I had originally install TWRP on my HTC one and then i installed the stable release of cyanogenmod and it all worked great except for the fact that i had no service anymore. So i decied would try to go back to stock HTC sence but I think I wiped my internal storage. I can boot into TWRP and fastboot but My phone just keeps loading the cyanogenmod logo then restarting and repeating. I was trying to follow the qbking unbrick your htc one tutorial it but in the program it asks me to go from image version 1.31.651.2 to image version 1.12.651.10 and the video says they should be the same. how can i just get my phone back to factory settings?
All you need to do is sideload a Rom hopefully you know how to use adb if not Google how to sideload a Rom.

Are old nandroids there (backups)...if not...
Sounds like you did a format all - Easy to do on TWRP. Unable to mount those Directories because that Aren't there.
Push has no location....try adb push /sdcard ???
if not. you can ruu...it just sucks to start over...

I made a dumb decision and instead of backing up my phone i just decided i would not mess it up. boy did i learn my lesson.
when i type adb push ROM.zip /sdcard/ it takes a bit but it pushes the file to /sdcard. I can then see the rom on my phone but when i try to install it I get
E:Unable to mount '/data/ '
E:Unable to mount '/data/ '
Error flashing zip ' /sdcard/ROM.zip'
updating partition details
E:Unable to mount '/data/ '
E:Unable to mount internal storage
also even after i push it over the bar at the top of twrp says Storage: Internal Storage (0 MB) does that mean its not getting pushed over even though i can see it on the phone?

Hey guys n gals i am trying to adb push a rom to my phone (since i screwed it up earlier today) so i can flash it. All goes well up until the point of flashing. when i try to flash it says E:Unable to mount '/data'
E:Unable to mount internal storage.
any ideas on how i can fix this issue?
In your recovery there should be a mounts and storage option or something similar, in there find Internal Storage and mount it, I think this should work since I would get that error but for system and mounting system would fix it.

Close the terminal window, unplug your phone, and try again with a new terminal window. If that doesn't work restart your computer and start over.

Hi there,
Just wanted to install a custom recovery image for the first time on this device and make a nandroid backup. Well, not everything went as expected
here's what I've done:
-unlocked the bootloader via htcdev.com [worked]
-fastboot erase cache [worked]
-installed TWRP [worked]
in TWRP I wanted to create a Backup and selected everything. However it gave me an error message that /cache couldn't be mounted (or something like that, can't remember exactly, but read on). So I tried it with CWM (again, first I erased cache with fastboot, then installed CWM) Well, these are the messages I get when I try to make a backup:
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
then it backs up boot img, recovery, system and data, which works flawlessly. Then, the error messages continue:
No /sdcard/.android_secure found. Skipping backup of applications on external storage. [seems logical, as I don't have an external sdcard]
Backing up cache...
Can't mount /cache!
Is it possible that it can't mount /cache as I erased it via fastboot? Or what could've caused the issue, and how do I resolve it? Thanks in advance.
Doesn't matter, just ignore it
EDIT: To expand on the above, if you've not booted the phone up since flashing the recovery there is no cache to backup
Didn't think the soultion was that simple haha, but thanks

For reference, this bit:
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/command
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/log
E: Can't mount /cache/recovery/last_log
E: Can't open /cache/recovery/last_log
Seems to be present in both CWM or TWRP (never used TWRP personally). It's never affected the backups I've made in the past
By accident I deleted all OS data, so I'm only able to see the bootloader. I have CWM and TWRP recovery images to flash. Now I have the TWRP and when loading the recovery mode it says:
E:Mount: Unable to find partition for path '/sd .. (can't see more)
E:UnMount: Unable to find partition for path '/.. (can't see more)
Updating partitioon details...
E:Unable to mount '/cache'
E:Unable to mount '/cache'
E:TWFunc::Copy_Log - Can't open destination lo.. (can´t see more)
E:Unable to mount '/cache'
And I also have the problems when trying to mount '/data', so I can't install any ROM. And actually I don't know what to do, is there another way to do that?
Could it be that the partition of the data is not in the right format?
Please help

From what I've seen Kingo is malware.
Edit:
I forgot to mention. I don't believe it actually roots the device. There are 2 other confirmed methods of rooting but safestrap still has some issues with some of the note 3's currently. I believe mine can't do it because of some sort of encryption thus when it's installed it will reboot randomly.

You are joking right?
Just two months ago XDA approved Kingo as a valid form of root.
It works as I have used it myself on MJ5.
The reason for the hype at first was because it was so easy and they refused to share their methods or source code. The other groups where butt hurt because their methods where harder and required more work from the phone owner.
So they started spreading rumors about Kingo malware and that they would still your IEMI and send it overseas and a bunch of other crap. If you read their terms of use it specifically states they remove nor send no data from your phone or PC. That being said if they did do such a thing it would leaver them open to a massive law suit.
Well if it's true or not I can neither confirm nor deny. But I just steered clear and used a different method. But safestrap still has some issues with the note 3 as im aware not sure on the backup though when I used the backup it did give me a few errors.

Well Ironically enough I rebooted last night a handful of times trying to get the unlocked padlock and custom to go away and failed, so today I said duck it and rerooted, instead of moving the safestrapv3.71.apk to the ad card before installing I left it on my main storage and behold I can now use it correctly. sadly though I still have some issues with it when trying to install the rom but everything else is clear. here's what I get when I tried to install.

that is after I installed win zip thinking it might be an issue with opening the .zip and wiping the cache and dalvik before trying to install. anyone got any ideas? Also my battery was at 67% I saw some where people saying do it with 70-100% not sure if that was the problem or not.

You are aware that Kingo is for and only works properly for a stock ROM. That means no safestrap before using it. You should root first then safestrap. You have written like you did the safe strap first and then Kingo.
Yeah I worded it wrong, I know your suppose to root first and I did. actually solved my own issue. I had the zip verification checked, unchecked it and it installed without a problem. now my only question is on the status bar on the right corner there is a locked padlock any idea what that is for?
I have Kingo and Safestrap running. ZERO issues
Are u using a sd micro card? I have same problem at first cause my sd card slot doesn't work at all. Can't fix it

My first post so take it with a grain of salt
So i have very little experience compared to most people here. But i ran into a very similar problem and i found that it was because i had been wiping and deleting some of the rom slots (1-4 not stock). The partitions ended up on the SD card and when safestrap tried to flash there it couldnt find them. I found that if i wiped every slot completely with my sd card out, and then restored my original backup to the stock slot with my sd card it in got everything squared away and i could start flashing roms again.
Dont know if that helps but it saved me from having to factory reset or mess with trying to reflash m19

Were you able to restore backup to root slot? I created backup yesterday when I rooted and was able to restore it once, but then it wouldn't allow me to restore, backup, or even wipe stock slot (it won't mount). It even wouldn't allow me to create another slot for a while. I eventually was able to create a slot again, and now I am stuck using slot 1 to run anything, since I cannot touch stock slot, which still won't mount. I really want to be able to install to stock slot, since slot 1 is very buggy for wifi. Thoughts?
