Created a playlist and added tracks in the order I want them but they're getting sorted into a different order. Also there doesn't seem to be a way to change the order back to what I want. Anybody else found this or got a solution?

Hi all. Just installed Serendipity! I am loving musicmod, but can't seem to get it to read the internal music folder structure properly. Did some searching...but...would anyone have a link to an appropriate thread?

Sorry for not supplying enough info. Here's the issue.
PowerAmp "Albums" tab can read /mnt/sdcard/music exactly the way the subfolders are structured. Songs and album folders are in order and complete.
MusicMod "Albums" tab shows split album folders and duplicate songs.
Can't for the life of me figure out how to fix this.

Ok...somehow the tags got screwed up. Now I have to figure out why some can be edited, and some cannot. Back to work!

This happened to me too. Just clear data in settings > applications > manage applications.

Yeah it's weird but after you install the new Google Music you have to clear data then you can go into the app's setting and connect your Google account.
They still didn't add the abc thing when you scroll with the scroller thing. That makes it so much easier to find a song, especially when driving. I really wish they'd add that/fix it. Any other app that has lists has the abc thing. I still really like the new app though. Much faster and smoother.

It looks a hell of a lot better.. but I don't think I would use it. Player pro is perfect to me.

Album Art?
It doesn't appear to download album art. Anyone else having issues with the Album Art or is there a special way to install/download it? Thanks.
This app does not download art. It will display art already associated with the mp3. Try using the app iTag, it let's you edit any mp3 tag and add artwork to it as well. Hopes this helps.
When I try to use the NFC to "beam" (or whatever you would call it) to my sister who has a gs3 it sends her to to play store to buy the song instead of her just getting the song. Is there a way I could change this or is it just something the One does? Has anyone else experienced this? Sending everything else over NFC seems to work fine. I haven't tried doing it to any other phones so maybe its just a One to gs3 thing? Any help is appreciated

I have the HTC One and my brother has the Gs4. We use SuperBeam for everything nfc related and no problems. Try that from the play store

Nfc seems to only do small things. There's also a problem if the Samsung has s beam turned on.
Another thing to consider is that often it'll try sharing the app rather than the file.

I'd like to expand here that what these applications tend to do is use NFC to exchange bluetooth information and actually send the file using bluetooth. It's also possible that it can be done using ad-hoc wifi.
The more you know.

Any way we can make spotify think our HTC one phone is a tablet ? So we cab benifit from my their new policy with tablets being able to listen to any song you want instead if smartphones can inky shuffle playlist and not choose individually . Either way I'm very happy they did this as I can just take my tablet to work ! And have all the music I want but I know there is got to be something we can change in build prop or app that makes it think it's a tablet and we get even more free spotify on the go
I know there has to be a way into tricking the app your phone its a tablet

Your best bet is to try fooling around with DPI settings, use the App Settings Xposed module for that.
On my Asus Padfone2 (a 2in1 phone and tablet) spotify starts with restrictions when I start the app on my phone.
When starting the app in tablet mode it acts like tablet version.
One funny thing is if I start the Spotify app in tablet mode and set the ASUS setting "dynamic display" for the Spotify app and then take the phone out of the tablet - and now is in phone mode - the Spotify app is still running without restrictions. So its only at system start up on the Spotify application it does the check we all are trying to find..
Please let me know if there are some tweaks you would like me to try on my device...

I've tried everything to do with dpi for play store play services to make play store think my phone is a tablet spotify is even in tablet interface but still doesn't let me pick any song I want must have to do with phone identity or maybe radio I will try tablet mode with airplane mode on and WiFi on and see if that tricks it

Me too
I have an Android tablet and smartphone like many others here and would like to be able to use Spotify without Shuffle Play on my phone.
There most be some bright spark out there that can circumvent Spotify;s method of determining that it is running on a smartphone as opposed to a tablet !
Come on guys - there must be a way...

Same here, I'm on a xiaomi mi2s with miui and changed the DPI but still only shuffle... I even changed the permissions so it can't ask for the phone id and telephone status but no chance... Hope someone finds a solution soon!

Ok just found the perfect solution! http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2596603
I ended up staying with the premium version, in fairness for €9.99 a month it's good value.

Sorry for un-dig this post, but spotify checks the device name on the build.prop, and then verifies that against its own database to see if its a device with more or less than 7".
That simple.
Xposed and tabletmetrics
Anybody know any good apps to dl music? I use to use a couple different ones but they all seem to suck now. Frostwire use to be good. Anybody have any recommendations? Tia.

I got this downloading app from the android Play Store a while ago and they have since removed it about 1-1.5 years ago. It's pretty good at locating mp3s and so far have seen it is the most efficient way at finding music on the go instead of searching in google. Since then i kept the APK backup. Enjoy!

I use Deezer to listen to albums offline, but it doesn't allow you to save items in a standard file format (I'm guessing due to piracy concerns).
