the zip file was downloaded from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1781899 and i flash it via CWM manager.
try flashing hydracore or another kernel that is ok for your rom with pc odin and try again.

i realize i flash the wrong CWM which might have resulted in the problem. when i booted the phone into recovery mode and tried to re flash the right one, there is still no change. sorry for the question, but when i flash hydracore with pc odin, i place the file in PDA box?
yes pda box. if cwm has a problem then flashing with it may cause bigger problems so using pc odin is much safer i think.
sometimes kernel mite not be able to override the installed recovery image.. if that then install the rom again using pc odin.

Hi, i have just flash it. however it now refuse to start up. its has this triangle ! sign appearing when i start the phone.
boot into recovery and do a factory reset. yes the yellow triangle will be there as u flashed a custom. kernel from odin.
you can remove that with triangle away app by chainfire. by refuse to start up you mean you cant enter download mode? i hope trying to flash something with wrong cwm didnt make any harm. if you can enter cwm menu you can try wipeing to factory reset cache and dalvik cache. if no cwm but download mode flashing a stock gb may help.

as in it doesn't move away from the samsung screen . its stuck there. and constantly boot itself into recovery. i did the factory wipe twice but nothing seems to be working. im going to try to flash back a stock rom and see if it works *cross fingers*
factory wipe cache wipe and dalvik cache wipe. if you done all that and no go flashing a gb rom with pc odin is the only way to try right now.
Flash a stock rom via pc Odin then wipe everything

Hi all! since i am limited to only 5 thanks per day, i would like to thank you all for your help. the problem lies in the fact that for some reason the flashing of the wrong cwm kinda screwed my IMEI no. I brought it back to Samsung who charged me $152 to replace my motherboard though i have no idea what restoring IMEI no. got to do with replacing Motherboard.

Try to flash kernel with CWM, ThunderZap. Then try to install Supressed ROM in CWM. See what happends.
You need ADB for installing kernel. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=879701
ADB shell should work when you get to that screen of Wizzard. You are in system then.
P.S. In cwm wipe: system, cache, dalvik cache, and do factory reset before instaling Supressed ROM.

No. Do one time. Root it, install kernel with CWM. Then backup that stock with custom kernel. Then you will have backup of that. And you can restore whenever you want.

Just try CM or PAC, those roms work fine. There was another case on here of somebody who had the same problem when flashing a MAHDI rom.
Just read the thread of the rom before you start flashing, or at least read the last 5-10 pages so you know what the status of a rom is about.
Hope you get a nice new rom on your phone! I'm using the CM10.1 29.10.2013 build from ubberlaggydarwin for a long time now without ANY problems, just working perfectly, it's here:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=46701602&postcount=1
Otherwise you might try FreeXperia roms. Up to you. Enjoy.

Before doing anything ... Remove your device's back cover and push the small button for 5 seconds...
Your device will vibrate 3 times.. After that wait 10 seconds and switch on your device...
Try installing a new recovery... Try the doomlord's advanced system recivery or doomkernel..
After installing the recovery try to flash the zip again..
If nothing happens ... Try a stock rom...
All the best !!! Hit thanks if it helped ...

Follow these steps... firstly copy the superuser zip file into your external SD card.. Be sure that your device is atleast 60-70% charged..
1. Flash a stock ROM via flashtool in flash mode.
2. when flashing is done... flash the recovery u want from flashtool in fastboot mode.
3. switch ON the device and enter into the recovery ... (CWM recovery)
4. install the zip ... wipe cache and dalvik cache.. and reboot..
try this recovery..
