Since the sense 5.5 update 4.3 in text messages I cannot compose a new message or search or get to menu with on screen keys at the top . Anyone else finding this .

You've turned off animations. Turn them back on (even if at x0.5) and you'll be fine again.

Actually, you only need to turn on animation duration scale to .5x, not the other 2.
If you don't know how to do that, go into developer options, then advanced..
Hadn't realized that would affect on screen buttons . Thank you

Thanks, but I basically just want the stock Android lock, I don't want to get rid of it completely
use this one. flash it in recovery. at least it behaves like you wanted to but i prefer sound on/vibrate on rather sound on/sound off slider.
If i'm not mistaken, u should remove the stock alarm(u can't turn it off if the alarm goes on). I can't remember whether DeskClock or something else....
thanks for the file
Hi,
I have recently flashed my IS to Android Revolution HD™ 1.1.7 with Sense 3.0 lock screen
First this is one awesome ROM!!
Couple of questions -
1) I flashed it with no-sense. Is there any way of putting Sense back on?
2) The lock screen has email which uses the standard email app. How can I set it so that it uses my K9 Email app?
Thanks
1) i guess you can flash the sense components as mentioned in the second post of the ARHD thread to get back sense features
2) in personalize settings, choose lock screen.
where u can choose, there will be a button called settings where you can choose the apps you need to be displayed in the lock screen
Hi
Thanks for the reply.
I've went to settings > personalise
Personalise does not load.

Personalise does not load?
as in you are not able to view the page which provides options for wallpaper, skin, scene options? and from where you can add widgets to the home screen?
what rom are you using?
you could try long pressing on the home screen & the same 'personalize' menu wil pop up
Sorted.
re flashed the ROM without wipe.
I can change the shortcuts.
If you have set the home button to use another launcher, I you have to clear the default to change
the lock shortcut. If not personalise will not work.

Tasker + Android Revolution 1.1.7 issue
I successfully used Tasker application on a stock ROM with profile which does something when some application is in foreground (exactly keeps screen on when power supply available and audiobook player is active).
But after I flashed Android Revolution 1.1.7 this profile no more does not work anymore
Moreover, any profile based on application appearance detection does not work.
I suspect this behavior depends from custom kernel...
Is there some solution for Tasker's application dependent profiles get working?
Yes , in order to get personalize button to work you will have to switch back to the original interface (HTC sense) .
Solution : Go to Android Market , download "Home switcher" and launch your HTC sense from there and then you press menu and go personalize. That should work . I've experienced the same problem by using GoLauncher on custom ROMs regardless of whether it is Android Revolution HD or Virtuous Unity .

I cannot figure out how to switch the keyboard on ARHD 8.1 ROM??

Haven't done this myself but I'll take a crack.
Settings/Language & Keyboard/
You should then see your new keyboard and need to turn it on
Then go into your text messages and get the keyboard to pop up and then go to your notification pull down and you should see Choose input method.
Thank you. Never had to check the notification drawer for that before. Thought I was losing my marbles.

Hello everybody,
I've got a htc one from at&t, previously i had an iphone for years and i have few questions about android:
When i receive a text message the notification appears on my lockscreen and a led light blinks on, but the screen itself stays off. There is any way to get the screen to turn on automatically without touching the phone whenever there is a new notification?
Thanks
Ivan

For text messages I use an application called Textra and it has that feature. You can enable it in the application's settings. I am not sure if the stock Messaging application has that.

Try this app https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.rageconsulting.android.lightflowlite you may not be able customise the LED, but there is an option to make the screen light up when receiving a text...I used to use the paid version when I had a Note 2.

Hello!
I updated today my HTC One (Orange Romania) to 4.3 with Sense 5.5. I discovered that I cannot create a new SMS by tapping the + sign anymore. Nothing happens when I tap the sign, the same happens when tapping the 3 small dots for the menu. I restarted the phone and the problem is still ON.
Do you guys know what is happening? A Sense bug?

Re-enable Animations in Developer options. In Sense 5.5 if you have the Animation Duration completely disabled, the ActionBar buttons won't work (at least in Sense Apps). You can disable window and transition animations, but the best you can do with Animation Duration is set it to .5x. After changing this, reboot.
That was it! Thank you so much!
