power] to [Volume up + down+home+power].
When using windows use this tool
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
In the event this fails, you should First try
Power down, Pull out Battery, Pull out Sim Card and Ext. SD card, press power button for a Minute than power up again to try the combo buttons again...
(This works for Jelly Bean, when you cannot get into recovery mode but only download mode)
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
IF it Fails again
you can try power down, remove battery, press combo keys and insert battery
1) To enter download mode [volumedown+home+power] or as per your model
2) While in this position, insert the battery
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
If it Fails again
Than you Should try ADB method via your PC
1) Install adb drivers in your PC, (If you don't have one yet)
2) Click on Run on your PC start menu
3) Type:- cmd
4) Type:- adb reboot recovery or adb reboot download
Your phone will go to recovery mode or download mode as typed
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
or you can try some Tools like AndroPlatina Utlity or Easy Reboot at My Android Collection that will try to connect when the phone is powering on. or other methods like mentioned here
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
IF still no luck
Than the JIG will do it, the Home Made USB JIG, can be made by yourself ( like here & here ) or can be bought from ebay or a parts supply store near you or you can borrow one here
Click to expand...
Click to collapse
if the JIG fails, its time to use the JTAG remove the motherboard, connect it to the riff box and flash your version of bootloaders back onto the rom chips directly. If that failed it may be a hardware problem like this

This is for S5830 but u can try:
Step 1 – Prepare Odin with the firmware You want to flash and get it ready to Go.
Step 2 – Remove battery, SIM and SD card, next connect your galaxy ace to the computer;
Step 3 – Hold Volume down + Power + Home button at the same time;
Step 4 – Insert the battery and wait a bit;
Step 5 – At this point Odin should have detected your Samsung Galaxy ( Yellow rectangle should appear);
Step 6 – Click Start button in Odin and wait about 5 min.
If You do All Above Steps Correctly Then It should come back to life.

How do you know your phone is softbricked if you cant get in downloadmode?
Sent from my ace, shall I but say (√π).
I thought when you can't get in download mode the device is soft bricked. Am I wrong ?
Does it start? Or something like that? Bootlogo for example?
Sent from my ace, shall I but say (√π).
Yes, it does. It works correctly except download mode that is unreachable. This prevents me to flash a stock rom. And that's just what I want to do !
Everything is OK. I've found the solution here : http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1642686

Go to Samsung service center and act dumb. Don't mention 'brick','root','custom ROM','download mode','custom recovery'.
Tell them you were downloading some random games over Wifi when suddenly your phone switched off... I'll leave the rest of the story to you

Endless Reset on Galaxy

Hi All, i have a several problem with my phone.
I tried to install cyanogenmod, with no results. The problem becomes when i tried to go back to the previous android (the original).
I tried a lot of times change it, but now i can't do anything because the phone restart automatically just turn on, and because that, i can't connect the phone to my computer via usb (the time between a restart and another is about 5 five seconds).
Other thing that i like to refer is that the phone can't start in download mode (i can do that before, via odin, but now that solution doesnt works since the last android change version that i do).
I hope that one of you can help me please, i don't know what i can do.
PD: sorry if my english is bad, i'm a spanish-speaking

Thanks for the immediate answer!
I try what you say, but don't work
Maybe i dont understand good, do you say that i have to remove all (including the battery) and then press power button literally for a minute (without the battery) and then try to put the phone in download mode?
I have to say that my phone is unable to enter in download mode from factory (i can access to download mode with a modification with odin, but now i can't do that).
Neither can connect my phone to the pc, because restarts in less than 5 seconds and the pc is unable to detect it in so little time.
Again, thanks for the help

[FIX][GT-I9001] Most common fixes for Samsung Galaxy S Plus

Hi all,
Since our devices development keeps growing and growing the amount of questions about simple fixes is raising. I've made this "collected solution" thread to prevent these questions and to link all the new and senior users to here.
So lets begin:
- My Device keeps rebooting in recovery mode again and again
-- Follow this post over here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=24831012&postcount=1330
- Odin failed in flashing and I see a PC (!) PHONE on the screen on my phone
-- Your device is so called: "Soft Bricked" this means you can fix this by yourself. Try to get in to Download mode via the normal way. Or get a JIG (See here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=819551 or here: http://dx.com/p/unbrick-download-30...msung-t959-i9000-i897-m110s-i8700-i9100-93514)
- How does it looks when my phone is softbricked? (le above problem)
-- Like this:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",

}
- My device is Soft bricked and I cant get it to work again are there more solutions?
-- Yes: there is one. You can read it below in the "SHOW"
Apparently there is one safe and working way to un-brick the GT-I9001. This procedure has been tested on a soft-bricked device with a stock unbranded ROM.
Download the WORKED2.rar package (mirror 1, mirror 2);
Download Odin Multi Downloader version 4.43;
After expanding the WORKED2.rar archive, press the OPS button and select the AriesVE.ops file from the uncompressed archive;
Mark the One Package option, press the One Package button on the bottom of the window and select the recovery-clockwork-6.0.1.0-ariesve.tar.md5 file;
Put your device in Download Mode by pressing Volume Down + Home + Power and plug it to your PC;
Make sure to have installed the correct drivers and the phone should be recognised by Odin (the top left rectangle becomes yellow) and press the Start button.
This process could take from 8 to 30 minutes to finish, with an average time of 15 minutes. After that you should have your device back with the same settings, applications and files you had before the brick. Moreover you should have installed a working version of the ClockworkMod Recovery.
Using an Odin ROM to fix your device:
If your device is still not working correctly after the steps described above. You should try to install a stock ROM and do a factory reset.
Comes from the Wiki
- I've got no mobile data connection after a flash?
-- For this problem you can do several things:
Go into airplain mode for 15 minutes and turn it off again. Give it a shot now
Reboot your phone
Go to google > your carrier + APN data and put them in manually
- When I want to flash a Stock ROM via Odin it gets stuck at System.img.ext4
-- For this solution I recommend you to flash this ROM: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1396837
( Le reason: It contains all the partitions requiered by our phone and resets them after a factory reset via the provided recovery you are able to flash any stock ROM you want)
- I cant seem to get into Recovery mode
-- Download this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=713695&d=1315490753 extract and run REBOOT RECOVERY
- How do I get in either Download or Recovery mode
-- Volume UP+POWER will take you to recovery mode
Volume DOWN+HOME+POWER will take you to download mode
- Where can i find the fabulous GT-I9001 wiki?
-- Well here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/Samsung_Galaxy_S_Plus/GT-I9001
- Why cant i flash this or that ROM, i get blablabla status error etc?
-- Most of these issues are recovery related. To flash CM9 and CM10 ROMS use either CWM or TWRP (The most stable are being found in the CM threads itself just take a look)
Will add more soon.. But I think these are the most common at the moment.

Mrjraider

PS. Can you add a link to the wiki? And a photo of soft brick (in wiki)

- My device is Soft bricked and I cant get it to work again are there more solutions?
-- Yes: there is one. You can read it below in the "SHOW"
Apparently there is one safe and working way to un-brick the GT-I9001. This procedure has been tested on a soft-bricked device with a stock unbranded ROM.
Download the WORKED2.rar package (mirror 1, mirror 2);
Download Odin Multi Downloader version 4.43;
After expanding the WORKED2.rar archive, press the OPS button and select the AriesVE.ops file from the uncompressed archive;
Mark the One Package option, press the One Package button on the bottom of the window and select the recovery-clockwork-6.0.1.0-ariesve.tar.md5 file;
Put your device in Download Mode by pressing Volume Down + Home + Power and plug it to your PC;
But I think these are the most common at the moment.

it seems that I bricked my galaxy s plus when I tried to flash Cynagenmode via TWRP.
I have read tons of articles and threads before posting this. The phone turns on but keeps showing TEAMWIN logo (bootloop). I can not boot into recovery mode which is done by pressing and holding Volume Up + Power. (I've tied many keyboard combination but still no access to recovery mode instead the phone boots).
However, I am able to get into download mode (Volume Down + Power + Home) but when I connect the phone to pc for ODIN purpose, my pc or Odin won't recognize it. I have tried to uninstall and re-install all drivers again and again. Tried on different PC, Odin version and even different cables.
However, When I turn on the phone it keeps bootlooping but when I connect to pc, there is that "beep" sounds that says connected, BUT IT LASTS only 3-5 seconds.
Since I cannt get into recovery mode, I must connect to PC via ODIn, right? So I did it, but every time when I plug it, it keeps saying that USB Device Is not Recognized. I ve tried in many PCs, still no access.
Forgot to mention that I ve tried to unplug the battery while the phone is in download mode and is plugged to PC or ODIN, but it does not work too.
I ve removed the battery for 10-15 minutes and then again plug it but still no hope.

Have you tried the right combo mate? Download mode: volume down+home+power
For selecting in recovery mode you can do it with the power button.
PS: This is the wrong thread for your answer.

yes I know how to go to download mode via the 3 buttons , this is not my first time using Samsung mobiles and they all the same
and also not my first time doing root and changing rooms
but this is the first time I face this problem and only in this galaxy s 3 mini (I've rooted another galaxy s 3 mini before and there was no problem with booting into download mode)
also I know that the power button is for selection (I already mentioned that in my post )
but it doesn't give any respond (only in recovery mode) while there is no problem with the power button if I used it with any other place in the system
I AM NOT NOOB

Well Mr. Mad-Ungrateful-Expert... maybe you can try buying other phone.
Try this :

Your problem sounds similar to this one. I assume when you say 'blank screen' that the screen is powered on?
Power off the phone, hold down VolUp + VolDown + Power for 4 to 5 seconds. Then release ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Now press Volume Up. Now hopefully you will be in download mode even if you can't see that you are. If it doesn't work try it again a couple of times. The reason that you have to press Volume Up is that a warning screen is actually displayed before the phone lets you into download mode.
The phone will give you no other indication that its in download mode and won't 'recognise Odin' when not in download mode. Make sure you have Samsung USB drivers (comes with Samsung Kies) installed on your PC.
Oh yeah and by the way the thread I've linked to suggests you have to reflash the bootloader to fix the 'blank screen' problem.
