If you use 7zip to look into the rom file you will see a boot.img and also a folder with other boot img's .
Extract these and I would suggest use the lowest speed boot.img first .
Put the boot.img into your Android folder .(You would have made this when you unlocked your bootloader .
Connect your phone to the pc via usb and boot it into bootloader mode .
Press shift and Right click on Android Folder and select "open cmd window here"
Then type this sequence .
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot reboot .
All should be fixed now .
If all is ok and you are happy , you can then try flashing a higher oc .
Remove the boot.img in the Android folder and replace it with the boot.img of the oc you want to try .
Be aware that every phone is different and whilst some can take the big 828oc others cannot .
hope this helps

Hi friends , i really need some help here
my device have no system/kernel now .. i've been trying to flash a kernel via fastboot but it always tells ( failed - remote : command not allowed )
as for flashtool .. whenever i try to boot into download mode the led turns red then green in a second then disconnects it self by only booting to sony logo .. even tried to charge thinking it's only a charging problem .. but it won't even show the charging animation , do you know how to fastboot flash kernel successfully , ps : am not a noob , just haven't done this for a long time studying high-school .. means you can ask me anything about the process . am on LB BTW
really need your much awaited halp !
and what is it required to fastboot or flashtool ? could be a wrong drivers issue ? , i alredy tried two drivers !
more about the problem .. i was flashing eXistenz 5 black and its superuser fix , which was done successfully then i had to flash a kernel via flashtool which didn't go well , i thought it's because i forgot to check usb-debbuging of dev-option so i had ( deleted data / cache to flash a new rom , tells the cwm recovery ) to flash the eXistenz 4 back , which had formated the whole system/data/cache and everything .. and ever since it won't fastboot or flashtools or even recover into recovery as the kernel should be deleted ! i think the device is gone heart-attack as dead !
Edit : flashtool needs usb-debbuging on which in my case is not
am left with fastboot to flash a kernel and have a recovery , would someone please at least try to help ! ?
Okey now so here's my problem, I have a Zenfone 4 that is bricked . I have a way to solve it but the main problem is in droidboot mode(fastboot mode) I cannot find recovery . How am I suppose to flash official firmware using adb ? Adb sideload can only be enter from recovery mode . Pls help me .
Okay...
So i bricked my device n so to unbrick am flashing stock image through nexus root toolkit but my phone doesn't enter into fast boot mode no matter wat buttons i press it just stays on google logo...

Have you tried it from your PC?
fastboot reboot-bootloader
How can you run fastboot commands if your not in fastbbot-bootloader?
"my phone doesn't enter into fast boot mode"
(General message - see what I did there? No need to repeat the entire post. Just the part I'm responding to.)
Does this mean that you can't get to bootloader? Is your bootloader unlocked? When you reboot do you see the open padlock symbol?
So what did you do to brick your device?

With USB connected, from a cmd prompt I do:
adb devices (to load the drivers and make sure my phone is recognized)
adb reboot bootloader (this should put you in bootloader mode)
fastboot devices (just to be sure my phone is still recognized)
fastboot flash radio radio.img (or whatever image you want to flash)
fastboot reboot-bootloader (in between flashes, just to be safe)
I do so hate it when people don't bother to read my posts properly. It takes away my incentive to try to help them...
"No need to repeat the entire post. Just the part I'm responding to."
"So what did you do to brick your device?" Install the custom ROM you mention?
And a new question. You say "no matter wat buttons i press". Does that include the bootloader power & volume down simultaneous press for maybe 30 seconds?
So there are 3 items in this post. Can I have 3 responses please? The first will be not copying this entire post all over again, the other two will be answers to my questions.

Do you have a working recovery you can access?
And stay away from toolkits. Learn to flash manually. It's easy and you know what part goes wrong. Tool kits are nice in automation, but when something happens ya don't have a decent idea where to start.

Hey i got it myself...
I used a update.zip from hp which is an revised version... and it solved the problem
Previously i tried the update.zip of 560mb but now there is a new one avialable which is 600mb this will solve the problem....
Use this update.zip with adb sideload or with a sd card...
This will solve the problem
The link to new update.zip is here... select android as os and kitkat as version
