I haven't been receiving phone calls for over a week now. The only notable thing around-ish the time I stopped receiving them is when I updated my P.A.C. rom. I have since tried a different rom, and even returned the phone to stock Sprint RUU but nothing has worked. I still don't receive calls at all. Texts work fine, data works fine. Any ideas on why calls don't come through?

Not without more info about your phone and what you have done. It could be anything from a borked radio to no one wanting to talk to you...

Lol. It could be the radio, but then wouldn't I not be able to get texts or make calls? I rooted/unlocked it when it was first released, switched between roms a bit, stuck with PAC for the last month or so. Since about a week ago I haven't received calls. It may have been around-ish the time I updated to the most recent version of PAC. I did dirty installs over the previous versions, but all were 4.3 roms. I've had people call me to be sure, it rings and rings until it goes to voicemail on their end, but nothing happens on my phone. I tried to fix it today. I returned it to stock via the Sprint RUU and re-locked it. No dice. I think re-rooted and did s-off, installed slim bean, still no go. I can make calls just fine. I can get and send texts just fine. My data is working just fine.

I would think that applying RUU would have cleared up the issue. you might try RUU and then back to sprint store and see if they can fix it. other wise check you RUIM/SIM to NV settings.

I recently installed Android Revolution, and I use GO SMS to handle my text messages. Ever since installing the new ROM, I sometimes have a problem where text messages sent by others get "stuck", as in they only show up when I've sent a text myself.
An example is that I send a message, a friend replies 5 minutes later, but this doesn't show up on my end until I've sent a text.
What could be causing this? I don't think I had this issue when running stock.
Thanks.
I'm also having issues with SMS on revolution... Some of my texts aren't getting sent, and every once in awhile I'll have no activity and then awhile later 10 texts all with timestamps from an hour beforehand get delivered all at once.
I had a lot of issues with texts before this though, my friends on stock rom/stock phone and his texts rarely send.
I'm ENG s-off, radio s-off, gingerbread radio, correct APN's (I'm pretty sure). I'm almost positive this is a problem with the ****ty network and not the rom.
Also every once in awhile I have to reboot, it'll say my SIM card doesn't allow access to the network, or I'll be roaming 24/7... these two are new with Revolution. Definitely having reception issues.
Are you using the .22 radio?

Yes, I flashed 20.2804.30.085AU_3805.04.03.22_M as recommended before installing Android Revolution.
I have no other problems with the ROM, so I don't think mine is a network issue.
I'd try the .27 radio if I were you. I had several texts being delayed or received late, and even a couple of people say they'd tried to ring me but couldn't get through.
Flashed the .27 radio a few days ago and haven't had any of those issues so far.
I'll give that a try this afternoon and see how it goes. Thanks!
Any update as to how this worked? I noticed issues with delayed messages this morning.
I've read that it's a known issue with this model and there may be a fix coming in me July from htc.

Flashing the .27 radio made things a little better, but messages still get stuck sometimes. It's really annoying.
messages getting stuck i think means sms not being able to be sent out. maybe your signal

My messages send fine, it's the delay of receiving messages that is the issue. I get full bars pretty much all the time.
Apparently Gingerbread is the cause of this, at least on my network. (Bell hasn't released an official 2.3 update yet)

Same, i've tried .12 .22 & .27.
The best was .12
But i still get that stupid problem of text messages coming through late.
Go SMS still working fine here. Been spot on for two days.
I've been using the 06.03.03 radio and though it's better, I still have problems with text messages that aren't received/sent quickly. This has been a problem with all the radios on Rogers for me.

My wife is now having problems where calls don't always get through. Strangely we both have the same radio but it seems to work fine for me. Hope the next radio release is better

Try sending the text 'Allow all' without the parentheses to 9999
Sent from Dorian's EVO 3D
Tried. Didnt seem to have worked. any more suggestions?
If the "allow all" text didn't work, and using a sense rom to update prl/profile doesn't work - I would suggest downloading the RUU and reverting completely back to stock. See if it works then, if it does root with z4 or w/e you like and go back to the rom/nandroid you had before.
if it doesn't work call sprint or bring it in to one of their stores
Also, just wondering; you do have plenty of free space on your phone right? People seem to get really weird problems when their phone is running low on internal storage.
And do you use google voice for voicemail?
And what, if anything, did you do at or around the time it started acting up? (ie installed new apps, flashed new kernel, etc.)
Sent from my HERO200 using xda premium
Question1: Yeah i have plenty of space no apps installed.
Question2:Yeah i use google voice. but is not set up right now since i just rooted.
Question3: First noticed no messages being received when i rooted i believe.
Guess illl try to the RUU and see if that works.
Used RUU. Still not being able to receive messages. going to have to contact Sprint.
Try useing a different RUU if your going to doit again, see if that works...just a thought. Later

I have been having problems receiving texts as well ever since I installed a new ROM (this one http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1090234) 2 days ago.
All functions seem to work fine, including outgoing text messages, but incoming do not work at all.
I had been running Cyanogen Mod 6 for about a year without any problems except speed, just wanted to try a newer and possibly faster ROM. I did have issues whenever I would get a "low space" indicator but that doesn't seem to be the case with the current issue.
I am using Google Voice for voicemail.
My service provider is Cellular South, btw, not Sprint.
Ran the RUU but still didnt work. so i updated to newest build and still didnt work. still havent had a chance to call Sprint.

Problem Solved. Since sprint merged with google my settings where changed and were set to receive text messages to google voice and not my phone. If anyone else has this problem just go to your account in google voice settings and make sure that theres a check mark next to receive text to phone. thanks to all for the help =)

That didn't work for me
Of course, I'm not on Sprint, but Cellular South. Still no joy on my end. I actually reverted back to my previous CyanogenMod via Nandroid, which WAS receiving text messages just fine, but now it doesn't work either.
I have the original Cell South 2.1 RUU I could use if necessary, but hoping not to have to do that. Looking like I might have to, though.
Finally got it up and running.
I was about to run the 2.1 RUU but then remembered I made a Nandroid backup of my 2.1 Sense-based config before the first time I rooted so I restored to it and dialed *228 to download the latest updates. The texts then started working, so then I reverted back to my Nandroid backup of my new ROM and it worked like a charm!

So I got the N7000 yesterday and using "Phone' APN as detailed in the post about getting it running on AT&T, and everything seemed to be working fine, but my friend reports that upon trying to call me, she reached a random stranger instead, multiple times??
Is there some setting I did wrong? How can phone calls to my phone number possibly be routed to another person?
Btw I was running checkrom v5 and received phone calls fine, and then updated to v6 and the problem seem to start then. But I'm not sure as I could have been missing phone calls before that.

My m8 running the viper one rom was working fine until yesterday evening, as of yesterday evening it has not been able to call, and will only receive my texts intermittently, my friends phones, and neighbors who are on sprint are working fine, does any one have any ideas what may be causing this? would flashing another rom, or reflashing the radio fix it?
I reflashed my rom, and it appears to be working fine now
The problem started only a few days ago when my phone suddenly stopped receiving text messages. At the time, I was running Cyanogenmod 11 on my Sprint HTC One (M7). There were no errors of any sort; any time I would attempt to send a message, the phone would say that the message sent and that was the end of it. Also, any SMS messages that were sent to me would never reach me. The strange part is that I could send and receive phone calls, had data on the Sprint network, Bluetooth worked, WLAN worked, and GPS was working. Basically, everything but SMS would work.
My first guess was that my messaging program wasn't working. However, no matter what I used (I tried Hangouts, AOSP Messenger, and Textra to equal non-effect).
At that point I figured it was an obscure issue with my ROM of choice. I decided to roll back to a previous random Sense ROM that I knew had SMS working in the past. I used TWRP v2.8.0.2 to restore this old snapshot, and I had the same symptoms.
I tried a few different popular ROMs just to see what would happen. Everything worked great except SMS.
I figured that at this point, I should just roll it back to stock. Carefully following an RUU guide, I downloaded stock firmware and the corresponding RUU. Again, everything was in perfectly working order except for SMS messages.
I confirmed that my phone was not actually registering the sent texts by dialing ##UPDATE#. According to the output of the Self Service screen before and after sending some test texts, that number does not increment.
So I'm stumped. I can't figure out what's wrong with my phone, let alone fix it. I've even taken it to the Sprint store to check if there was some obscure account problem. After a restart, they were stumped, too (I was referred to a different store that I will have to visit over the weekend).
Any ideas what I can try next? Thanks in advance.
Have you tried to update profile (and PRL)? It's a shot in the dark, but worth a shot.

I just updated my phone to 4.06.651.9. On my phone, the ##UPDATE# entry causes it to attempt a "hands-free activation" which includes resetting the profile and PRL. In the previous version, this would not run and redirected me to the Self Service screen. After the update, it actually updated the profile/PRL successfully!
This time, when returning to the Self Service screen, I see that two test texts appear to have been sent! However, the people I sent them to have yet to see them (it's been about 5 minutes). A few more test texts have been sent my way, but as before, nothing is arriving.
Is there any way to test if the SMS messages from my phone are actually reaching a Sprint cell tower?
Second Edit: Updated to 5.03.651.3 I just received a text from Sprint (I decided to have them send a username). I have sent some more test texts, but so far nothing else is happening.

Although that should have worked, that's still not the latest RUU available. Try the first link from the OP here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2795856

Ah, yes. I tried that at first but the firmware simply would not flash. Instead, I went to an early version that did flash and then just upgraded from there. Same behavior, so I was convinced that this was a problem on Sprint's end (I assume that an antenna failure would also cripple phone calls?)
I went to the other store as suggested and they directed me to call tech support or drop $75 on a replacement phone. I called the number, I told them the problem and what I did to try and fix it. They flipped some switch and that was it. Took maybe five minutes.
