Hello,
I just got an used Xperia Z I and I immediately wanted to root it. I has the newest firmware and so tried this guide by DooMLorD. The thing is I can't get past the second step. This is what I get:
{
"lightbox_close": "Close",
"lightbox_next": "Next",
"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",
"lightbox_start_slideshow": "Start slideshow",
"lightbox_stop_slideshow": "Stop slideshow",
"lightbox_full_screen": "Full screen",
"lightbox_thumbnails": "Thumbnails",
"lightbox_download": "Download",
"lightbox_share": "Share",
"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",
"lightbox_new_window": "New window",
"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
As you can see, the Wipe option is empty and pressing the flash button won't flash it anyways. Unknown sources and usb debugging is turned on
and it's connected in flash mode. Can you help me out?
Firstly, just to make sure that you have everything setup properly and are following the correct procedure - How to flash stock roms with Flashtool
Next; the wipe option is not supposed to be there, as the FTF doesn't contain /data (or anything but the kernel).
And finally, I do not connect my phone in flashmode until after pressing the 'Flash' button and being prompted to. Give that a try.

Thank you for the reply. It was like you said. Connect in flash mode after Flashtool prepped the kernel. Silly me, but I am happy now
Looking forward to tinker with the phone with the help of this wonderful community :laugh:
Happy to have helped.

Hi Everyone.
Today I updated stock KKA to stock LC1 using Settings->About phone->software update.
Everything went well but after every reboot and sync with Kies this message pops up :

"lightbox_previous": "Previous",
"lightbox_error": "The requested content cannot be loaded. Please try again later.",

"lightbox_zoom": "Zoom",

"lightbox_toggle_sidebar": "Toggle sidebar"
}
Anyone knows how to get rid of that, because it's kinda annoying
Switch off device
Then press volume up + home +power
As screen display start, release power button,but keep pressing rest two.
When enter into recovery
Select (with vol up n down) wipe cache
Press hone to enter choice
Reboot recovery
Hope it will remove your problem.

You still have stock recovery even if you are unrooted. Do as Dr Ketan has told you and wipe cache.
after wiping cache it says:
It means update was not successful, May be this msg not appear on next boot.
Try again with OTA, if it dont show update, Connect to kies and update it.
The installation was actually succesfull. I don't know why the message was poping-up. However, after checking for update via settings the problem is gone.
Thank you guys for your help
Hello. I'm in deep ****. I was studying chemistry and I saw the new update of GingerDX v30. I downloaded it and decided to reboot my phone and install it. So yeah, I did.
Now, I try to turn it on and only the "Sony Ericsson" logo appears. That's it.
I cannot enter the xrecovery, and my computer doesn't detect my phone.
What to do now?
Please, help ASAP.

use pcc, seus, or flashtool(+stock rom) to repair it. you're on stock kernel, right?
[cAs]
Install the drivers.
Charge your phone fully. This is very important. Sometimes phone doesn't get recognized. Have patience. Put it on charging . Download SEUS(sony ericsson update service) to your computer and install it. connect your phone to PC and run SEUS. All the other steps are self explanatory in that tool. It installs Stock kernel and stock ROM. This is the easiest process and safest method in my view. Good luck :angel:
Got friend's phone caught up somewhere in between while the phone was working fine.
Running on Remics-JB and it restarted at once.
So thought to go back to recovery using the one click recovery uckf1 with bootloaders.
The flash was successful, however when it got reboot it said, "E: error in cache/recovery/sec_csc.zip"
Can anyone help me on this please.

U could try Wipe data/factory reset in the Stock Recovery then Reboot, if ya got ur stuff backed up already or if it doesn't matter at this point.
If that doesn't fix it then use the Stock KK4 One Click without bootloaders...Odin or Heimdall, whichever u r comfortable with, found here...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=18370912&postcount=3

That screen just means that ur flash to stock was not successful. And that screen works just like a Download Mode screen. See this thread for info on Captivate - PC Connection Issues...http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=33227541&postcount=1
Try a different micro usb/usb cable and see if that will make the Odin or Heimdall flash to Stock KK4 successful.

Hi, i have Xperia SP (C5302) with stock 245 firmware and kernel, rooted, locked BL and trying to upgrade my phone into 254.
I've downloaded the updates via OTA and ready to install. When i press "install", my phone is rebooted and install the updates. But in a half way, it stopped and it booted into the system. I thought it was finished but it wasn't. It said "couldn't install" :/

What's wrong with my phone? I'm indonesian. Isn't my country supported with OTA upgrades?

For ota to work you need a unmodded phone try hidding root with apps like hide my root.
Also if you have modded any part of the system files ie deleted, added,deodexed,it will fail.
You need phone to be in completely stock in untouched condition

Looks like you'll need to revert back to stock. You can get the firmware with Xperifirm software on your PC.
Then flash the phone with FlashTool.
It's been a while since I did this on my XZ2c so I can't provide more details, but reading about those two links should get you started.

Try using Sony Companion. SOMC Flash Device using same fastboot command so can be faked to fastboot.
