Oh yes its 4.0.3. I mistyped. Now we have 4.1.2 which is arguably stable. We have 4.3 under development. We also started development of 2.3 but then I don't know what happened.
Right now development is a bit slow because of exam season.. I hope we catch pace in the winter..

My Barebone on Froyo works like magic. And since 2.3 has even better 3D performance, I think it'll work better on the x1 once it has proper drivers and stuff.

What issue are you having with battery life? I'm on Project X and have found the battery life so much better than almost any other rom I've used. Certainly better than the standard rom, much better.

Dear All,
does anyone gathered experiences with the ROM Nik_JellyBean_Evolution? Actually I´m using CyanVivo X on my HTC Incredible S. Some things don´t work (2g/3g very slow, front camera).
I´m searching for a more or less origin JB ROM.
THX so much!

They all have same bugs , prolly best one at moment is CyanVivo at moment. At least until Szeso or some other dev gets kernel 3.x run on AOSP JB roms. So just wait and hope for the best.

I just got a Galaxy S and am surprised to see so many JB roms available.
I would probably switch over to this phone from my Xperia S, just to use Voodoo Sound
My question is, is JB roms currently stable enough compared to ICS or GB?
Please provide feedback only if you've tried all three versions before :silly:
Yes jb is good i have tried most roms and i blv super nexus rom is very good .. But u cant customize it.. Try it your self ...

Yup, JB is very stable. Personally Liquidsmooth or RemICS-JB are fantastic.

Dear,
I am developing only the FlymeOS for i9000 at now ; soon i will developing a Custom Rom with 4.0.4 base...
You can really forget JB Roms , the one good JB for i9000 is only 4.1.2 ; you can forget JB 4.2.1 and 4.2.2
They are quite fast at beginning , but you will notice how lazy they are going to be ..
I highly recommend ICS roms , because they are really fast and they haven't bugs.
There are some apps that are only avalible for Android 4.0+ (like Nova Launcher) , and so I really can't see that ICS is outdated.
Thats why i only develop and port roms for ICS on i9000 device.

Yup, agreed here. Don't get us (or at least me) wrong, 4.2.2 is fantastic. But ICS is rock stable in just about eery aspect and 4.1.2 is pretty damn good as well if you still want to consider Jelly Bean.
Although @UnlimitedRom, you have to admit Google Now is pretty neat
A lot of JB apks can be pushed manually or installed normally on ICS roms anyway.. Just that ICs roms in general are less customiseable than JB roms.
By the way, FlymeOS is looking goooood

Google Now ... is somebody using it? It think it's kinda useless , it is my opinion.
Only 4.1.2 is a good Jelly Bean for i9000
I really can't see that ICS should be a old OS ; as you have said that JB apk's can be installed on ICS...
I bet that if i9000 device is to lazy for Android 5.0 , there will be lots developers who develop for 4.0.4 ...
Thank you, i am still working on it to get bugs away

Yeah, when google released 4.2 I don't really see the point of it except for some nicer animations or not so important functions.
I was shocked at the sheer number of JB roms for this phone at first because on my previous experiences, JB don't work really well on single core phones
I'd give JB a try first and if it's really bad I would try out the rom of yours, it looks great

JB roms is for dual-core phones to run smooth , thats why GT-i9100 got 4.2.2 ; cause it is a dual-core..

Hey, you never know, rumours are flaoting around that 5.0 is going to be optimised for devices with a 1Ghz processor and 512MB of rom( (one or the other or both). So you never know, 5.0 might really bring the S back to life
But yeah, 4.0.4 is a really good base for the I9000. Smooth, stable but not too taxing for the processor at all (not to mention some pretty good battery life, daaaaaaamn)

Yeah, agreed. The JB roms optimised for gaming work decently- although that's HEAVILY optimised and debloated to give as quick an experience as possible. But it's an OS optimised mostly for dual cores and above. There are very few single-core devices- if at all- that run 4.1 officially, and for pretty damn good reason. Only one I can think of is the Nexus S (Nexus version of the Galaxy S, bearing in mind), and even then 4.2 was dropped for that device. So while its still possible to have Jelly Bean fully functional, at the end of the day...

Let Google release Kit Kat,
then let them release its source,
then let CM start working on nightlies,
let the nightlies stabilise a bit,
Non neon support has been dropped... HOPEFULLY some one using tegra device will manage to port it for us,
then maybe... who knows... depends on the nature of changes too...
Now how do you want the chances, using mathematics or statistics... should I use conditional probability
We only have official ICS, all of jellybean is unofficial...
i say enjoy the current candy, The ROM JB 4.3 is very much stable and usable as daily driver...
Hahahahahaha seriously? 4.3 is still being stabilized and you ask for 4.4 that is still not out? Geez, i love xda lol

I use but each with their problem.
I'm with The Rom Tony P. and love,
clear that hdmi and bluetooth does not work,
but to me it does not matter to me,
but that means unstable,

fingers crossed. Well for those who can't wait for android 4.4 and just want to have a feel of it feel free to download the apks for it.
i dunno if it's true or not, but i read this "One of the key features of the new release is optimizations made to the OS, so as to be able to run smoothly on legacy devices with just 512 MB of RAM." but with that said, i think it will be only custom roms with the Optimus 2X that will give us Android 4.4 bcs i doubt that pre 2011 phone with Android will get updated like LG would give the Optimus 2x, Android 4.4 but i could be wrong...
well i think its time to say goodbye to O2X .....been using it for almost 3 yrs.it had good run....just ordered NEXUS 5......:laugh:
If you guys are so eagerly waiting for 4.4 then why not change it in build prop .
Simple I am doing it since gingerbread. currently I am on 10.2.6
The N5 is very good, but has some negative things.
Battery and camera when change will be for the LG G2 , xiaomi mi3 or S4
