[Q] Quick help please! about S-OFF

Ok mine is an incredible S.
Current stats:
VIVO PVT SHIP S-ON RL
HBOOT-1.16.0000
RADIO-3805.07.03.05_M
eMMC-boot

I want to S-OFF it and put on the CyanogenMod 7.
How do I do this? The only thing stopping me from as far as I know is the HBOOT version (it is too new) therefore I cannot S-OFF yet...
I've seen a thread around that I can make a goldcard and flash with a stock ROM but does it change your HBOOT (as-in downgrade it?) so I can flash...

That is the key question. With the new HBOOTs that HTC has released for other devices, including the Verizon Incredible 2, the HBOOT cannot be downgraded with the phone in S-ON state when you try to run an older RUU or load an older ROM.zip, so it may be the same with the IncS HBOOT 1.16.
You can give it a try and report back.

I'd rather not try, as I don't know what im really doing. apparently there is a new 2.3.5 sense 3.0 rom coming out so ill jusyt install that. I'm refreshing the revolutionary page 5 times a day.

Wow... I bought my Incredible S from Virgin about 5 days before you did, and I got the old HBOOT version which Revolutionary supports. Looks like you got the short end of the stick there.
Have faith in the Revolutionary guys and gals. They will find a solution. Then you can join us in the S-Off club! Breathe deep, and keep refreshing that page!

i flashed Android Revolution HD via clockworkmod
and now my speaker & mic are not working with the native phone app. i cant hear the other person and they cant hear me.
i download some apps from the market place to test calling over wifi and it works fine. just the phone app has problems.
i also flash ROM][Jul-15-2012][STOCK][RUU][ICS][Sense 3.6][Asia/WWE] 4.10.707.1 and same problem.
i know definitely its not hardware but dont know where the software is gone wrong.
please help

Did you happen to come from a Froyo rom? If so you'll need to flash a new radio. Froyo radios don't work with ICS.

does gingerbread support froyo radio. im okay with using gingerbread.

Yes a GB radio will work on ICS. GB rom will need GB radio as far as I know. Chk the threads and stickies for radio files and how to flash. I use the adb flash method personally.
The latest radio is 3831.18.00.11_M

HTC G1 Stock Update to 1.6-NOT HAPPENING !

Hi,
I have a HTC G1 (DEV Version) with stock 1.5 version installed.
I dont want to ROOT it, i just want to install 1.6 Official version on top.
I downloaded : signed-kila-DRC83-from-CRC1.c41b93c1
But it fails saying : NOT SIGNED
Any links please.
this is a DEV Phone 1.

well the developer phones are prerooted to my knowledge but either way more info is needed. boot into bootloader and write down everything on that screen. once it is know what radio and spl is on the phone then its easy to put on a stock 1.6 rom (although custom donut roms are more often superior)

You did not search properly!
what custom Rom are you running as per your post you just have an unlocked bootloader.
Read the stickies ? You'll find all solutions!

The Vivo_W is the Droid Incredible 2/CDMA IncS, so you really should be asking in the Droid Incredible 2 forum.

Download your kernal zip and putit in your sd card then enter recovery and install zip from sd card

[Q] Query for awesome KITKAT rom

as I am not allowed to post in developer thread can anyone please help me with my problem.
I am using 4.4.2 by onejay09, awesome ROM by the way but for me ringer is not working if someone has the solution please let me know.
I am using it with S-on

also i was having TWRP first but installed ROM manager by clockwork from play store so it installed clockworkmod as well
So, as I am not developer I don't know how to remove TWRP but now whenever I press Recovery from bootloader it takes me to CWM touch directly
Is it OK to have both recovery on phone? Is it the root of cause?
Help would be appreciated guys
