Hi, need input on htc touch diamond?

So, I have learned to play with my google phones and my galaxy tab... but my babysitter just asked if I could do anything with his phone. It is a htc touch diamond, running windows 6.1.
This is not my phone, but I don't mind helping him out if it is relatively easy and safe, much like my above experiments?
What all is possible on this device? Can it be ugraded to a custom rom running windows latest?
Any threads, roms you could link to would be greatly appreciated... and "thanked".
If it was my phone, I would do all the homework... but I am just looking for some quick answers like, do this, dont do this
not worth it, or maybe it truly can make this a new/great device? again, any input appreciated!

[Q] sense rom for streak 7

i love sense but i love my streak7 too anyone working on like a desire based rom or something i dont know much about this stuff

As far as i know there is only one guy that has been working on the roms for the DS7 and that's DJ_Steve. You may want to ask him directly buy I doubt it since he's been working on the HoneyStreak rom.

Guys, i was just wondering if anyone could find features of one plus one like the launcher and stuff and port it for us!
Also, on another note if cm11 is stable enough to use as a daily driver or not.. :/

i love Oneplus One! I am going to buy it nearly. But i really want a porting of this software please :silly:

I can answer only to the second question: no cm11 needs a correction inside the kernel that we're waiting for months
As a daily driver I suggest Omnirom :good:

CM11 user thread

I'm managing my wife's phone for her (and often looking at it longingly). I was an HTC Evo 3d user before it took a dump a few months ago and at that point I went over to the dark side (Samsung). Happy to be staying in the HTC loop vicariously through my wife's phone.
She's s-off and on a sense rom right now but I'd like to get her on cm11. Unfortunately, texts do not work for her using the official release. Anyone else on cm11? Anyone else experiencing this issue w/cm11?
Either way, I figured it would be useful to have a thread to discuss cm for the m8.

Hmmm. I haven't seen any bugs with texts. I'm on stock right now so I couldn't tell you for sure. Does she have any data at all? Can she make calls?

SMS is working for me on the latest nightly. CM runs so well on this phone!

Does anyone else use cm for this phone? Also, why is there so little "original development" for the m8? Isn't this where the aosp Roms would be? Am I missing something?
I put the latest stable release of cm on my wife's phone. Very jealous☺

Check the regular HTC M8 forums. Many of the AOSP roms are available for all variants.

I'm new here and I was wondering what are your experience with this phone.
I'm curentlly using gpe stock because i love stock but it sucks at battery life.
What are you using right now guys?
What kernel/ROMs do you recommend?
Any mods or tips? Also i'm using dragon fi but crackels a lot the speakers.
I heard about swap (increasing ram) any tutorial there? Also anything else experience you have with this phone post here.
