Hey guys,
It seems that the screen backlight and the buttons backlight (return and menu buttons) run separately and dont have to be on at the same time.
Would it not be possible to make an app that utilizes the button backlight as notification? Just like the nokia 5800 which blinks/breathes as notification.

I just upgraded from overcome to the June 6th cm9 nightly. It worked very well including titanium restore of missing apps and their data.
What I can't figure out is how to get movie playback to use the entire screen including the space usually occupied by the onscreen buttons. Using mx player but if you can recommend an alternative player that is fine too. Thanks.

Can't remember if the option is there with the plain cm9 but using sgt7 versions I have an option to allow the combined bar to hide during full screen playback. Settings, system, combined bar.

You can add "navigation bar toggle" to power menu, and use power button when you need to go full screen. (I did this with AOKP #37.)
That is aokp ROM Control added by Stimpz0r.

In PowerAmp go to settings > Lockscreen
Is there a possibility of disabling the feature of lowering the volume of a RINGER for incoming calls using volume control button?
On a Samsung S3 mini.
It is relatively easy in a noisy/distracting environment to accidentally press volume control button. This could lower the ringer volume for all incoming calls. I have already missed a couple... Important ones.
I don't think there is such option.
I think i can make you an app which can disable volume buttons. In that case you will need to adjust the volume manually in settings

Update: Its not possible to make the service.
I was able to disable them in app but when user is outside of the app they are enabled again.
I can't make a background service since it doesn't support hardware keys because it doesn't have any UI.
I will try to experiment with a widget, but can't promise anything.

Where Can I find the Settings for the Lamps of the Back - Home - Option button ? To change the Bright Duration or switch them off ?

I think there are no settings from CM itself but various other options like apps or customisation through build.prop or other system files.
Just search for button backlight on XDA

Update to a recent nightly. It has these settings built in.
