you need to change the folder location.
Go to menu -> preferences -> backup folder -> scan the WHOLE DEVICE (not only sd) -> select the one with /legacy in it.
it should work again :good:

Thanks! Solved!
So strange it was

[DEV] Browser Tab Limit Removal Gingerbread

So removing the browser tab limit on froyo has been done, you can see here how to do it: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=12087352&postcount=2
But how on gingerbread??
Devs help us!
Patched Browser.apk that allows up to 16 tabs (I didn't think that more were needed )
Have fun
Edit: Flashable zip added. Flash in CWM
I've flashed and it works, but I've lost my CoreDroid themed browser ..... ouppss! It's stock version browser.
I've flashed again the CoreDroid ROM to get themed .....
Is it possible to flash it without loosing the theme?

If you could upload your Browser.apk (in /system/app) I will take a look into it.

How I put the .apk to system/apps?
Enviado desde mi Desire HD usando Tapatalk
Ah I forgot to make a zip, so here it is. Flash in CWM.
Alternatively, if you are familiar with ADB use "adb remount" and push the apk into /system/app/
Thnx!

First: Try rebooting and double check that it really isn't there.
If it isn't, try redownloading the zip and flashing it again. There might be something wrong with it.
If it still doesn't work, manually move Browser.apk to /system/app using Rootexplorer (or a similar filemanager)
I did what you told me, but still the same. I can not install and also flashed repeatedly.

Since you are using a custom ROM, just extract the ROM zip.
In the extracted directory go to /system/app and copy the Browser.apk to your sd-card.
Then, using Rootexplorer (or similar), move it from you sd-card to /system/app (on your device) and overwrite the existing file.
or go to the browser thread for 2.2 froyo linked some posts earlier and get the hacked browser.apk there
I've tried to restore it as you said, but still undetected. I have also tried to update it, but says the app is not installed.

how did u installed it? moved with root explorer?
if yes, look if the apk got the same permissions like the other files in the directory
also i hope u restarted your phone after replacing the file
will not let me install it tells me that the app is not installed. which is in the directory system / app has the same permissions as the other

You might just want to restore a Nandroid backup, that should fix all possible problems.

[Q] Fullwipe Script

Hello,
I think if any programmer can made a CWM script to make a fullwipe, my idea:
= file named "Fullwipe.zip"
= copy to sd
= reboot to cwm
= install zip from sd
= the script make all wipes
= the script make a fix permissions
= one message say: fullwipe is finished, now install ROM.
is possible make this script???? Other question: the roms use ext3 or ext4???? In Desire HD the new roms use ext4

lol man why u need after full wipe fix permissions?
I think that is a good idea, too much files movement maybe need fix permissions... Or maybe not

[Q] Rooted but now have a problem

Hi. I have rooted my kindle fire hd, but have a slight problem, I have no notification bar and no bar at the bottom e,g home back etc..
Anyone have a workaround or way of accessing the system menu so i can do a factory reset ?
Plug kindle into computer type adb reboot recovery.
Cheers. now I assume this isn't rooted anymore...or is that a silly question :S
you should still be rooted. I was. You MIGHT have to install superuser.apk again.
a factory reset formats /data/app and removes your registration info. Anything installed in /system/app remains there.
Thanks

Yeah I was still rooted, got it installed and all ok now, many thanks for the help....now onto the good stuff lol
I've found my status bar menu get quirky and start and stop itself. Factory reset was the only fix I found (on my KFHD 8.9) glad you're sorted.

If you have installed Gmail that must be the problem. There's a compatibility issue between gmail notifications and notification bar

[Q] How can I run WhatsApp on ART? [4.4]

Hi guys, I found several tutorials for this but it seems the libart.so file must be created specificaly for the device that is going to use it.
I tried the zip from this thread but I ended up on bootloop. I couldn't turn on my device, I had to wipe data so that it got switched to Dalvik.
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2527891
Has anybody here using ART on Moto X been able to fix Whatsapp in some way?
Thank you in advance for all responses.
That would be awesome.
