Hello, I have an htc one with a clean esn which was flashed to cricket.
Now I need to use it on sprint.
The device is not rooted and the bootloader is locked. I tried to do an RUU but get an error 140 wrong version.
device specs:
software version : 1.31.651.2
Hboot : 1.44.0000
What do i need to do in order to get this working on sprint again?
FIXED: I found this thread and it worked like a charm. I just had to flash a sprint PRL.

Sent From My HTC One, On The Now Network From Sprint!
I'm waiting for them to get back to me about mine. I'll post it when I get it, but I would think it would be unique for each device.

appreciate it! I am sure that the code that unlocks it is unique but the dialcode to enter said password is probably the same on each device.
So the answer is there is no dial code. They handle it all on their end. The only thing I had to do after calling them was restart my phone.
I just got all my details since Sprint was a huge douche about it and they refused to unlock it.
So I paid $13 htcsimunlockcode at gmail / HTCunlockingService and they sent me all the code info to do it but i get nothing that pops up to enter the code. It asks new sim then i select AT&T and that's it.... doesn't change a thing... still Sprint service not AT&T

You do not need to buy unlock code.
there is sim unlock method posted on xda which works great on 4.3 and below not sure about kitkat thou. but if your device is s-off you can always install 1.29 RUU and sim unlock your phone.
Have a similar problem to UNLOCK Sprint HTC ONE M7

Hello there.
1. I bought an BAD ESN SPRINT HTC ONE M7 to be used in Israel.
2. I ordered a simlunlock code (just like i did with a success for an T-MOBILE bad esn HTC ONE m7)
3. I hoped i will get a menu to enter the simlock code , but nothing there .... even with my new and local sim.
4. started to do a reseach, but i'm stuck. my phone proreties are :
Model number = HTC PN072
Android ver = 4.4.2
HTC Sence version = 6.0
Software version = 5.03.651.3
HTC SDK API level = 6.20
More = kernel ver = [email protected] #1 SMP PREEMPT
Baseband ver = 1.01.20.0515
Build # = 5.03.651 3 337390 release-keys
In BootLoader :
TAPMERED , UNLOCKED
M7_WLS PVT SHIP S-ON RH
HBOOT-1.57.000
RADIO-1.01.20.0515
OPENDSP-v32.120.274.8909
5. did managed to Unlock Bootloader , get root (SU) , and recovry util TWRP.
6. can a just flash a new rom (say ViperOne) and the sim unlock will be OPEN ????
7. some people told me - that a new rom wo'nt open the sprint phone to other-than-sprint SIMcards , so i tried ways to "unlock".
8. i tried the Sieempi, is generating for frre the config.dat , i boot the phone with OTG usb cable , didn't worked - got errors "failed ...."
9. i tried to S-OFF with firewater, also failed (since i have HBOOT 1.57 not 1.54)
ERROR: kernel contains HTC anti-firewater patch!
****** Try again with a different kernel ******
10. ANY IDEAS PLEASE ??
thanks

Hello BD619.
Thanks for your advise, I just want to make sure i understand it.
You advise me to falsh a http://sprint_one_stock_rooted_odex_4.06.651.4.zip/ ROM ,
Fisrt - will it OVERRIDE the sprint sim check ? meaning i could put inside the phone a GSM sim (not a sprint one)?
Second - I have HBOOT 1.57, S-on , rooted phone , etc (as i stated in first post), so now i only flash the 4.06 rom file ?
no need for firmware RUU ? (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2658910) ?
Better if you can direct me to a full guide for flashing that rom (when actually downgrading from 4.4.2)
Thnak you again for your time and efforts

I tried to get the S-OFF with firewater (with my current rom android 4.4.2 , not 4.0.1 as you advised)
I got error meaage from firewater
"ERROR: kernel contains HTC anti-firewater patch!
****** Try again with a different kernel ******
so will flashing the 4.0.1 rom will also change my kernel ? (i understand that the kernel is a linux code duffernrt from the rom - which is 'android' code)
so - to sum it up :
1. flash the 4.0.1 rom
2. run firewater to get s-off
3. ??? now will my phone become sim free /unlock ? i.e. supporting GSM sim cards not from the US ?
thanks again for your quick responds

Yes it will change the kernel.
1. Flash the rom I linked to.
2. Run firewater to s-off
3. search the General section for ways to sim-unlock.
Hi,
Would someone be able to link me which RUU I need?
Network is 02UK and the one I did last night (one of the EU ones) flashed fine but the radio must have been wrong as data doesn't work.
Thanks.
Flash a different radio.. see if it helps.
Which RUU exactly did u flash ?
I'm having a similar problem - ever since going on Android Revolution HD I've been having call quality problems, and I think it's caused by switching between networks.
I bought the phone unlocked in the UK. However when I try and flash the generic Europe RUU to go back to stock, I get an error.
Does anyone know how I find out which RUU I need?
With AR HD installed (12.2 I think),
Radio is 4A.14.3250.13
HBOOT - 1.44.0000
CID appears to be HTC_001

are you s-off already because if you are not take to change to s-off first since you are still on hboot 1.44 and will lose the possibilty to s-off if you update....

That's a very good point, I'm not. I'll get s-off before continuing.
The error said something about it being the 'wrong' RUU - I'll try to recreate it and report back.
I have searched to forums under HTC one and cant find the info I am looking for. I want to upgrade my phone to latest ATT firmware that is available(or latest recommended file to use). How do I go about the process. I updated my radio to 4A.17.3250.20 my software version is still 1.26.502.12 Am i supposed to flash the corresponding RUU, if so will this flash a new hboot. I am s-off revone and latest TWRP installed. ATT HTC One Black 64gb. Thanks.
If I take the OTA update from ATT for the latest firmware will this replace my currant hboot and custom recovery, I dont want to loose s-off. I am coming from sprint htc phones and am not sure if the update process for firmware updates is the same, on sprint I could just bootloader flash lates firmware file. Would this be the same process for ATT version htc phones.

If you already are s-off, you will remain s-off after upgrading to latest firmware.
sent from my One.
You should be fine as long as your MID/CID weren't changed. Then you would need to change it back to whatever it was originally. Just don't switch to S-On.. you may not be able to get S-Off again

Thanks for the info guys, i am s-off stock ROM that came with the phone when i got it. I did not mess with CID just yet. I did have to revert back to htc stock recovery, update did not start up with TWRP.
problem with update
Okay, I took the OTA from ATT witch was around 225mb, it had a boot loop after install. When phone booted up an error said that update had problem and did not update correctly and I should wait for another update. My software number did change from 1.26.502.12 to .15 My WiFi will not turn one and camera app comes up for a second and vanishes from screen. I tried scanning for new update, says phone updated. How should i proceed now. Thanks for any pointers.

Hey man! what do you think about do the supercid, then flash the right Ruu, and start with a clear phone?
all is good
I could not find an ATT RUU for my phone on XDA but did find one off another forum. Ran the RUU and I am now back to stock. I did not loose my unlocked boot-loader or s-off. This time ATT OTA update came through with no problems.
My phones version radio is 4a.17.3250.20_10.40.1150.04L and software version 1.26.502.15 are these the latest available for att

Latest from AT&T, yes, but any of the international updates will work on your phone. Plenty of AT&T guys are running the the 4.3 leak with no problems.

How would i take one of the intentional updates, do change my CID for the phone to access the update, I want to be able to get the radio/firmware update, and I am not sure if I flash one of the custom roms the firmware/radio is not part of the ROM. Thanks for the info given.

You're s-off, you can install anything. Just flash the latest firmware from the firmware thread, then whatever rom you want. If you wait for AT&T, you won't see 4.3 until 2014.
Hello, I have a HTC One.
I was trying to upgrade my radio after installing a new custom rom using twrp. I accidently tried to install the fastboot version of the baseband instead of the recovery flashable version with twrp. The install failed. When I rebooted my phone I was not picking up any cellular signal. In the settings under Baseband version it says “unknown”, also says “unknown” for my IMEI.
I have tried:
- installing the correct recovery flashable version with twrp.
- restoring to my backup that was made before making any changes.
- restoring back to a stock Rogers rom.
I am still not picking up any cellular signal. I also, tried to do a full firmware/radio flash using fastboot, but I received a “remote: 41 model id check fail” error.
I got the radio files from the follow link:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2485319
If anyone has any suggestions or know what else it can try it would be appreciated.
Device info:
- Rogers htc one that is carrier unlocked running Bell SIM
- Bootloader unlocked, Rooted, S-OFF
- TWRP version 2.6.3.3
- CID = ROGER001, HBOOT = 1.44.0000
- trying to install rom from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2531235
If you have S-OFF, you have probably saved your bum
Have you tried flashing a full RUU yet? You will need to find a RUU with a CID of ROGER001
It is also *possible* that you could change your CID to 1111111.
Let me see what I can find for you.
---------------------
Quick search didn't turn up anything for the ROGER001, have you ever changed CID? I would change it to the brightstar one and flash that...
---------------------
Here we go!
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2636103
Read the guide for flashing RUU's and you should be good to go!
Change your CID to BS_US001 and run the RUU listed here: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu_m7_ul_jb_50_brightstarus_wwe_1-29-1540-16-exe/
There is no RUU for Rogers/Bell/Telus.
Thanks
Thank you guys. Changing my CID and flashing with the brightstar RUU fixed my cellular signal issues. You guys are the best.
The RUU has made my phone close to stock. I am back to HTC sense software and I was able to do an OTA update. The only thing I still have is S-OFF. Also, upgraded my HBOOT to 1.56.
What I would like to know, is it possible to make my phone seem like the GPE version HTC One and get OTA updates from Google and have no HTC sense software. My dream is to be able to pick any hardware and run vanilla android, and receive the updates right away. Please let me know if there is a way.
Once again thanks for the help you guys saved a phone.
