Just a thank you to all service men and women, Firefighters, Law Enforcement, and all who risk their lives to keep us safe. Also, to the heroes that prevented further destruction on flight 93.
I hope we all take a moment tomorrow to remember those that lost their lives on 9|11.
+1. This should be a sticky.

"9/11 the start of a massacre that's running 10 years strong in 3 countries, it started by terrorist attacking New york to Terrorist attacking Iraq and Afghanistan, Civilian Casualties: NY, USA= 3000, Iraq +Afghanistan =137,000 (just a low estimate), May God be with us all and grant those who suffered due to this tragedy and it's aftereffects patience and hope"
"On 9/11, I'll mourn the nearly 3,000 lives lost, the over 6,000 injuries, the infrastructural carnage and devastation in NYC, and the humiliation of my country, all perpetrated ignorantly in the name of my religion.
On 9/12, I'll mourn the nearly 1,000,000 lives, the 10's of millions of injuries, the infrastructural decimation in 3 countries, and the humiliation of my religion, all perpetrated ignorantly in the name of my country."
Not sure who said either, but I like them both.
On this day of remembrance, my heartfelt sympathies go out to the families of those who lost loved ones on 9/11.
And to those who feel the only way to further their political agenda is through cowardly acts of terror, targeting innocent civilians,
eternal damnation in the fiery pits of hell shall be your reward, not 40 virgins.
lest we forget.
let us dedicate 1 minute of our lives in rememberance to the innovent victims whom have lost their lives

I agree. Let us not forger about ALL the innocent lives that were lost. Here and there. Many more 'there.' And I'm not even talking about people serving our country. 9/11 was terrible, but so has been the response.

And how could retaliation for such an act of terrorism be anything but terrible ??
Can you morons with your anti-war blinders just go away, just for today, please? This is about remembering those lost a decade ago, not discussing how bad you think the response was, or how the US Government is also terroristic.
Start your own thread about the merits of the altercation in the desert. But please, in this thread, just shut the **** up.

Sorry, but I don't believe that this was somehow justified, or the only response, and I'm not sure how you can justify the response to what was a terrible event in NYC.
Its not about 'being terrible' in terms of a response. Its about going into places we didn't need to go and responding by killing countless numbers of innocent women, children and innocent people as a whole.
You can't justify the response. In any way. 9/11 was terrible. What has happened since has been just as much so.

Totally off the grid while in the mountains. Every few weeks we'd make a trip to town for supplies and while there we would stay a day or so in guest housing at a university so that was the chance to take a hot shower and have electricity. Otherwise we lived in a hut, collected rain for water, cooked over a fire, and used a man-made outhouse. I'll try to get some of my photos scanned and uploaded when my day slows down.

People are such dicks. And I'm talking about the replies on this thread, not the meizu owners. I've never handles a meizu phone but I've heard plenty of good things about them, but this sounds like a blind fanboy argument. The GS2 is still great even though we have the GS2 runt but at this point there are a lot of phones that are better than the t989. It would help if you got what meizu model they have lol.

http://m.engadget.com/2011/12/15/meizu-mx-review/
Well after reading this review I'm surprised by the Meizu MX 2 core. Its got the exynos 4210/Mali 400 SoC we wish we had in the t989, a higher Res screen, better build quality. As far as I can see the t989 only wins at camera quality (barely..), a bigger screen with better picture quality and an SD card expansion, and of course dev support. I'd say both have pros and cons but are essentially on par.
Sent from my SAMSUNG-SGH-T989 using xda premium
Well said, although I believe personally the super amoled plus display makes up for the resolution, the meizu has the same resolution as the HTC sensation for example on a basic 4 inch screen though.

This is a forum. People are free to discuss and debate on topics. Unless your definition of a forum like xda is a place to go download free **** other people pour their lives into to your phone without contributing and trolling other peoples posts. I think the problem stemmed from you just making a thread with a statement in it. You didn't ask any question and it would have been like me posting "I had a brown cat once, it was awesome" and then getting all *****y because people didn't assume I wanted a philosophical debate on why brown cats are superior to other cats.
After clearing it up by actually asking for feedback I think it was just people being snooty.
I haven't heard anything about those phones though. I might have to look up some reviews.

How are would they put an adult's lung inside a 10 year old girl?
I realize that this is not a charity org site, which is why I'm not asking for monetary donations. All I'm asking for is a couple of minutes out of everyone's busy schedule to just sign a petition that could possibly help the child from my post above or any other child that may face the same situation in the near future.
Besides, the last I checked, this is an off topic forum.
Also for those that feel this is fake...that's why I posted the link to abcnews site. This was also on the news broadcast this afternoon. Check all the news sources online or offline and let me know if you find that this is a scam.

Even when petitions "succeed" they typically do absolutely nothing and the people who sign them go back to their lives feeling like they made a difference. If you really care about something then you need to call or write your representative and encourage others to do the same.
Also for those that are skeptical, the petition to Make Unlocking Cell Phones Legal received 114,322 signatures(including mine) and resulted in an official White House response:
OFFICIAL WHITE HOUSE RESPONSE TOMake Unlocking Cell Phones Legal. said:
The White House agrees with the 114,000+ of you who believe that consumers should be able to unlock their cell phones without risking criminal or other penalties. In fact, we believe the same principle should also apply to tablets, which are increasingly similar to smart phones. And if you have paid for your mobile device, and aren't bound by a service agreement or other obligation, you should be able to use it on another network. It's common sense, crucial for protecting consumer choice, and important for ensuring we continue to have the vibrant, competitive wireless market that delivers innovative products and solid service to meet consumers' needs.

You have to ask a mod to delete it. Maybe you can report it and ask for it to be deleted. Dont know if you can report your own thread though..
A man escapes from a prison after 15 years. He breaks into a house to look for money, jewelry and guns. Inside he finds a young couple in bed. He forces the man out of the bed and ties him to a chair. While tying the wife to the bed, the convict gets on top of her and kisses her neck, then gets up and goes to the bathroom.
While he's in there, the husband tells his wife: "Listen, this guy's an escaped convict, look at his clothes! He probably spent lots of time in jail and hasn't seen a woman in years. I saw how he kissed your neck." If he wants sex, don't resist, don't complain, do whatever he tells you. Satisfy him no matter how much he nauseates you. This guy is obviously very dangerous, if he doesn't get his way he will most likely kill us both. Be strong honey, i love you.
To which his wife responds: "He wasn't kissing my neck. He was whispering in my ear. He told me he was gay, thought you were cute, and asked me if we kept any Vaseline in the bathroom. I told him where to find it. Be strong honey. I love you too!
