okay man im using foryobread now!! looks awesome soo far!! thanks ,,
Usually higher "v" means more features (and maybe more performance), but maybe lower stability.
FroyoBread, in my opinion, is stable at v023b
now that i have rotted , installed xrecovery,, using froyobread,, where can i get a overclock module??
Look in my signature dude.....
I have used Froyobread since v12 and i loved it, until GingerDX arrived. I would give it a try if i was you as its from Doixanh who created Froyobread and its so fast and smooth, also check this out http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1151293
its multiboot and its good, also attached in the post is dualrecovery.zip which will give you both xrecovery and CWM. Have some fun and remember that the bootloader is locked so go mod your phone in the safe knowledge that pc companion will fix any problem i have come across.
Hi, I was able to port the Arconium to our device. I thought of sharing them with other Xperia Pro users.
Gingerbread, please read Arconium 8.2
ICS, please see Arconium ICS 4.0
Kernel, please use Xperia Pro Ultima it has versions for GB and ICS.
Another kernel for ICS is ArcKnight
Before installation, please copy the ROM ZIP file to SDCARD.
GB download
ICS download
Installation:
1. flash the proper kernel version for the ROM version that you wish to flash. (i.e. GB kernel for Arconium 8.2 and ICS kernel for Arconium ICS V4). Please use the latest versions.
2. boot into CWM recovery
3. factory reset, wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache.
4. install zip from SD card
5. reboot
Note for ICS, in AROMA installer you may select either ARC or ARC S, i did not edit AROMA script (mainly because i do not know exactly what i was doing LOL)
All credits to respective developer.
doomed151 for his ROMs
Riyal for his Ultima kernels
jimbo77 for ArcKnight kernel
Please donate to them or thank them for their work.
thanks for sharing.screenshots??
Wow! another one Seems like Xperia Pro users are becoming a Pro of their own devices now

check http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1515148 since it's that one ported to Pro.
it looks like the orginal ICS but with bloat removed more or less.
Been running it for a day now and haven't had any problems at all.

based on its changelog on the original thread, battery life has been improved.
give it a shot and let us know how it works for you
I would just like to post here to say thanks for this nice port!
Thought still not as fast as GB, this is really fast and stable. The moment I started up the phone, I can already feel that it is faster than stock ICS.
I haven't found any bugs yet. With Arconium + O/C + Link2SD, I believe I am going to stay with this ROM for a long while.
Edit: forgot to mention that I am using Riyal's kernel, thanks to Riyal too!
For MK16a users who do not want to be branded as MK16i after flashing a custom ROM, here is an option. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1751048
Looks similar to Stock ICS
Used This Rom A Week Ago.
I would say ppl who like to stay with the features and looks of stock ICS with improved speed and battery life.
This is the ROM for them. Thanx to the dev team for such a ROM.
Hi,
May I ask if I could use your ROM without unlocking the bootloader or changing the kernel? I want to stay lock bootloader until my warranty expired
thanks

since this is a stock-based rom, you could use it with stock kernel.
so long as you have CWM to flash it.

Here, I found an amazing app which copy the PIE control.
Here is a video about this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xvGiOQAMI3o
So, is there any developer here, who could port it for our little Mini? :fingers-crossed:
Instead of starting new thread you should've look around first, as it's already proved to be working... I'm using it right now...
Right. I wanted it faster than google could find for me. sorry.

Choco bread is an old ROM, im not sure it will work on that, but it will definitely work on newer ROMS , even CM10 and 10.1
BTW why chocobread? There are so many other better ROMS. If you go to android development section you will find many better ROMs than chocobread. Hell, even cm10.1 works properly now (android development>>Bazinga ROM by The Alchemist)

I'm sorry to hear that. If your phone is still under warranty, flash stock ROM and take it to SSC. (Actually even if it not under warranty, take it to SSC to determine the cause of your problems- it could be hardware related...for all you know, you could have purchased a defective model)
As for the correct method to flash a ROM-
1) Boot into Recovery.
2) Wipe data, Cache partiton.
3) Go to advanced>>wipe Dalvik cache
4) Install update from sd card>>choose update>>ROM.zip
5) After flash wipe data and cache partition.
6) Reboot.
That's all.
Hope this helped. Best of luck in fixing your phone:fingers-crossed::fingers-crossed:
Hi guys i'm quite new to z1 and I'm looking for a .290 based rom, which one will u guys recommend me??
I'm looking for high performance, deodex, and maybe some cool tweak. Hope i can remain the original interface since it looks cool enough for me
I dont care about battery life for now since it's enough.
Thankyou
(incase u guys think that i'm lazy to test each of them myself, yeah i admit i am  , but hope if u can give me recommendation for a start )
read dev section. flashing is not that easy.
there are not many roms, choose from nuts, monx or ihackers.
As the Sony Xperia Z1 is kind-of-new, there aren't too many ROMs for it. Devs are working on some issues about unlocking bootloader and firmwares. I suggest waiting for them to do their job, cheer them up and consider make a donation. In my case I'm looking forward to use MIUI on my Xperia Z1.
It's all a matter of preference.
I've got Doomkernel installed and I'm constantly switching between monx and ihackers roms.
There are bits I like from each of them that the other doesn't have.Still haven't decided which one to settle on just yet.
As suggested, best way is to just flash, use it and flash again and find one that you like.

The best combo for me is: Stock .290 rom, rooted with Doom kernel v.6 (unlocked bootloader) and use Xposed with Gravity Box
Thanks guy
and i'm not 100% noob
got experience with Xperia S before
i'm using the jellyslim rom, the guy did a really great job, first 4.3 rom i can use without problems and lags.
it's not deodexed for now, but the dev said he will release and deodexed version soon.
other than that the rom is perfect.
It's a new device so recommend a rom at the moment it's not recommended.
Been using Monx's rom since the off with the 4.4 launcher from the Nexus and it's superb, no problems at all.
I WAS WONDERING HOW I CAN FLASH THE SONY'S STOCK KERNEL ON A CUSTOM ROM LIKE CYANOGENMOD AND AOKP
BECAUSE ALL THE OHER KERNELS HAVE REALLY BAD BATTERY LIFE
IS THERE A WAY TO RUN CYANOGENMOD ROM ON SONYS STOCK KERNEL ???
I LUV THE SONY STOCK ROM BECAUSE OF ITS BATTERY,BUT I ALSO LUV CYANOGENMOD BECAUSE OF ITS CUSTOMIZATION AND LOOKS
PLEASE LET ME KNOW, IM STUCK GOING BACK AND FORTH BETWEEN SONY'S FIRMWARE AND CYANOGE
First, here are steps in turning off caps lock:
http://www.wikihow.com/Turn-Off-Caps-Lock
Secondly, please search before you post.
Thirdly, if somehow you just can't find what you're looking for:
No, you can't use Sony's kernel on CM11 based ROMs.
You can flash Doom's advanced stock kernel which is just Sony's stock kernel with added recovery via recovery if you want to switch back to stock-based ROMs. It is found in Doomkernel thread, please search for it.
Even we would really like to see AOSP/CM/MIUI on stock kernel, there's no luck...
But...
There are some projects trying to build MIUI on stick kernel so join them and try to help...
..hehe.. Here are steps for turning off caps lock...haha....good one...

CM,PAC other custom roms need custom kernel only..
there are no chances they work on stock kernel....
stock based roms only work on stock kernel
so in conclusion
is there any custom rom out there for xperia z1 that has a really good battery life ?
