[Q] Sprint HTC One AIO Toolkit - Sprint HTC One (M7)

I was browsing the forum and i notice there was a tool linked on the "[Roll up] Important threads for: Sprint HTC One" thread but when i went to download the tool it had been removed by the mods.
Why was the link to Sprint HTC One AIO Toolkit removed? It doesnt work? Its still working but outside the forum?

If you read the last post in the AIO toolkit thread you will see an explanation before "Thread Closed". Well sorta, they basically say its gone with no real explanation of why. I guess it an inside secret for whatever reason.

AIO tool kit
There are several of these tool kits on this forum. I personally have used the Hasoon's 2000 HTC All In one with good results. Another AIO I have tried is one by Squabbi HTC One toolkit, didn't have much success with it.

[Q] Rooting an AT&T HTC Vivid

Hi, forgive me if this thread is in the wrong place, or if it's been answered elsewhere, i've looked around and couldn't seem to find and answer. Anyway, I have an HTC Vivid for AT&T, and I'm new to Androids in general, I've read that for AT&T there's only a temporary root (When you reboot your phone it's un-rooted). Is this still true? I've read through a few guides, and looked at Hasoon200's HTC all in one toolkit, but it doesn't specify if it would work for the AT&T Vivid or not. I'm sure there's an obvious answer and I'm just overlooking something, but I just wanted to make sure that it would work before I attempted to root my phone for the first time and mess it up. If there IS a permanent root, would someone be kind enough to link me to a guide?
Thanks in advance

If you go to htcdev.com and unlock your bootloader you are able to load a custom rom on your phone and it will be perma rooted. You can reboot a thousand times and still be rooted.

You need to do more reading and searching. There is a superguide in the development section.

[Q]Wanting help on HTC Vivid root/Stuck on boot screen - 6 hours deep

Alright, I have tried following 3 different guides for rooting my Vivid. Two of the three were missing atleast one download link so I didn't have everything the guide needed. From what I can tell using Hasoon2000's All-In-One Toolkit, I have unlocked my phone and I am stuck in hboot. I have tried flashing icb and gb multiple times, and tried using the stock ROM and Hollicakes, none of which have worked. I have searched Google, Youtube, and this site, which I have found 2 similar threads, one had no replies, and the other had already gotten a flashed ROM to work. This is my second phone I have rooted, but the first I have had problems with, I am still trying to learn and would greatly appreciate help.
you might want to start over relock your bootloader and then run the ruu go to wildchilds site here http://www.wcxxperia-nce.com/index.php you have to register to see the vivid section and you cant download anything till you have at least 10 post do them in the lounge dont spam to get them are you will be banned in the att rom thread in the op there are videos that will show you what you need to do
Alright I appreciate it, which RUU should I download?

Htc Wont bring up recovery mode

Okay i have waited about 2 weeks and scoured the ends of the internet, and maybe i missed something along my search if i did please let me know what post i missed. i would really love to figure this out. So i wanted to root my Cricket paygo desire c, i am not new to rooting (new to rooting htc though) i have rooted about every android device i have ever owned. i had downloaded HTC Desire C All-In-One Toolkit V2.0 [1-1-2013] [PERM ROOT]
if you havent already pls read the directions on this post
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2004198&highlight=all+in+one
Unlocked the boot-loader got all the way through clicked on install CWM it said it had done it. i clicked on the button to push SU through to the phone. went to go to the recovery screen to install su and red lettering appeared. i let it sit like that for about 2 hours trying to be hopeful about it going into recovery. i am too new to post in the all in one toolkit forum and every time i try to message the author it says there was an error. my phone still goes into boot-loader and still boots up just fine but i don't have full root access. so any help would be appreciated. greatly.
no shame self

I can't remember the last time i saw the dev of that tool on this forum .
Personally i would ditch the tool and do it all manually .
Follow the directions here how to
I do know CWM has been updated Post 42 but I personally prefer to use TWRP TWRP especially since it has official backing by the TWRP team (thanks to Nikhil for both updated cwm and all the twrp work )
All I can say is follow the guide above and see how it goes for you .
Post back if you bump into any other issues and if I can't help I'll email one of the knowledgeable guys to come look at the thread
(there is an issue with usb ports. some find using the rear usb works better and most find usb2 works and usb3 doesn't , just as a heads up )
all the best rich
isn't cricket cdma?
not sure... as far as i know the toolkit doesn't work with cdma anyway
Yes i believe it is CDMA.
this is strange as i have a cdma desire c and mine rooted fine :L all customs roms have installed no hitch
it might be becasue i have a old gsm sim card? i dunno :L
I have the exact same problem ended up bricking my one desire trying to figure it out now im not even bothering trying to do anything with my new desire great thing is I can still go to my bootloader for the bricked cdma but thats it I need to find a way to take my image from my new phone and flash it with adb to bring that phone back alive

i have ran across and tried this method too i run the . bat and it opens up recovery mode and sticks on the white htc screen with red lettering again.. i am starting to feel that this phone isnt even worth the brain power lol.
It IS because the cricket phone is cdma, I did the exact same thing and am just as frustrated because I have also rooted and moved every android I've owned, this issue just never crossed my mind. What we need is custom recovery for the cdma version. If you come across it please post it here, I'll do the same. Thanks

You have the stock cdma desire c? Please post the stock recovery. I'm not sure the exact process I'll find out and post back here.

[Video Guide] How To Unlock Bootloader & Root - USER FRIENDLY

Hey folks, i know that for some, unlocking bootloaders and rooting for the first time can be a bit overwhelming, so i put together a video, walking you through step by step. I hope this helps at least 1 of you
The toolkit in this video guide was developed by hasson2000, so big props and thanks go out to him! You can find his toolkit here
To the moderators. hasson2000 has asked that folks request his permission to use his work in posts ect.. So i did ask, but he never responded... So since this is doing no harm and only helping people, i assume you won't mind this posted here If you do want to take it down, i won't fight you on it.
If you folks have any questions, i strongly recommend you go to hasson2000s toolkit thread, linked above, and ask there.
Cheers

I'm still stuck on waiting for device.
I was going in that Tool thread but I'm not allowed to post there yet.

Nice. Thanks much!!
Thank you so much for the vid, I used it to unlock my bootloader and also installed TWRP... It worked a treat
My issue is that I want to flash the 1.29 OTA onto my EE-branded 4G HTC One. I've downloaded this version: OTA_M7_UL_JB_50_HTC_Europe_1.29.401.12-1.28.401.7_release_315849_signedp7vl8dqsvls0h1t0.z ip from this thread: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2207874. I have attempted to Flash my own recovery, but am unsure as to which .img file to use and also which option in the bootloader to select. I've searched all throughout these forums, but to no avail
If anyone can help, it would be much appreciated.
Many thanks
any one have any alternative link to the all in one toolkit by hasoon looks like the link is broken?

Thanks, this worked like a charm!
This is my first Android phone and reading all of this did seem scary, but watching the video and doing it myself.. pretty easy!
So, there is no way to root this device without unlocking it first? I've also read that after you unlock, you loose some apps & obviously OTA updates......4.2.2 is rumored to be out for this device any time now. Is there anyway to preserve those apps, possibly update phone (even manually) or just root without unlocking?

you won't loose any apps if you unlock, you will lose all of your files though... and you can still receive OTAs is you are unlocked, you just need to have the stock rom and a stock recovery...
Success (relatively painless)
I'd like to add my success story as a hopeful note for other noobs who are sweating it.
I'm a complete noob with recovery and rooting. Luckily I had the distinct advantage of skipping the whole bootloader unlocking sequence, thanks to having the Developer Edition whose bootloader comes unlocked. (I wasn't sure if I should use Hasoon2000's T-Mobile kit, since I'm using a T-mo SIM, or if I should use his generic HTC One M7 kit, so I chose the latter and luckily it was a good choice.)
I studied this video tutorial by TheSmokingAndroid, took notes, watched it again, said a little prayer to the green guy in the sky, watched some more tutorials, read some tutorials, read 50 pages of xda forums, panicked, de-panicked, steeled myself, then watched the video again. Then I dove in.
While not every step had the exact results that TheSmokingAndroid depicted in his video (combination of user error by me and the HTC One apparently being somewhat finicky), while not every step was an exact match, a little persistence and staying calm resulted in full root in about 1/2 an hour once I actually got started, and no major calamities.
So thanks TheSmokingAndroid and thanks Hasoon2000!
(If you're a noob, consider making a small donation like I did to keep these guys going.)
Happy rooting.

I receive tons of PMs and can forget who I responded to, since I am on my phone majority of the time. Anyone is allowed to make a video using my toolkit. I just do not permit people to repost my work on another site. All official toolkit threads will be on XDA and all the toolkits will be uploaded to ONLY my Dev-Host account. I do not authorize mirrors of my toolkits (since anyone can just repack it with a virus and blame me for it). However, my apologies if I did not get back to you. I usually wake up with 10 - 15 PMs, plus more throughout the day!

HTC One (China model) htc 802w
Getting into the China model of HTC One (htc 802w) bootloader and recovery.
It should work for any model as well.
factory reset
Hi, I recently unlocked my bootloader and rooted my HTC One and flashed the cyanogen rom. However, I want to now go back to the original software that came with my phone, but I did not backup my phone on twrp recovery. I do not care about my user data, I just want to go back to HTC Sense. Could anyone help me go back to the factory default os reset? Also my phone is from T-mobile if that helps.
I'd personally like to know how to pull the stock recovery image from my device for later use, rather than using someone else's. I've already searched but I'm directed to the stock recovery image already posted here. Isn't there a way to make the image flashable rather than pushing it through with ADB?
