Hello,
I'm from Germany and would love to have a Moto X with 32 GB.
Is the developer edition simlock free so that I can use it with my german t-mobile card? I am aware that LTE won't work, that doesn't matter.
Regards Birgit

Why not just get it SIM unlocked online if needed? The equivalent of US$8 will get it done.
Developer Edition is sim unlocked.

Hello, I am new the Xperia world. I purchased a T-Mobile Xperia Z a few days ago (still within return window). I learned today that it is not possible to unlock the boot loader to get custom roms like CM. I went to Sony's site and was able to obtain an unlock code they emailed it to me. Does this still mean I cannot unlock it?
If I can unlock then I will keep the device if not I shall return it and get the C6602 because it is unlockable.
The code will not help. It is still locked. There is no way to unlock it.
However, you can still flash stock based roms. Just not those that require a custom kernel.

Just like ckyy said...you can still root, flash custom ROMs....there are PLENTY of them out there. Just follow the guides that [NUT] put in the "General" section and it will guide you thru flashing ftf files using the Flashtool. All the ROMs I've used have been for the C6603 (I think I read somewhere on XDA that those are the most capatible with the C6606 (T-Mobile Xperias) DO NOT use the ftf's from C6602!!
first off i did use search. so if im rehashing an old question i do apologize.
ok ill cut right to the question. is it possible after unlockinging the bootloader and rooting to flash the radios on a tmobile z?
i currently have a xperia z deal pending thats tmobile branded..
i have att and from what i hear the bands are are there, they just need to be enabled. any insight would be great!!!
thanks!!!

F340K is no brand? Are italian networks (LTE included) fully supported?
Which are the difference between F340K and D955?

You have to check the Europe Website, not the US.

Yes, for the International versions, it's the same as the 2013 Moto X (unlockable) through the Moto web site.

The only carrier locked phone is from AT&T. There are no specific ROMs for carriers. All the same. The only thing you have to be careful of is if it's an AT&T variant, is it still carrier locked to AT&T.
Two quick checks: If it's an AT&T device, it should have the AT&T logo on the back, unless the owner has replaced it. But the real test is to insert your TMO SIM card and see if you get a "device locked" popup on the screen.

There are and there aren't. All ROMs will work on both models of the phone (North American and International) however, For Verizon and T-Mobile, if you use a generic ROM, You'll lose some features (VoLTE and WiFi Calling respectively).
@marcos600rr - Please can you try to make thread titles more descriptive? As this is a Q&A forum, needing help is kind of implied
