I was on stock 4.1.2. I flashed stock recovery, updated, then flashed TWRP. However, somehow I got my backup put back on, and my phone was running the 4.3 firmware and 4.1.2 ROM. I tried running an RUU. My phone won't work since the touchscreen won't work. ADB also cannot recognize my phone. Please help, I'm stuck.
{UPDATE} Was able to boot into TWRP. However, still unable to get the 4.3 ROM onto my SD.
Just fastboot flash tp firmware from 129

I cannot do the touch panel as I am S-ON. On TWRP's page, it says enter "adb sideload /path/to/rom.zip", do I leave it as /path, or is that the location of the rom? Can I open a command prompt from the folder the ROM zip is in and skip the /path?
[UPDATE]: I have gotten ADB to recognize my phone, but only in recovery. Nothing worked yet.
U can revone s-off now

I am pretty new to ROOTing android phone. I wanted to upgrade my HTC incredible S to Jelly bean. I was successfully able to UNLOCK the phone. But in recovery menu, i have installed/flashed the Jelly bean (PACman-v19.3-VIVO-BLINDNDUMB.zip) OS before installing Superuser. Now the mobile is booting only in recovery mode everytime. Please help me on this. Is my phone gone for good?
I guess that you are probably s-on. Do the following steps. Format all partitions except the sd card using the recovery. I hope you installed a custom recovery like Cwm or 4ext after unlocking your bootloader. If you have, then flash the ROM again. Then reboot your phone into the bootloader and fastboot flash the boot.img.

once done. boot into recovery and flash desired rom.

Hi ! I was trying to install a custom ROM to my phone. When i flashed the file and restarted it got caught in a boot loop.
I manage to get to the boot loader, but if i try to reboot, or anything else, it's back to the boot loop.
Anyone that can help me with this ?
I suppose what I did wrong was that when I was flashing the custom ROM, i typed "fastboot flash boot boot.img" and I guess that changes something with the boot function. I'm really new to this, and the reason I did that is because it's something I saw on another webpage, I don't even know what I was thinking. But I really need help here.

Yes, I got adb and fastboot installed, Not sure if the drivers were installed properly, but I would suppose so considering the installation of twrp and unlocking of bootloader was successfull. But do you got a link to some updated driver in case ?
I flashed the rom on twrp yes, and the twrp version is 2.6.3.4
But considering what i did was typing "fastboot flash boot rom.img" I suppose I somehow changed the boot ? Or is that what you're trying to help me fix ?
I'm really new to this, and don't understand every little thing.
You got htc drivers installed on pc....
You have put rom in to fastboot folder when u renamed it was it in lower case keys..........

When i boot up the phone, it says the process system has not running wait or ok, when i push ok or wait. after about 40 seconds the phone just freezes up.
Hello all. I'm having a strange problem. I have a T-Mobile D959. I've flashed back to stock JB and rooted and installed CWM/TWRP about ten times before and I never had this problem. Here's the deal:
I flashed back to Jellybean with the kdz. (I was on Dfuse's Stock Rooted KK) After I flashed back and did a factory reset I then used ioroot25 to root. That went as expected. I then downloaded the Freedom Flex app to install TWRP/CWM. When I flash either Recovery it looks like it's working. Superuser comes up and I hit allow. When I choose reboot into recovery or manually try I get to the fastboot menu and I basically have no recovery. I've tried flashing the Jellybean kdz again as well as the KitKat kdz then went back and flashed the Jellybean kdz again. For some reason neither recovery will install. I am definitely rooted as root checker and Root Explorer confirm that. When I flash either kdz to go back to stock it does indeed install the stock recovery again. Does anyone have any idea why this could be happening? Thanks for your help.
Not sure but does the kdz. Reflash the aboot

I'm pretty sure it does as I lost recovery completely when I first got the phone when I tried flashing TWRP and flashing the kdz fixed that.
