[Q] CWM backup restore suddenly very slow - Motorola Atrix HD

I believe my prob started on 6036. I'm back to 6032 but still slow, esp both system and data.
I format data before restoring - used to take 15 secs or so, now is almost instant, like it's not doing anything.
I format system before restore, but that still seems okay - 10-15 secs. but restore of system is much slower than before. 5 min vs 1 min or less
If there is something wrong with these partitions, how do I fix it?
Thanks!
(I go between stock JB and HoloBlur 0.9)

My restore takes about 15 minutes. I have no clue how yours takes seconds lol.

Actually, it doesn't take "seconds" When it's working well, a backup or restore takes a couple minutes. Now it's more like 5.

Pretty much depends how much data you have your trying to restore.

This tablet has solid memory, how come it boot up so slow? Is instant on possible, or is this a limitation of android?

No smartphone or tablet is instant on... Except, of course, when just in standby.

Which phone? My DS7 boots in about 45 seconds or so, which I think is reasonably fast. And why are you turning it off so much anyway?
And of course this is going to be ROM dependent.. I'm using the stock ROM.

I'm not turning it off, but if the tablet boot up faster we can turn it off and save battery life. My LG optimus boot up faster, in about 3 sec..

The LG Optimus 3D boots up in approximately 31 seconds <-- according to several sources in a quick google search..
My DS7, stock ROM, 195 apps.. 42 seconds from first splash screen to lock screen. First time I've bothered to time it, considering I've rebooted the thing about maybe 10 times in the 5 weeks I've had it.
Still don't see anyone completely powering down the tablet on a regular basis unless they absolutely need to save on battery. Mine uses about 1%/hr in standby..

JB OTA update, now battery all over the place?

Hi,
I let my xt890 update to 91.2.26001.xt890.Orange.En.gb on Friday, but now it is literally unusable. The battery will show 100 % one minute, 28 the next, then back up to 95, then 2 % then shut itself down. Turn it back on to 95 %......all this in a few minutes.
Ive hard reset it, cleared the cache, hard reset again and it is still doing this. Anyone got any ideas?
Ta
Sam
Battery now has a 2 minute life. Charges to 100 percent in 10 seconds and then dies in 2 minutes. It does this when charging whilst on or off. Phone had no probs before ota update. Grrrr. Anyone Any ideas?
I'm not experiencing this. Try resetting

reset countless times. basically i can switch the charger on and off now and every time i do this the phone shows a different value between 1% and 100% for battery. its bloody mental! gonna have a look at flashing 4.0 back on to it tomorrow unless anyone has a better idea?
If you're rooted, there's usually an option to clear battery stats in recovery. Worth giving this a go.
Hi, not sure if your problem is similar to one I had

[Q] PC Companion Backup

Guys,
I finally got round to installing PC Companion and decided to launch the Backup Wizard.
However for the past 30 minutes its been sat at item 2 Preparation doing nothing further.
Question being ~ Just how long does it take to 'roughly' finish item 2 Preparation then move on to item 3 Backup?
Edited:
Well, it finally moved on to item 3 Backup and now I have another issue..... time being taken.
At first it said it would tak 3hrs 10mins. That quickly changed to 3hrs 30mins then 4hrs 10mins and so on and so on.....
Currently its now at 7hrs 40mins in still climbing.
Granted it is backing up 14GB of data but it shouldn't take this long surely not....
Had I known I would have backed it up manually.
Edited 2:
Well, that was confusing....
One minute its saying there is 8hrs 20mins to go before backup complete. Half an hour later I look at the screen and its saying 5mins left to go.
All done but not as fluid as I would have hoped.
I'll leave these comments in case anyone else comes across a similar situation.

Same problem
2014 and I'm having the exact same problem. It says there's 19 hours to go... I have to leave the house in 1,5 hours, and I've tried backing up before, but cancelled because it never finished. How long is this gonna take? Copying 19 gb cannot possible take this long! The blue line is almost at the end, but seems to have stopped there.... do i need to leave it backing up overnight? This is 2014, man! I did overnight stuff in 1998!
same problem
i do face longtime backup with PCC. But while nearing finishing session PCC says Runtime error n closes or PCC doesnt respond which results in incomplete backup :crying:
I hope someone could help me with another software which help to take full backup. moreover this is my first post

Question Problems with WhatsApp backup in the cloud

Anyone else with problems with WhatsApp backup in the cloud?
It's incredible how long it takes to get the backup done. It takes approximately 8 to 10 hours to "prepare the copy" when on other phones it never took more than 30 minutes for the backup to complete.

Seems like a whatsapp problem more than a phone's problem.
