Anyone else try to get one of these lately? I sent it twice last night, and still no response.
You have a newer hboot? Revone (been a minute since i used it) i believe didnt need a htc token
Sent from the bowels of hell
Revone doesn't work on the newest bootloader. So htc unlock might be the only option. I did it last week and it worked. Have you tried another email? I used gmail and it worked fine.

Yep, tried a different email. At the moment on HTC Dev, I can't even get past the 'are you sure?' screen. The only clickable option on that popup is the 'no' button. Can someone else try it to confirm?
My HBoot is 1.44, so would Revone work? Isn't 1.5X the newest?
Thanks
EDIT: I think the lack of clickability on the button is related to some type of blocking at my workplace. Maybe Java?
I changed a security setting in my browser and got through HTCdev, and finally got the email by using another email account. My primary email didn't even show it in spam or anywhere else. It worked instantly with another email account. I really don't understand why it wouldn't even come through on my primary email, but oh well.

Think I've read somewhere that's it's possible via adb, but you'd need usb debugging to have been previously enabled before you got locked out.
That's all I got as a possibility....

Thanks for the reply. Unless usb debugging is checked by default, I'm 99% sure she did not check it.

I don't see it happening I your case. It's kind of the whole reason behind a lock code. Factory reset is going to be your only hope.

I dont know if things have changed. but before if you kept failing. eventually It would ask you if you forgot your password. Then you would it would email your gmail mail account with a link and instructions to unlock your phone.

We've tried so many times and it hasn't prompted us forgot password questions.
I see under the stock recovery you can still side load through adb.

I thought I would post what I think was the problem in case someone else has the issue. I think it is Gmail verification feature. It maybe possible if you forget your phone password, you can use the Gmail email password to get in as mention on some of the post? AT&T also said she should be able to unlock phone with Gmail password. Details below.
Phone has been reset a few days from posting this. Good thing pictures are syncing with Google Drive.
I believe the problem why the password would not work is because of Google's verify feature on Gmail. For example when you go on to another computer and try to access your gmail, it will ask for a verification code and send you a text with the verification code. I believe this was the problem because once the phone was hard reset, the phone would not accept her Gmail account password. After diagnosing this issue, I decided to try to disable the verification feature on Gmail. Once it was disabled, I was able to get past the Gmail password issue.
To avoid from this happening again I put Androidlost which will allow me unlock the phone remotely. Great App especially being free. My wife doesn't want the phone rooted so this is the best solution for me plus I been using this App since the Galaxy S2 was released and never had an issue with the App. I actually had the app installed before she got locked out but never finish registering the phone, yeah that sucked. Lesson learned the hard way.
Thanks everyone who tried helping.
If u have linked your phone with android device manager you can simply change the password to whatever you want on android device manager on your desktop.

I am having the same frustration. Checked in Spam, Promotions and any other area that I could. I submitted mine last night. Although after I submitted for it, it never reverted to another page though and was just a blank webpage. I have no idea if that has anything to do with it at all.
Yeah I'm going on 4 days now. And I've used two different moto x's on three different computers with 3 different browsers. FML. I'm just returning the phones to Motorola. I'm tired of this crap.
Oh wow that stinks! Wish I could help. I did mine on a Saturday afternoon and literally got the email within minutes of requesting it.
Did you try to resubmit ? Maybe a different email?
Yeah, its odd if it isn't instant. Mine have all been there as fast as I could switch browser tabs. There have been times the website has gimped though, so maybe the email portion has been down when you requested the keys.

i guess you could always just call them and they can figure it out. stupid question but maybe you were signed into a google account that you didn't think you were when you clicked on the button to sign in with your google account... i don't remember it telling me what account i actually signed in with or if it told me what email it was sending it to. but i just did it less than a week ago and it was instant. maybe their servers are screwy or something.
i know someone already said it but there is a junk email box in gmail. didn't notice it before i was looking for an email that didn't come. but clearly you already probably checked that. just thought id mention it.
just thought of this, might not matter at all. but maybe the phone needs to be connected to motorola device id or something. wouldn't make sense that it would matter but i had my motorola device id connected to my google account before i tried to get the code. just another idea.

Would the "junk" folder your referring to be the same as the "spam" folder in Gmail? Sorry but is the Motorola Device id stuff in the Moto Care app? I don't have my X set up with the thing of clearing my phone from the Motorola site. Is that what you are referring to?

i have a spam and a junk folder. I don't know why both of them exist but they both do. By motorola device id i didn't mean being able to clear stuff from motorola. that probably needs to be set up in some motorola app that i don't use. i was referencing:
settings>Motorola Device Id (found under the personal heading on the verizon moto x).
when you click that it asks if you want to connect your phone to your google account. Like i said, i doubt it matters at all for getting the unlock code. it shouldn't anyway. but i figured id mention it just in case it does for some odd reason.
edit: just realized the junk folder i was referencing only gets email in it if you tag something as junk. so yes the spam folder was the correct folder i was meaning to say, not the junk folder.
I had that problem of not receiving the email from motorola when I was requesting the code via Motorola's website for my country (Brazil). When I tried using Motorola's USA website I got the email immediately. So try using the website for another country. You don't need a proxy, just change the location on the bottom of the site (http://www.motorola.com/sites/country-selector/index.html)
Ok I finally got it to work. I signed up for another Google account, and logged into the Moto site using the new Google account. I went through the unlock procedure and it worked first time no problem. I have no idea what's wrong on Moto / Google's end and why the emails got lost in space.
I tried searching for this issue but I am not finding anything. After updating to Android 4.4, I am having some kind of texting issue about 50% of the time. What happens is, I am typing a text message in landscape mode and I hit send and nothing happens. I flip the phone and when it goes into portrait mode, the text area goes black (keyboard is still active at the bottom of the screen). I also cannot backspace in the message. All 3 of these effects happen together as a result of some weird glitch. I can hit the home button, then go back into that text thread and there's no draft saved. The second attempt is always successful. This only happens in text messaging. I'm using the standard built-in keyboard and I do not have Google Hangouts linked to my text messaging. I have no idea how to fix this. Any help is appreciated.

T-Mobile HTC One 4.4 texting issues after update
I am also having texting problems too after the update. I still text using "phone" which is the old school flip phone t9 method. Several major and annoying problems have occurred after the update. First issue, auto space is forced and can't be turned off so after making up words or trying to add punctuation it will put a space and I have to back up and erase the space. The other issue is some simple words like "go" and "am" won't generate when trying to create the words using t9 also known as "phone"
I need this problem resolved or I will go nuts

T-Mobile HTC 4.4 update issues
I don't want to have to download 3 party texting applications when the stock HTC texting app is perfectly fine up until this defective 4.4 update.
They said some people were experiencing issues. I just suggested using a third party until an update either for the phone or the individual app comes out.

if a factory reset doesnt help only your carrier can help
Well, I did a factory reset and it was good for a couple of days and now it's starting to do the same thing again. Any other ideas? Do I have to talk to Verizon and/or HTC now? I've had the phone for about 5 months now. I feel like if I could just reinstall the 4.4 update that would fix the issue.
Hi all,
I'm running into an odd issue on the N6, although other devices seem to have this as well. . .
I used to be able to use google now to set alarm, send message, etc while its locked.
Now, doing the same things, google now replies that it can't complete the task until device is unlocked.
Is anyone else running into this and is there any way around it?
Thanks!
Bump ... help please?
rom you are using? and android version?
it only happens when the device is locked with a password or something similar. If you disable that you're good to go.

I have this issue. I can't set alarms or reminders unless I unlock the phone. The voice prompt tells me so. Quite annoying. Hopefully they remedy it with smart voice unlock soon

This updated feature now affects texts via voice now. I can no longer wake my phone from sleep and send a text unless the phone is unlocked. More of a reason to move to a moto x pure now. what a huge step back.

Hi, I just saw your post and I was having the exact same issue. The only way I can get around it currently is by rolling back to an old version of the "Google App" which seems to encompass Google Now, Voice Search, Google Now Launcher, and most importantly the OK Google "always on" functionality.
I went back through previous versions testing the "OK Google call _____" (screen off & device locked) feature until I found where it stopped working correctly and the "4.9.22.16.arm" version is the last one that does work the way it is supposed to. You can find older versions of the Google App on Apkmirror. Hopefully they track down the root cause of the issue and fix it soon.
This is a new one for me, but here it goes:
Coming from a 5.1.1 ROM, a full wipe (just not internal data), then installing one of the two 6.0 ROMs I get the same error upon start up:
After putting in my email address and password, I get the notice "You must login as one of the device owners", or something to that effect. They keywords there would be the device owners...I'm not sure what that means and I've never had a problem with my account.
I've had my same gmail account since 2004 and I'd hate to have to change it only because of Marshmallow.
I haven't seen anyone else experiencing a problem like this, and I'm concerned as to why it seems to be unique in my case. I an NOT encrypted, neither before the install or after (custom kernel).
Unlike Lollipop, there is no "skip" button when logging into a Google account, you HAVE to with Marshmallow upon first install.
Any help would be appreciated.

The first 6.0 ROM I flashed made me reset my password for some reason. No matter how many times I'd enter in the CORRECT password, I was told something wasn't right and got kicked back to the login screen. Once I changed the password on my PC, I went back to the ROM and thats when the scenario in the OP happened.
It looks like I have to wait...or create a new email address possibly?
No, your gonna have to use your original account to unlock your phone. 72 hours it is...

One question I do have is if I can have multiple gmail accounts linked to one device. I have another gmail account but I looked at the "My Device" settings, and it has no device attached to it and no option to attach one!
Well, yes you can, but you'll have to "attach" the account from the device in question.

I think I just did that, verified phone number, added google account to the 5.1.1 ROM, I'm not sure where else I'd attach the device.
You need to first be logged in, with your original account...
And by the way, I saw you were trying to get help in another thread as well. I don't know why you ended up in this situation (being unable to log in in the first place) but I do know you need to wait 72 hours. If you can't log in after that, come back and we'll try to help you out...
