4.3 SuperSu Problem - Motorola Atrix HD

Hello Guys, I had problem with supersu on 4.3... I googled it and downloaded update package and flashed it... everything is ok, but when I update supersu from market it doesn't installing in normal mode... when I update it with CMW directory bind doesn't work correctly... before update via cwm there is red icon, but after cwm updating it is green but game doesn't start, it downloads data.... what to do?

You need root access for a game to run properly? I wouldn't trust that game. And all of the latest updates for our 4.3 ROMs have working root so you shouldn't need to install SuperSU.
Sent from my MB886 using xda app-developers app

no I don't need root access to run game... directory bind gets root access but it doesn't make bind.... there is green icon, but game doesn't run propertly.... I flashed cm 10.1 today and have same problem... directory bind was working property few days ago... :X

[Q] Rooted, no SU Binaries

Hi. I have Android 2.3.6 on my Galaxy Ace. I wanted to root it with upd_1.zip. I used the stock recovery. It said installation complete, so I rebooted. The Superuser icon has appeared in my app drawer so I was very happy that it was successful, but my SuperUser says that I haven't got SU binaries, so I haven't got any root access. I've searched for similar problems, but I didn't find any. What do I do now?

Sorry buddy, never heard of such an issue. I guess you try to Unroot and Root again. U may try xda for some better Root procedure or search my blog www.andro-sapien.blogspot.in.
Do let me know if it is sorted out by Re-Rooting.
pls help
So, I unrooted and rooted and there's the same issue. Original Superuser says - Checking available version failed, so I tried to delete the app data - that didn't work. I updated the Superuser and it says that I doesn't have SU binaries.

Try this:
https://hotfile.com/dl/178579596/5420e4d/acegingerroot.zip.html
or
https://hotfile.com/dl/180452656/3c2538d/gingerbred-2.3.6-root.zip.html
I actually have a similar sounding problem but arrived at it differently.
My phone had been rooted and working OK for over a year. At some point the latest superuser binary stopped functioning with adb wireless.
So I downloaded SuperSU a few months ago and it's different binary fixed that particular issue. So all was working fine until failing to update that binary today. I'm now in the same boat as you but don't have a clue how or why.
This 2 files are the same as my upd_1.zip. The very same. My upd_1.zip has xbin with busybox, su etc. but it doesn't want to be flashed for some reason. The only files in my xbin folder (in the phone) are : busybox, dexdump, although I flashed the other needed binaries. What is this? Is this my phone's fault?
@edit : Can I flash CWM without those binaries?

Yes you can, and then you can try to flash root again.
If not you can flash CF-Root (only for Gingerbread!!) maybe it works :S
1º Flash via recovery CWM
http://www.mediafire.com/download/u331vcwkr36c28n/CF-Root-S5830-v3.7-b84.zip
2º Flash via CWM APP, it'll fix the bootanimation
when your android will boot, go to CWM app (in your drawer) and select "Flash kernel" and select this file
http://dfiles.eu/files/1sfl9qotm
I flashed CWM Recovery, and now when I select install zip from sdcard and select root file, it says error 7 - update aborted.
@edit - I found the AceGingerRoot.zip. Is it legit and can I install it on GT-S5830 (it has different MD5 than upd_1.zip and root.zip).

I've always used Acegingeroot to get root permissions... do what you consider more solutions, impossible
Acegingerroot didn't worked. No errors at all, but still no root access.

What rom are you using?
Is GT-S5830 your device model?
Did you try CF-Root b84?
Have you got enough free internal memory?
if you have Thinkfree installed, try to delete it flashing this file before flashing root file:

I use the stock ROM - GINGERBREAD.XWKTQ (from the Polish mobile network Play Mobile)
Yes, I have GT-S5830 (checked twice in settings and on box)
No, i didn't tried it.
I have 54 MB left.
I have ThinkFree.
Is ThinkFree Office the problem?

The last firmwares haven't enough space in system partition to push correctly root files, I don't know about your rom, I'm using KTM form Spain as base and I've never had a trouble, but if your problem is that your rom is using all the internal memory (system partition) you couldn't push root files, so you can try deleting ThinkFree from the system partition and then try to root your phone...

Hey, but when I have got CWM flashed, can I flash a custom ROM without those binaries? I just wanted to root my Ace because I wanted to have ICS.

umm I think, yes... I've read post where people have flashed CWM and then a custom rom, but I wouldn't advise you to do it directly... anyway you can try it if you want and report then what happened
Actually, I'm gonna wait till more people on forum will help me. I don't want to risk so much. I don't know what can I do.

LOL! Well thought out! I wouldn't do it either
if upd_1, acegingeroot, and cf-root didn't work and you want to root your device, the best way is to use Odin and to flash a fresh stock rom which it allows you to flash this files

OK. I'm gonna do that, but can you post me some links with download and instructions for my Ace?
And - if I flash a new ROM with Odin, will my CWM recovery disappear?
Oh, I found my ROM on Samfirmware from Play Mobile (XWKTQ 2.3.6), so there's no point of installing it right? I need just a fine ROM with polish language.
EDIT - I almost forgot - I didn't tried the Delete_thinkdroid.zip thingy. I'm gonna flash it now and post the results.
EDIT 2 - WHAT?! I flashed Delete_thinkdroid.zip and it didn't even deleted it. I still have ThinkFree and it's working! Guess i'm gonna need that new ROM. It seems that my ROM just refuses to use recovery flashing in any way.

update superSU

hi, i want update superSU from v1.25 to v1.40
so i want the file: (superSU.zip v1.40) to update by CWM
Hi,
Actually the last update is v1.41: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=23427715
In this thread you'll find the flashable update...
Why don't you use the app directly from the Play Store?
It should update directly from the Play Store.
Hello,
I've also a question regarding the update procedure of su.
I've installed the superSu App from the playstore and some days ago I've got an update notification for superSu. I try to update the app but If I now start the app, I always get a message "Die SU-Binary muss aktualisiert werden. Fortfahren?" (in english: the su binary needs to be updated).
I have cwm 6.0.3.0 installed, so I've tried to use the twrp/cwm installation method which is mentioned in the superSu app. The phone restarts into cwm, but what exactly should I do there?
thank you all!
regards,
Chris
okay, my problem is solved.
I flashed the updated superSu zip file via cwm, after restarting the phone, everything works fine.

First, make sure you have a custom recovery installed (TWRP or CWM). Then download the latest supersu flashable ZIP from http://download.chainfire.eu/supersu, put it on your SD card and install via TWRP/CWM. That's it.
cant

You couldn't find anything helpful in forums? weird
Use Easy root toolkit or gifroot ( its new and I have not tested it ) . Also, you need to download latest SuperSU from chainfire site and put it on sd card
Flash 230 kernel using flashtool
Root using above mentioned methods.
Install recovery. example, NUT's dual recovery latest 2.8.2. You need to download installer zip and not the flashable zip.
After installing the recovery, check the phone reboots into philz touch recovery.
Chose to install zip and select SuperSU 2.XX zip file. Flash the zip
Reboot the phone and check root access.
Flash 283 kernel using flashtool
easy tool rootkit?
I tried this too but im stuck on deamom started successfully. I tried reinstall and instakl abd fastboot driver. And i cant use any recovery tool it ask for root.
touch recovery
And how to boot into touch recovery. As im using easy root toolkit on. 283 kernal should i have to flask. 230 kernal then easy root toolkit will work? I mean are u sure it wontbstuck on deamon started successfully.? Btw i already habe superuser as my system app i cant uninstall it, but it not updating or giving any app access.
And one more thing my wifi dontbturn on when i flash. 230 kernal ftf file.

Just follow the steps I mentioned.
You can not directly root 283. You will have to flash 230 kernel.
Then Root > Install recovery > at the end of installation of recovery phone will automatically boot into recovery mode.
Then flash latest SuperSU 2.40 zip from recovery menu.
after that check root access with root checker app. Then flash the 283 kernel
kernel device not supported
K after flash I try to root but it say ur kernel device not supported. Also my wifi not work when I flash. 230 so how to I install recovery.
And when I use one click root toolkit it stuck on season started successfully, and on giefroot deacon started but after few process it say kernel devices not supported.

May be you are doing something wrong because I have mentioned the steps which I used multiple times.
Check USB debugging is enabled in settings > developer options. and Unknown Sources enabled in settings >security
when easy root tool is started, you will see a prompt on phone. keep eye on that because disappears quickly.
thanx i rooted
Bro, thanx a lot i rooted my phone now, mistake was one click root toolkit or geofroot not work. After flash i root with towelroot and then update super su i didnt do any recovery reboot. Just grant access in flashtool.
Again thanx.
