[Q] windows 8 on our razr i dual boot - RAZR i Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hey guys, i don't know so much about mobile phone development, but is it possible to have a working windows rom for our phone? I mean, RAZR I can be unlocked about boot loader, and it has x86 soc. Why don't make a dual boot rom with windows and android? Or just windows to try the stability and performance on this 2ghz atom cpu? Please explain (better with details) if it is possible or not. I'd like to learn. Thanks!

Everything is possible. But the major issue would be the phone drivers I think.

RAM-Vista

Hi guys, I have a problem with RAM.
I have 4GB RAM but Windows Vista recognise only 2.5.
Do you know any solution?
Except changing to 64bit OS.
Hi there, Vista 32-bit can only use up to 3.5 GB. Not more. But still you miss 1 Gb if you really mean 2.5. Be aware that you graphics may also use shared memory!
Best regards,

could be the motherboard? Might not support 4gb
Has your pc EVER recognised all of the RAM?
read all about it here

Try doing 'Clear NV RAM' and 'Load Defaults' in the system BIOS, that might help.

There is way to install andriod without WM rom ?

Hi,
I would like to know if there is way to install just android without install Windows Mobile rom ?
I mean that the Android boot without using WM ...
At the moment no, I think we lack a bootloader to start booting the rom, also Android is not yet stable enough to use as a stand-alone OS for our phones, I'm certain it will all come together in time, much as the Familiar Linux Project did on the Ipaq series of PDA's.
Until then we have the best compromise, useable android, with the comfort of having WM still available for when we really need it.
Moved as not ROM Development....

Any custom kernels for this device?

I mean, maybe you can create a custom kernel for this device, you know maybe over clocking the GPU,
And is it really not possible to make a 64bit ROM for device? I saw some one on the other thread that it is not possible due to needing a lot of resources to work
It does have a 64bit processor
Maybe a custom kernel will help?
The specs are at the attach ments.
