Windows 8 USB and Fastboot drivers - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Hi,
After trying multiple things i have had to post a new thread.
I cannot get the fastboot drivers working.....I have just got a new alienware laptop with windows 8 x64....i do have a desktop with Windows 8 x64 and the drivers installed fine on that system, but when it comes to this new laptop there are no dice.
I have tried:

I only have USB 3 ports, i have installed: HTC Driver 4.1.0.001.exe, this made the phone work fine connected when it is on to the USB.
But as soon as i go to bootloader or fastboot nothing displays, and the phone is not detected in the system manager.
Please can someone help me.
Thanks

[Q] Stuck on AT&T screen and ODIN can't detect phone

So I was messing about with Cyanogen Gingerbread, didn't like it and tried to restore a Froyo backup. The backup failed (kernals don't match right?) and now I cannot get past the AT&T screen on a normal power up or when trying to enter recovery. I tried to go back to stock using ODIN, but no com port is opened when I enter download mode and the phone is showing up as an unknown device in device manager. I have installed the x64 USB drivers, but I still cannot get ODIN to recognize the phone. Any suggestions?
When you say you are using x64 drivers, I'm assuming you are running either Vista or Windows 7 64-bit. I have heard there have been issues with 64 bit Windows drivers and getting the computer to recognize your phone properly.
I would recommend uninstalling the drivers, re-download a fresh set of drivers from Samsung and try again. Also, did you try to reboot your computer and attempt to get it to recognize your phone? Try different USB ports also. If it is possible, try a different USB cable. Finally, if you have a 32-bit OS handy, I'd try that.
Hope this helps and good luck!!
i run windows 7 64 and have no problems at all. make sure to uninstall samsung keis.
and reinstall the samsung drivers alone.

[Q] Fastboot Problem.

Hi there. I'm using Xperia SP for like 1 month now and I tried to unlock my bootloader. I'm using the Sony guide to unlock it (unfortunately I can't post a link (less then 10 posts :crying) . Anyway I've got one little problem while i'm trying to launch my Xperia in Fastboot mode.
The LED turns Blue for couple seconds, then it shuts down and the charging begins, like it's launching in fastboot mode and then turning off. I have Sony drivers installed from Sony PC Companion. I'm using Windows 8 x64. The system isn't asking for any drivers while i'm connecting the device to PC. Help me
Windows 8 x64 is a bad system for Flashtool to work with. I would suggest Windows XP....either through a VM or through dual-boot.
But if you have to use Windows 8 without a choice, please disable driver signature verification before you start Windows 8, so that you can install the driver successfully.
You wouldn't care where I sent this message from.
i have the same problem and i have windows 7 starter x86. all drivers installed. im wondering if my phone has fastboot mode or not.
Well everything works as I tried to do the same thing on VM with Windows XP. There was the same thing happening (the blue LED disappears) but after system asked me for drivers. After I installed them the device started to work as it should and I manage to unlock the bootloader . That surely was driver problem so if you manage to install them on your system I'm sure it'll work. Thanks for help

What is your bootloader (hboot) version?
What is your computer OS version?
What are your drivers version?
What adb version are you using?
Make sure you have everything up to date and you should be able to have fastboot connectivity when booted in bootloader / fastboot usb mode. If you have hboot 1.44, you will need Windows 7, Linux or MacOS to use fastboot since its not working correctly with Windows 8/10 (not a problem with newer hboot versions).
Also make sure you are using the original usb cable and not only a usb power cable (without data connectivity). Only use usb 2.0 ports directly on your computer (no external hub). Make sure HTC Sync is NOT installed on your computer.

Phone in download mode not recognized by PC

Hey guys, so here's my problem:
When I put my phone (TA-1052) in download/fastboot mode to unlock the bootloader, it is not recognized by my Windows 10 PC (64-bit) or Win 10 laptop (32-bit).
I've tried out different drivers and adb works fine. But as soon as I get into download mode and ask fastboot for a device list, it's gone!
The odd thing is that it doesn't show up in the device manager anymore. Windows also doesn't give the USB-connect sound when I plug in the cable.
Please help me out!
(I'm running Android Pie with the April 1st security update and I'm using the latest platform tools by Google)
