What is the best ROM so far for Atrix HD. - Motorola Atrix HD

What is the best ROM so far for Atrix HD..

This should be in Atrix HD Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting section.
Well, that's induvidual thing but I like Carbon rom because it's lightweight, fast and best battery life what I've seen on Atrix.

Try them yourself. Everyone has a preference. And this question is in the wrong place completely. This isn't even allowed.
Sent from my PACMAN MATRIX HD MAXX

Bring on the Ban Hammer!!! Seriously though, Atrix HD Q&A and Troubleshooting next time. Plus, this question has come up like 1000 times, reading before posting goes a long way.

There is no best ROM. Try them yourself and then decide for yourself
Also this kind of thread is not allowed on xda ---> thread closed

New to DX? LOOK HERE FIRST / Help Build DX WIKI Together

EDIT: 09/09/2010
The Wiki is comming along nicely, a thank you is in order to everyone who contributed. Of course it can always be improved, as such I am keeping the original post below. While we still don't have a great following for the DX on XDA we at least have a nice and organized page in which you can find links to the major breakthroughs and how-to's. If you are new to the DX and are looking for a place to begin, thanks to the fine people on this forum the XDA Droid X WIKI (Found Here) is a great place to begin
As new things are discovered for the Droid X we encourage you to add them to the Droid X WIKI, it can always be removed later if need be. It is a great start however. Thank You all, and good work.
From Sleuth255: Just a quick (slightly off topic) note to also say that XDA mods are here to help. The basis of XDA-developers is after all, development, and it is within device specific development forums such as this that all the magic happens. So here is my promise to all Droid X/Android XDA developers using the facilities of this forum: If you need help keeping a development thread "on topic", PM me and I'll place XDA's cosmic moderating powers at your disposal. Obviously, there's give and take here; we're a community based on idea sharing after all, but the point remains: Let's work together to make the Dx something truly amazing.
Now if you'll excuse me, I have more reading to do so I can further acquire "mad Dx/Android skills" without having to resort to noob tactics.
Original Post:
So I have just come from my Droid Incredible... Yesterday as a matter of fact... And could not help but notice the complete lack of organization of all significant breakthroughs for the Droid X. As well as a lack of anything at all in the WIKI.
It actual made me miss the XDA Droid Incredible forum, which was a joke in comparison to the XDA Droid (original) forum... Point being it doesn't say a lot for our Droid X Forum...
SO! I figured I would put out a request to get this forum a bit more organized, even if that means doing so through the XDA Droid X wiki. At least here we can place links to the most significant breakthroughs, etc. I will start working on it myself as soon as I locate some of the more important breakthroughs, such as root, bootloader, Froyo upgrade and downgrade, and any others.
Find the Droid X WIKI Here http://forum.xda-developers.com/wiki/index.php?title=File:Motorola_Droid_X.png
I invite everyone to help, after all not everyone was reading the forum from the start, and just for kicks some time, try searching "root" on any of these forums, you might as well just start scrolling through the pages without searching, because you'll get about the same number of results...
EDIT: So I have decided it is not the lack of effort for this forum as much as the number of occupants. Even the Droid Incredible Development forum (which is considered to be a phone lacking development backing) is being viewed by around 200 people at the moment of writing this. Ours (DX Development) currently only has 20 occupants... I have yet to see a phone in which XDA was not the main forum used for communication, perhaps this is the first?...

You are correct.. I am sad as well coming from the HTC touch where the XDA following was huge...
There isn't so much love for the X here on XDA and you are not alone in hoping it changes!
I'll help out when I get back in town tonight. This place is not user friendly.

**EDIT** - I just updated it with some standard info... more will come soon.
BUMP!!!
This thread needs to be stickied!!!
Yeah I agree... Seems like a popular enough phone, apparently not with the devs though. So, I have decided to go ahead and start building my own rom. My first theme is almost done too...

Ill give a helping hand...
I agree, with everyone who has posted so far. I'm bummed that there aren't people flooding these X forums... I'm not great at development or anything, but have done a decent amount of information compiling for the Wiki at the server lab I manage, and would be willing to help contribute in any way I can!
Agreed.
I usually lurk around in XDA, but it is the first place I check out DX info.
I'll help with whatever I can.
NOOB would love to help
Although I am not new to XDA forums, ( I owe my sanity to you guys for getting me through some of the hairy spots in the WinMo days), I am totally new to Android. I started with the HTC Aria, then got tired of AT&T's BS, so I went to Verizon (where I now have 3G in my home!!). I started there with the Droid 2 but I wanted a better screen and the extra memory so I just picked up my Droid X (after waiting 3 weeks) today. I'm excited, but I know that there are deficiencies - such as no update yet for the DX.
I don't know what I can do to help, but I've always learned that the best way to get acquainted with something is to sometimes just dive in with both feet. I'm just a lowly System Admin Manager for an IT company. DROID X excites me and we truly do need to bring in whatever is needed to get our membership to a level that's worthy of Moto's 'flagship' phone.
Just let me know what I can do to help and I'm there - as I said, I owe you guys big time.
Maraming salamat (many thanks),
Miguel
Now that this is stickied... you should change the title and first post to something along the lines of: "Look Here First" "New to the Droid X" "Noob ALERT!!"
Lol, ok.. maybe not the last one but something similar. Then edit the first post to something explaining the wiki or just the link.
It will help out on confusion in the threads and open ppl eyes to things that are going on and getting lost in the shuffle.
The biggest issue I have seen, is that XDA is an HTC forum, and the Devs dont mess with the Motorolla devices. Other forums have devs that work on the DX and that is where the traffic is. P3Droid, Koush and Birdman have completed the most significant breakthroughs, and they are not a part of this forum. I wish this place had more of a DX following too...for now, I stick with MDW.
Well I just recieved my DX yesterday. Thanks to this great wiki and the people behind it, I was able to root and do some modifying with in the first hour of having my phone, and I didn't have to tear through the forums. Thanks for all of the effort and keep up the good work.

I like MDW alot as well, man, but I DO notice that a good number of posts there will link back to something here in the DX forum on XDA. So, it seems that the higher ups at MDW do at least lurk or contribute here as well.

nice!
after 2 months, I still want to keep my 2.1 OS (in case I want to start some coding on it & 2.1 is a safe version to test on). But I will definitely upgrade to official 2.2 OTA.
btw, is there a list of reasons in the wiki to root & upgrade to 2.2?
Hi! Thanks for getting this wiki and DX forum organized, CaptainTaco and all! I'm relatively new to Android, the DX, and rooting, and all that entails, and was looking for a place to start... and here I am! Have been hearing about XDA for a while, and look forward to learning and contributing as I can!

Welcome aboard. Just make sure you read everything you can before asking a question. I usually ask Google first before I post in a thread. You can also use the hand search feature at the top of the forum.
I say this cause ppl can get pretty heated for threads started asking questions or posting information that has already been answered or giving.
You can always pm me or hit me up on gtalk. A lot of ppl do and I enjoy turning the light bulb on for ppl lol
I've been lurking since I got my new phone, glad to be here. I'm rooted on 2.2 OTA and have learned some about the signed boot loader and latest updates via lurking and searching different forums each day. The wiki looks very complete as far as I can tell, great job!
Thanks for all the work on the Wiki. Great stuff!
I'm coming up to speed on Android/DX now. Very cool platform. I'll be helping more/developing for the Dx soon.
I may not post here much but I try to pay attention and read as often as I can.
P3droid is also a member here as jimmydafish.
Motorola devices will always be second class citizens on this forum...just the way it is.

i could understand getting lost in one of the other motorola fora, but....this is an HTC VIVID forum section.
OP, you might want to check out the motorola photon forums for your questions and concerns for your motorola photon

A simple question with no answers -_-

Ive seen how people be all rude and moody about a simple question like "which rom is the best" and personally -_- whats so hard about helping a guy out with which rom people find more stable with less bugs... Some people actually have a life as to be going in on every thread read every post and try every rom to try and see which rom is best because a comunity forum is too moody as to give a simple answer like " i think you should try cm7 or aokp" goshh its that simple thank you and your welcome

That's how it works, do you really think you're the only person on here with a life?! Just read, and if you don't wanna read and you screw up, your fault. This thread will hopefully be locked in the morning...
Seriously pointless thread this is.
Sent from my Nexus S 4G using XDA
because if u ask who has the best ROM, person 1 will say ROM1 is the best, person2 will say ROM2 is the best ect. ect, and if the ROM devs adds their inputs they will say their ROM is the best then you'll end up with a bunch of ROMs that are the best and it ends up pointless

They aren't allowed because the issue is subjective, you are expected to research and try them out yourself.

The Great Nook Compromise(tm)

So, after much deliberation, we have decided go ahead with the following plan...
When a new device like this comes out, it can be tough on users who are otherwise orphaned until a new board is made (or are left to scrounge in the Misc android board, where ideas can be lost quickly). With this understanding, it has been agreed that for the time being, the Nook Color boards will play host to the HD and HD+ users. I understand this may come with some tension, especially NC only owners, who may have to wade through extra threads to find what they want.
At this time, we must all be understanding, and work together to keep the board running as smooth as possible. To help do this, as of this post, HD posts will be allowed again (and closed threads re-opened), with the following provisions:
1) Any HD thread must be clearly tagged with a "[Nook HD+]"
2) Any HD thread not tagged will be closed (trying to manage two forums in one is a bit much.. if you can't tag it right, it will be closed)
3) Lets try to keep new threads to a minimum. This is still the NC board, and I do not want to see it taken over totally with HD threads. Unless it really needs a new thread, please keep it in one of the existing threads.
I hope we can all make this work; please contact me if you have any questions or problems.
Also, if you haven't, please make your voice heard on the official request thread - it may not help, but it sure can't hurt..

No point in having this thread. Every rom has its rights and user. You can try and find out yourself. There are only handful of ROMs. Important thing is still 4.2.1 is not that ready yet. If you want, try OFFICIAL NIGHTLIES FROM CM10.1 or Asylum(cm10.1) or Stunner 2.0(AOKP) which I have used before. I might have missed out some here but never tried them. My choice would be a Stunner... . Please feel free to try them and find out yourself rather than somebody suggesting you to. After all they are here to download and try. Good luck.

First, wrong section.. You are asking questions so this should be in the q&a
Second, that's very subjetive questions.. The rom that has it all and it's the best thing that ever happened in my life... Could be the worst piece of crap for you.. So go find out by yourself
Tapatalking on my n7000
C'mon guys, can we show a bit more love here?
I don't think this should be in Q&A, as it's a question that's meant to generate discussion and comment. It could easily have been rephrased as - "Comparisons between 4.2.1 ROMS". It doesn't have a question mark at the end, so now it's OK even though it would be discussing the same thing? Or it could have been a "POLL: Best 4.2.1 ROM", and it'd be ok?
And yes, we can tell people to go try all the ROMs out there, but what's the harm in someone asking for other users comments on their experiences? Afterall, isn't this meant to be a place of discussion? I've found it enormously useful to have discussions like the OP is asking for, and it'd be a shame that these discussions don't take place anymore.
To try to contribute to the OP's question - I've used Asylum and have loved it. It has saved my Note. Had been very frustrated with the lag that came with the TW ROMs but now it's brought my Note back to life again. I've been wanting to try Stunner, and based on Galaxtus' comment that he prefers Stunner the most, I will give that ROM a try too. (So thank you, Galaxtus for that very helpful comment!).
official CM 10.1 of course.

As with all "best" threads, there is no best. You need to try some out, and see which one is best for you.
