Have you tried the right combo mate? Download mode: volume down+home+power
For selecting in recovery mode you can do it with the power button.

yes I know how to go to download mode via the 3 buttons , this is not my first time using Samsung mobiles and they all the same
and also not my first time doing root and changing rooms
but this is the first time I face this problem and only in this galaxy s 3 mini (I've rooted another galaxy s 3 mini before and there was no problem with booting into download mode)
also I know that the power button is for selection (I already mentioned that in my post )
but it doesn't give any respond (only in recovery mode) while there is no problem with the power button if I used it with any other place in the system

Well Mr. Mad-Ungrateful-Expert... maybe you can try buying other phone.
Try this :
makeyourself said:
Your problem sounds similar to this one. I assume when you say 'blank screen' that the screen is powered on?
Power off the phone, hold down VolUp + VolDown + Power for 4 to 5 seconds. Then release ALL AT THE SAME TIME. Now press Volume Up. Now hopefully you will be in download mode even if you can't see that you are. If it doesn't work try it again a couple of times. The reason that you have to press Volume Up is that a warning screen is actually displayed before the phone lets you into download mode.
The phone will give you no other indication that its in download mode and won't 'recognise Odin' when not in download mode. Make sure you have Samsung USB drivers (comes with Samsung Kies) installed on your PC.
Oh yeah and by the way the thread I've linked to suggests you have to reflash the bootloader to fix the 'blank screen' problem.

Hey guys, the other day I went from apex 7.2 to MIUI.
I can no longer enter download mode. I can get into recovery by rebooting into it, but i cannot 3 key into either recovery or download.
I have never had a problem getting into either.
Is there an app or something that will enable me to enter download mode? It is not in the power/reboot screen of miui..
Or any other way? I have tried pretty much all the button combinations I have read and none work..

I think this is using some form or fasion of the 2.3.3 GB build. I've been noticing several, including myself, having problems with download mode after flashing to this build. Problems occur even after 2.1 or 2.2 restock from odin one click. Just a bit of information for you.

I have never had problems getting into download mode after flashing GB bootloaders. It really depends on what key combos you are trying.
Doesn't MIUI run on Froyo/Eclair bootloaders? Have you tried using the ADB command? what about Vol up/down and insert USB?

I've tried everything. Nothing worked. Even the take everything out, hold volume buttons and plug in usb trick didn't work. I had to adb reboot download. I had to use kies to install drivers for my phone to be recognized in download mode. All sorts of things were going on.

how far can you get? that happened to me (got a phone where the key combo didnt work). i left the USB cable plugged into the phone and computer. then opened a CMD prompt, typed "adb reboot download" and powered on my phone, hit enter then kept hitting the UP arrow and ENTER hoping it would catch the phone. looked like this:

I9000 GB BL key combo is:
Volume up + Power --> Recovery
Volume down + Power --> Download
So if you are going to try Volume up + Volume down + Plugin USB, you sure wont get into download mode

Either way, every combination was tried. Regardless of selection, recovery mode was the only thing that would pop up.
I do not see why I would need a jig? Everything else works fine. I can get to recovery via the reboot menu. Just the download mode does not work.
I have not tried the adb commands.
Can someone point me in the right direction as to where I can read up what you need and how to do this?
Also for those who are wondering:
Had apex 7.2
Odin one clicked back to stock..
rooted, installed cwm
then installed miui
no more download mode.

I just posted a thread on the topic of ADB and CM7. Considering MIUI is based off of CM7, I don't see why it wouldn't be the exact same.

In my case, volum up button doesn't work, and phone doesn't enter in downlaod model, just in some emergency mode arm9... something like that. I try to update software, i think because it's some software problem. After that, everything ok (start downlaod mode with kies, and update with odin). Odin show pass(isn't first phone that I update with odin, but everything before was ok). When phone start, show this .... and i don't know what should I do. Any help, any idea?

Before, I update with odin: Galaxy S, Galaxy gio(2x), Galaxy ace(3x), another galaxy mini, with odin.
Weird it is then, cuz i know holding volup+down+home+power will get u to emergency download mode...whatever that is.
It's possible. The person who gave it to me to make them update said the volume up button does not work very well. Be a reason? Phone also have another problem, battery drain, in 5 minutes, battery goes from 70% to 20%. Wipe battery stats in CWM should resolve this? 100% probably no, but something?
Im having the same problem, I get "lcd_backlight_ctrl start" when im trying to turn my phone on, can only go to Emergency download mode
I have firmware from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1551586 and i get this error after i tryed to go to recovery mode (Clockwork recovery not flashed)
EDIT: Got into normal download mode, reflashed roms, now its working fine. Apperiantly theres a problem with my "Volume up" button.
For future
This combination which u have triggered is: Volume up + menu + power or just Volume Up + power

Follow this to revert back to M110S. Click PIT STOP link below for anything and everything regarding M110S
Looks like, you don't seem to get it , so here do this
you may need to use the repair kit to resolve this problem[/B][/COLOR] you can download Recovery guide or follow this
First stage :- For every Stage of Flashing RESTART ODIN and always use Fresh ODIN
1) download repair kit and unzip it (you will have 6 tar files)
2) put phone into download mode after battery pull
2) run odin and select m110s.pit under PIT (Re-partion option will be automatically ticked)
3) select M110S-PDA-PHONE-MOVI-REV03-DG23-1409-USER.tar.md5 under PDA
4) connect phone and Press start (within 10 min your phone will reboot into Eclair Firmware)
Second stage:-
1) put phone into download mode after battery pull
2) run odin select S1_KOR_DE09.pit under PIT (make sure you UNTICK the re-partition option in Odin)
3) select M110S-BOOT-DG23-1409.tar.md5 under CSC
4) connect phone and press start (within a few min phone will reboot)
Third Stage:-
1) put phone into download mode after battery pull
2) run Odin select M110S-NPS-IMAGE-REV03-DG23-1409-USER.tar.md5 under PDA
3) selct M110S-PHONE-REV00-DG24.0151_Develop.tar.md5 under PHONE
4) Connect Phone and select start ( within few min phone will reboot )
Fourth Stage:-
Your Phone is currently running its FIRST out of the box Firmware used in 2010 , so now you need to upgrade to the latest 2012 Stock ROM or Custom ROM of your choice so repeat Flashing Procedure to upgrade to Latest Firmware
IF unable to complete repair procedure
Final Solution:-
After receiving many requests for help, concerning stage 2 of the repair procedure, Failing or unable to complete as it gets stuck on MOVINAND upgrade or similar
My advice is to proceed to stage 4, meaning you Flash a Latest stock ROM or custom after the Eclair ROM, this will solve the issue and you would be able to USE the phone .
so if it get stuck after stage 1 ( meaning phone functions using the oldest ROM ) , just continue to stage 4 and flash the latest ROM

you need to get it into download mode, and this model can be in download mode even when it just turns Pink, I know this because I had tried to convert it to i9000 by flashing numerous i9000 ROMS long time ago and it literally turned PINK, thats when I decided to give up and return it to M110S
so you just need to try and try again to get it to connect with Odin3, thats what I did and recovered it myself
these are the methods that you can use
[1] Problem:- Cannot enter Download or Recovery Mode
Solution :-If your phone is booting alright but cannot enter download or recovery mode:- You can download Quick Boot app or Hot Boot app from play Store to get recovery mode in an instant and use update.zip from recovery to flash a 14 panel toggle (from SD card) , which will replace your Notification panel with 14 toggle switches including download and Recovery boot up on one click.
M110S 14 Toggles
i9000 14 Toggles
i9001 14 Toggles
i9100 15 Toggles
Solution:- when Phone can go into recovery but Not download mode and you have CWM, use CWM to boot into Download mode by its Universal Lag Fix menu
Click to collapse
When Phone cannot boot
Normal SGS i9000 buttons
Normal SGS i9001 Buttons
Normal SGS SHW M110S Buttons
But this can Change in some ROM's like UGKG3, the 3 button combination to get into recovery mode can change from [Power+Volume Up+Home] to Power+CenterofVolume+home]
In ICS recovery mode can change from [volume up+home+power] to [Volume up + down+home+power].
When using windows use this tool
Click to collapse
In the event this fails, you should First try
Power down, Pull out Battery, Pull out Sim Card and Ext. SD card, press power button for a Minute than power up again to try the combo buttons again...
(This works for Jelly Bean, when you cannot get into recovery mode but only download mode)
Click to collapse
IF it Fails again
you can try power down, remove battery, press combo keys and insert battery
1) To enter download mode [volumedown+home+power] or as per your model
2) While in this position, insert the battery
Click to collapse
If it Fails again
Than you Should try ADB method via your PC
1) Install adb drivers in your PC, (If you don't have one yet)
2) Click on Run on your PC start menu
3) Type:- cmd
4) Type:- adb reboot recovery or adb reboot download
Your phone will go to recovery mode or download mode as typed

Than the JIG will do it, the Home Made USB JIG, can be made by yourself ( like here & here ) or can be bought from ebay or a parts supply store near you or you can borrow one here

if the JIG fails, its time to use the JTAG remove the motherboard, connect it to the riff box and flash your version of bootloaders back onto the rom chips directly. If that failed it may be a hardware problem like this

Okay, try it via eRecovery - turn off the phone and connect it to the computer. Press and hold Volume Up and Power for 10 - 15 seconds until the device restarts and enters the eRecovery.

I'm sorry bro, but your question was
"LLD-AL10 Forget screen lock pin" ,not Google account bypass. There are lots of instructions on how to do this. Use Google.

Keep pressing the power button to force shutdown ah, then keep pressing the power button + volume down to fastboot and then release.
Keep pressing, do not understand?
Can not be solved, go to the local Xiaomi after-sales center to solve it.

I do not know how you get the phone into this, do not say clear before the brush process, is the software reason or hardware reasons, others do not know how you create the problem, but you are really very strange.
There is an article on how to enter fastboot when the phone's battery is dead, but I forgot the URL of this article.
I suggest you go to the Xiaomi after-sales center that solve the problem.

Had the same problem, it's the Power button that Is stuck, you should clean the Power button and give some taps to the phone, the same ad Nexus 5

I bricked my camellian 3 times, one time soft brick and two times hard brick (no response at all.); I can help you via remote software or RDP because it took me 3 days and nights to do this myself and last time even longer. You probably damaged the bootloader, and since I've been through all of that twice I know how to unbrick it but I can't explain it in a post it will take me weeks. Let me know.
If u have trust issues I will send you all the drivers and software names, or you can download the ones I upload to mega and try it yourself, but you can brick it until it can't be unbricked anymore and that is the point of no return. Let me know if u want me to send you the tools.

flash MIUI firmware
download any MIUI ROM version from any trusted website (my favorite is mifirm.net, it downloads faster), search for "camellian" (device codename) and download the fastboot rom.
after downloading, extract the folder of the ROM
after ur done, install MiFlashPro (attached) and open it
you will be greeted with this

click the "Mi Flash" tab
then the following window will open
install the drivers that are necessary to flash your phone (or else it wont flash)
then, select the fastboot rom via the "select" button next to the blank line
click refresh, then your phone serial number should show up in the cells
on the bottom, select "clean all" only
and finally, click "flash"
then let it flash, about 15 mins, and it will automatically reboot.
