I'm trying to flash original LG .kdz rom but I cannot boot in SW Upgrade mode
what I do:
1. remove the battery
2. hold the vol down button
3. plug the USB cable.
what happens:
the LG logo is displayed and after several seconds the screen flashes (like something will start) and then the phone goes off.
I have clockwork recovery installed and custom rom .. I what to try the stock V30 ICS
ANY idea why is this happening ? and how can boot in SW Upgrade mode ??
don't remove battery and try again
be sure to install correct drivers and you should see S/W Upgrade not the LG Logo..if its still not working try it holding harder.
SOLVED
today i try to changed my rom from cm10 to ICS
first i nvflash stefan v28g with CWM and new bootloader, it successfully flash stefan rom and boot normally
second i transfer django ROM to my external sd card with change vold.fstab and flash it through CWM and successfully flash after that i reboot my phone and it is stuck on a lg logo with a unlock padlock icon with lg word with it
third now i'm trying very hard to repair my phone but it doesn't work i try to enter to nvflash mode but it doesn't work even i press it very hard and try to press it with the battery attached but it show me the same image with a padlock and lg word
can't enter to smartflash or software upgrade also
but my phone is still booting but stuck on lg logo with a padlock and lg word to it
how can i repair it i try already tried all but it is required nvflash mode
SOLUTION
ok i managed to solved it by my self
for users who can't enter nvflash, smartflash, CWM and stuck on lg logo and after you flash volume + and - here's what you need to do:
1. press volume + and volume - observe closely the screen you can see a screen that turn on and off quickly (important! don't loose your grip and keep holding the volume + and volume -)
2. press the power button and hold it for 5 seconds and you can hear a sound from your computer or a notification that their is a device that is connected
3. then nvflash
delete

was with the original rom lg. and then went instalr the recovery of the cyanogen rom manager app, and then hung up the phone and now the message appears in red at the top of the screen
"Critical Failure: Unable to start Kernel.
Unrecoverable bootloader error (0x00000002)"
and I can not get into download mode to install the original rom again.
and now what do I do? I lost my phone?
you flashed cwm without unlocking your bootloader. re-flash latest jellybean kdz file for your phone using http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2069723, then read some more about unlocking bootloader, and then start again.

but now I am unable to get into download mode on the phone. is
" Now just hold down vol - key ( hold hold hold dont release !!!! ) and plug the USB cable until you get screen like this :-"
he does not. whenever I do this it only vibrates strong and goes to the screen with the error message. I do not know why that. remember one time it happened to me already but can not remember how I resolved it is possible to even lose the download mode?
Its not possible afaik. Are you sure you are holding only vol - key and plugging in? Dont hold power key!
yes, I'm almost the whole day trying to get into download mode by pressing volume down + connecting the usb. and whenever it vibrates strong and hangs on lg logo. tried to volume up + usb connect. and no download mode. I'm going crazy with this phone. otherwise hesitate to hard reset? or other shortcut to download mode?

hard reset wont help you, as far as i know, you somehow need to enter s/w upgrade screen. did you try it with battery out?
he battery of the same error, and no battery it does nothing, or vibrate, or flash screen, nothing happens
Will I not be able to see my optimus running again? :crying:
it is not possible to load the kernel, what could I do?

Hi Raphael20 and everyone else,
Did you manage to figure out a solution to this? I have the same issue, i.e. cannot start my phone by holding the power button. Not even when people suggest to get to the S/W Update screen by holding the Volume down + plug into the computer.
I got to this error when I tried to do a factory reset. I installed the ClockworkMod Recovery. Then the factory reset via Volume up + Power button gave me the "Critical Failure: Unable to start Kernel" error. I somehow managed to get access to my phone by holding the Volume down + plug into the computer. Then tried to do a factory reset via the system settings of my phone. My phone restarted and then gave me the "Critical Failure: Unable to start Kernel" screen of death! Now Volume down + plug into the computer gives me the "Critical Failure: Unable to start Kernel", no matter whether I have restarted my computer and I have tried another computer. It seems that the bootloader is wrecked.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi all my Huawei p8 lite fell and lcd broke, i sended it to cellphone shop to replace LCD, now if i switch my phone on it boot loop on huawei logo it switches on and of the whole time it dont want to charge allso, if i plug in charger it just go straight to huawei logo and starts looping, volume down or up or both and power button doesnt work i managed to hold down volume button and plug in usb cable then it takes me to Fastboot&Rescue mode HiSuite opens on my pc but it doesnt pick up my phone it says on the bottom of the screen PHONE UNLOCKED, any help would be greatly aprecciated
Download your phone ROM from HWFF site, copy to sd card, in bootloader ( Fastboot&Rescue mode ) Flash TWRP, boot in twrp and flash the ROM you download, in TWRP go to reboot and select recovery, you will go to default Huawei recovery then do factory reset and try to boot.

another option would be:
Make sure you have downloaded the OTA Update Zip file
Now Rename the downloaded file to update.zip
Extract the Update.Zip file
Create a folder named Dload in the device’s internal storage or on your SD card and put the update.app (Extracted Update.zip) file there
then press the volume up & volume down & power button
then youre system should update the firmware you downloaded

I noticed that model is "not the same" as our version so probably our twrp doesn't work properly, i know there is a version that probably works but i need to find it.
For now check the link above.
