I tried SuperOneClick (2.3.4) without succes. How do you root yours?
Kind regards, Lasse
Ok well to root you'll need to either unlock the bootloader or passimg back to frg33. If you passimg back then you can root with superoneclick if you unlock the bootloader then ask me and I will give you some instructions on how to do it.
1. Unlock the bootloader.
2. Flash custom recovery.
3. Flash su or a rooted rom.
If you can't or don't want to do this sell your phone. You should not have a dev/GED period.
not working on 2.3.4. why not flashing a rooted rom? not difficult.

Well it's cause if you want to flash a rooted ROM you'll need to have root access and if he had root access he would not need superoneclick.
1 What is unrooted?
2 What is flash to stock rom?
3 when/why we need to unroot?
4 Does unroot mean, our ROM will revert to original?
5 can it be done with rooted device?
the more I'm thinking, the more I get confused

Here is something about root
www.ihelplounge.com/ihelplounge/201...aving-full-control-of-your-mobile-device.html
2.Flash to stock rom is to return your rom to the manafacturer's rom when you purchased the device. It can be done via odin.

1. Unrooted rom means that 3rd Party Apps cannot make changes to System.
2.Flashing to stock Rom means reverting to your phone's original rom.
3. If you think that your phone is more vulnerable (There is nothing like that) .
4.Only Stock ROMS revert to original after unrooting , on other roms ... its a waste
5.Unrooting is done only when your device is rooted..

1. unroot mean, your device is not rooted. and you do not have privilege to write system file/folder
2. It means like re-install your device, you can do it with ODIN Multi Downloader (this is from Galaxy W forum and we use tass.ops
3. when or why? ya we need it sometimes, because root mean you void warranty of you phone, sometime your phone maybe broke. so you need unroot before you bring it to service center
4. No, it just remove the SuperUser and you still have your ROM. and it will make the ROM work not like it should be. it's better to flash into stock firmware of you want unroot your device
5. hemmm... unroot mean the condition of your device. or you mean Unrooting the rooted device? ya you can, read this

Hi guys,
Recently updated my S4 Active to 4.4.2. I was previously on 4.2.2, with CWM Rec and rooted.
After updating to 4.4.2 official version from sammobile.com I can no longer root my device using the previous method of flashing CWM Recovery via Odin3.09, then rebooting into CWM Rec and installing SuperSU1.80.zip.
I am curious if there is another method of rooting 4.4.2 official or do I have to wait?
Thanks
EDIT: Rooted now via towelroot.
Try towel root. Get it at towelroot.com, consider donating for the developer. Its super easy, just run the apk and install su from play store.

Hey all. I had my phone rooted for a long time and I have safe strap. Haven't been here in a while and would like to upgrade to 4.4. Now my stock slot is on android 4.0, baseband N900AUCUBNB4. When I try to update it says my software is up to date or says downloading then hangs. How do I return to full stock to update? Thanks.

That thread says there is no need to remove root. If I want to use the ota updates do I have to remove root or will the otas still work? Thanks
Using the odin file/files will install the latest stock nc2 Rom and remove root at the same time. If you then want root use towelroot.
