Hello to all!
I think i just bricket a friends phone !!
I rooted the device (I9000) and installed CWM. All went fine.
I downloaded a rom and put it on the sd card.
Next i did a wipe, the fone rebootet and now i cant enter recovery (vol+,home,power) it hangs on the samsung logo.
I only can enter download mode with vol-
Please can anybody tell me if there is a way to flash back to stock with download mode or to reinstall recovery and flash custom rom??

Download odin and a complete firmware with pda, csc and phone, enter in download mode flash those and your set.

thnx mario i downloaded odin but when i try to attach a pda file it asks for a tar file? what kind of file is this and where to get it??

Replace "(dot)" with "."
It is latest version I9000XXJVU!!

now i have downloaded 3 files

modem makes sense
wich of the other fies is phone ?? is it the first? second there is crc

I found four files firmware:
1.BOOT_S5830iXXKK5_REV00.tar.md5
2.GT-S5830i-MULTI-CSC-OXEKK4_RST.tar.md5
3.MODEM_S5830iXXKK5_REV00.tar.md5
4.PDA_S5830iXXKL1_REV00.tar.md5
And it`s working perfect with odin 1.85,but one image of md5 file not flashing.
who have Chinese with four files or backup

Read my post carefully
One of those file might be corrupted. Try other firmware first, if it succeed then it might be corrupted

Even i m getting the same problem.. I used Odin 1.7 It Loaded up to System.img..50%... and then suddenly failed.. I dont know what happend...

Odin for GT-S5830 no need a *.pit but an *.ops file. Not sure about GT-S5830i.
So another thread about s5830i...You need Odin 1.85 and a version of Firmware for YOUR country...or just find PDA.tar in google and flash it

i got a rom in chinese and can work with odin 1.85
i cant post link here, It's stock rom for HongKong S5830iZSLA3

Use odin 1.85. the official s5830i odin may not even detect the phone in download mode. open odin 1.85
select pda
modem and csc and ignore boot
phone will flash ok. use jig to enter download mode if combination not work.

I think u should try Odin 1.84 with pit file

the problem with this phone is that odin can't flash it with onepackage file
you have to split the rom to 3 files flashabl with odin

when i was flashing ics TML Via PC ODIN 1.85 the odin is stuck in checkin MD5
then appear this message behind PC ODIN like this " PC ODIN 1.85 ( Not responding ) .. after that it's runing normally
now should i re-flash this stock rom again ? or this is normally ?

- change port
- download ODIN 1.87

i do that and still say not responding then runing normally :S but the flash is pass ? so i dont think it's big problem .. and the rom working fine ,, xS it's difficult if i flash it again because i download su - busybox so i think it's not safe if the busybox uninstalled :S ..

need samsung usb driver to detect phone and odin.
or install samsung kies.

and put the file on PDA without .pit file and no need to tick or click anything..

I was tested it a few moment ago and i must say . . . IT WORKS !! For newbies and noobs, you must put the *.tar.md5 (the rom file) only in PDA section and select START only if you plugged in your phone is in Download Mode and of course +1 for you

Bro just wnted to ask that i am on Jelly blast rom now and want to move on stock rom so i have the firmware and odin v3.0.7 so just i hav to
1.go to download mode
2.just choose the pda file
3.connect cell to pc
4.click start??

which country are you from? better u flash multi package that have pda, modem and csc file. search on development section. are u already install kies/samsung usb driver? odin detect? have comort??

Download the firmware of your choice from here:

You can use Odin 1.84 or 3.07.
PDA goes in PDA
Phone in Modem
CSC in CSC
Don't touch anything else.
1.84 need pit. without .pit it will fail
3.07 is better no need .pit file.

Are u read my 1st post? Why use odin 1.84?? Use odin v3.07. No need put .pit just put pda, modem and csc only. Hmm. Read first man.

if you are using windows 7.then while opening odin,,donot double click.right click first then select RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR.....it wont fail then..i guess

That method is only for original firmware and not from custom 4.2.2
Then flash stock JB and after you can downgrade, right?

After installed the custom 4.2.2 no download mode available, and the odin dont recognise the mobile.

Install a Cocore Kernel, then flash a stock based rom, or reboot on download mode if has the option

Didnt worked, still oding cant recognise it to install original stock firmware
So it should be about your PC drivers.Uninstall and re-install latest drivers or you can install crappy Kies it will install too

The Phone is on Download Mode now, and Odin recognised my phone.
And the 2.3.6 version is uploading now, and seems it is solved.

i was downgrading to GB on my device I9070 it showed pass in odin.. and when it restarted it just stuck on the device name on the screen(start screen)
I tried to enter the download mode to re install the OS but now my phone isnt detected.. while in download mode..
also did a reinstal of drivers and also kies... nothing helped.. but my other galaxy device connected (I9103)
please help.

Which method you use at downgrading ? Did you use pit file and did you check re-partition on Odin ?

no.. i didnt check the re-partition nor i used .pit file.. only the pda in which i had loaded the stock GB rom downloaded from sammobile

That's why you have issues with it.Downgrading have different method you should use pit file and check re-partition, you can't downgrade with a stock GB.
There's a thread in our i9070 forum.Use the given files in the thread maybe PC can recognize your phone.

well... one forum said use pit files.. another said no need.. installed the drivers twice.. tried all that i came so far.. no fruit.. will be going to service center tomorrow.. the last hope that i have..

Nope dude you must use given files on the thread.Use Odin3 v1.85 for process not 3.07.
Anyway here link or go to the service center.
