Would this recovery work with the Z1, or is there another custom recovery working?

Thanks Destroyedbeauty for your help but I already fixed because I downloaded another Stock .253 from http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2240614. and it works. I choose .253 though. I dont know why those 3 ftf dont work for my xperia z. I use those to upgrade and root. Can I go to the latest .244 from .253?
I already on .244 I only needed to flash the stock kernel 700+mb file and finish rooting it. problem solved
hii friends...heres a challenging work foryou developers...
actually i installed the leaked sony 4.3 firmware for xperia sp...but it had a kernel which was unrooted and doesnt have cwm...now the biggest problem...flashmode and fastboot mode is also not working....so i cant flash original firmware...all i have to do is flash a new rooted kernel.elf which is rooted..is there anyone who have a idea to do this work??it will be a salute

Hi there people!
My name is Andreas from Germany and I just sold my Xperia S for a ZL. For the last few months I was stuck with combo of Nature Xperia Rom and Doom Kernel cause of incredible battery Life. Now Ive opened up my BL and wondered what ROM/Kernel Combo to choose for ZL since Ive found no real advice in the threads. Even If its worth trying KK Rom instead of 4.3 based?!?!
Any Advices?? Thank You!
Hey German Dude, I think this thread match better with the q&a forum
You have to find your own best Rom yourself, someone like stock because Bravia and remote, some like cm because the customisation options and always stay latest android. Since you have unlocked bootloader you can try every rom you can found here in zl section.
I'am a flashaholic, I flash new rom near every 5 days.
If you need help, don't be shy and ask

Hey German Dude,
Kai here
The best 4.4 ROMs in my eyes are carbon & Luiquidsmooth.
CM has regular updates, lineup Linaro mod CM is supposed to be extremely optimised on the hardware, maybe it's the best way to go.
I am waiting (and hoping) for Sailfish OS and currently using simple CyanogenMod 10.2 (android 4.3). It's really easy going. Fast, smooth, stable, statisfying

For stock experience try eXistenZ by niaboc79 with 78Kernel by Gustavo RD78. Very good battery life.
Doom Kernel didn't work properly for me.

Bro Adding to the same topic. I wanna use Kitkat ROM. Will be unlocking bootloader soon. Which is stable most and faster ROM CM or CM bases. and I have another question Xperia Camera features are great. so what would you guys suggest. i have been used to rooting and all that stuffs. so is it worth changing ROM from Stock to CM. only two things are stopping me IR and Camera . now that IR is working with some App on CM. Im really confused
Hi
i have xperia z c6602 with stock 4.4.4 rooted ROM (10.5.1.A.0.283)
now i've heard about dual recovery (PhilZTouch N CWM) and i'm seeing it strange idea because i see that just one recovery can do the job !
so, i just want to know what are the advantages/disadvantages of dual recovery
if it's safe and good to deal with only one recovery, which one to install
thanks in advance.
cheers...
The dual recovery is the only choice if you're on a locked bootloader. Just use the recovery you prefer and don't worry about there being another one installed as well.

okay, i have an unlocked bootloader and i just want to work with only one recovery
which one to deal with ?
I don't understand the problem. If you don't want to use the other recovery, then don't. It literally does not matter at all if there's another one installed. Just don't boot into the one you don't want to use. Simple.
Use this if you just want a stock kernel with recovery and no other modifications.

okay, if it really does not matter at all, for which reason it is present and installed on the device.
why the developper managed to deal with this idea ?
have any user woke up one day and he said "okay today i'm gonna work with the second recovery today ?!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
the recovery is used to just make backups and install some mods with just some few additional options
Some people prefer a different recovery to other people, so they have a choice. Why does it matter to you? Don't use the second recovery. The end.
Wow. Some people worry about the strangest things.

nothing was made with coincidence
every thing has a reason
the developper was managed to made a dual recovery just for a small reason that you don't know, because of that you said that i can just work with one of the recoveries and let the other one
in my opinion, i think that the reason of making dual recoveries is that some custom roms are not compatible with some recoveries (specially cwm)
so when we have dual recoveries, we can flash any custom rom using it's compatible recovery
that's the idea that i have
now as i'm on stock rom and i just need a recovery to do backups and wipes (maybe installing some mods later)
so i just need one single recovery
so which one is good, stable (like 4ext recovery on my old htc sensation)
Well, you obviously know better than everyone else here, so why don't you just try them out for yourself.
I'm done wasting my time. Bye!

good luck

I flashed many ROMs in this forum. All done with *dual* recovery. No problems at all. Except the ROM bugs.
The developer made it like that so you can choose any of the recoveries. They all will work for any thing.
2 better than 1! If you need more info ask @[NUT] he is the developer of the dual recovery...

Some people like TWRP, some like Philz CWM touch, almost no-one likes vanilla CWM. I don't think anyone likes cm-simple recovery. I just included the most popular 2 recoveries to cater for the majority of users' preferences.
Hi Guys,
As the Title suggests, I have a Xperia Z1 C6902 Variant. As Everybody knows, A year ago Sony AOSP recovery program started, I was pretty glad to hear it and loved to try it. But when I checked on EMMA (flashtool for Xperia Devices), It said No services available. I thought they will add it in a few days and kept checking. Finally, I got feed up with it and didn't care, becoz the stock Kernel in-built recovery was working fine. But now, As many in-built recoveries were removed, This has become as necessary. Can anyone confirm that they have a AOSP on-boot recovery in their C6902 variant of Xperia Z1, if so can you guide me through on how u got it? That would be great.
Thanks in Advance.
