HTC One [Stuck in bootloader, Relocked with S-On] - One (M7) Q&A, Help & Troubleshooting

Okay guys,
Here is a bit of back ground information. I bought this phone from Europe as I wanted the black edition of the HTC One. My CID is VODAP102.
However, I have used it with numerous international sim cards. (I live in Canada).
About two months ago I, rooted the device (without making a backup, since I was new) and installed Insertcoin. However soon, afterwards my microphone started to give me problems, so I went through the process to unroot the device, so that I may receive the patch from htc to fix the issue or to even have it sent in (Either way I cannot get through to the Germany Office).
So I have a locked bootloader, with S-On. I have ran many RUU.exe to no avail, as well as using fastboot on mac and pc. Whener I try to fast boot i get:
>>>sending 'zip' (21795 KB)... OKAY
>>>writing 'zip'... INFOsignature checking...
>>>FAILED (remote: 12 signature verify fail)
I really need help with this!

For your RUU to work, the modelid and cid need to match...
Can you give us the results of
Code:
fastboot getvar all
You should aim for S-OFF, once you've got that it's gonna be way easier.

According to what I have been seeing, S-Off can only be done if the bootloader is unlocked. My bootloader has been relocked.

Any luck ? Mine is same as yours

Need Help stuck in Bootloader

Hi,
I have recently got my Incredible S stuck on Bootloader loop.
I was running ICS on my Incredible S which had S OFF. Recently installed Blackrose, then I am not sure why decided to Uninstall Blackrose.
This of course has remove S OFF on my incredible S and now it is stuck.
Running FASTBOOT GETVAR ALL returned the following details;

I have tried installing a ROM that I believe had a greater MAINVER RUU_VIVO_ICS_35_S_TWM_TW_4.10.921.1_Radio_20.74.30.0833U_3831.18.00.11_M_release_266252_signed but this returned an error of "CID Incorrect! Update Fail!"
If anyone can help, I have a feeling I may be using the incorrect ROM if they could point me towards a ROM that would work I would much appreciate it.

Hi Nathan,
I didn't think I would be able to use that ROM as the MAINVER is lower than what mine was.
Anyway I managed to use the ROM that I posted earlier but first creating a "Gold Card" with my SD card.
I used the following to create a Gold Card using another Android
Then copied the ROM to the SD Card and Flashed using Bootloader.
If you Google "guide-how-to-create-goldcard-sd-card-for-htc-android-phones-w-video" you can find the site for creating the Goldcard, I can't create links becuase I have under 10 posts.
Do u still have s off

The problem is that when you removed the BlackRose HBOOT, it replaced itself with HBOOT 1.13 which is incompatible with the stock ICS ROM. You need to use the WWE RUU 4.10.405.1 to flash to avoid the CID error you are getting with the 4.10.921.1 RUU.

[Q] HTC Reboot Loop+White Screen :l

This is my very first post because I am desperate enough to make an account and come ask for help so if you would please help! Ill try to be as thorough as I can.
I have an AT&T HTC One M7 and This morning I was running software version 4.1.2 I believe? *Just bought this phone from someone yesterday*
and today I also decided to download the update, since people have been saying its amazing. Before downloading the update, my phone worked perfectly, nothing wrong with it.
After the download completed, the phone just kept going on a reboot loop. Earlier in the day, when it would load, it would load to the main lock screen, where you can slide to unlock, but as the day went on, it just skipped to the HTC white screen without showing the default lock screen. If i press the power button quickly the default lock screen will light up only for a second and quickly revert back to the white HTC screen. And on top of that, its hard trying to get anything done when the phone is rebooting every 2 minutes.
Any advice? Im new to this all but have been researching all day, I unlocked my bootloader thus far with HTCdev using Hasoon All-In-One kit.
Please help?
Power it on into the bootloader and give people the details on what is listed. I probably won't be back to help, so this is a bump and what others will ask for.
Sent from my One using XDA Premium 4 mobile app
well im sure people know the options on bootloader, ive tried factory resetting the phone already, ive tried clearing the cache multiple times as well
bump** sorry if im not allowed to post this, new to the site :S just kinda desperate for some help, been browsing these forums for a while today now

what firmware version should i be installing ? cuz some mentioned that jumping to the latest one from an old version might erase phone data. another reason is that i can't find my current fw 3.63.401.3 mentioned anywhere.

yes you can use M7_UL firmware, they are the same device, its just the UL comes with LTE and the U doesn't, just means the LTE parts of the firmware wont be installed, it doesn't mean you will change your device into an LTE device, you can use any files for the UL on the U, RUU's, firmeware, custom rom's etc.
Also when flashing firmware as you are s-off you don't need to worry about only going back 1 step, you can flash any you like, just be sure to read the OP special instructions first and also make sure your cid and mid match the firmware, also, if you are flashing a modified firmware, ie no red text, you can never go S-ON, this will lead to an instant brick.
for clarification see here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2223236
thanks very much for your reply, i'm not going back to s-on so there won't be problem flashing custom fw..
i'll follow vomer guide and install the latest fw, will just back up my data just in case anything happen

[Q] trouble flashing Recovery

Hi
I unlocked my phone - HTC One (m7) using the HTCDev.com/bootloader.
Fastboot says its ***UNLOCKED***
Ive been trying to "fastboot flash recovery recovery.img" - Ive tried TWRP and Clockwork, both just sit at: "sending 'recovery' (xxxx KB)... ".
"fastboot erase cache
erasing 'cache'... OKAY" and "fastboot reboot-bootloader" all work fine so I know its connecting and working.
below is Getvar all data.
Can anyone suggest why this might be happening?

In your first post delete the imei and serialno from the getvar!
Do you have USB Debugging enabled in Settings -> Developer options?
Is Fast boot unchecked in Settings -> Power?
Is your TWRP renamed to recovery and is it in the same directory that Ubuntu is currently focused?

That came up after to flashed your recovery. There is a way to remove the tampered flag, but I'm not sure about the unlocked flag.
Here's what I used to remove tampered:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2477792
You need to be s off to remove tampered. It's not really a problem unless u need to return your phone for warranty

A Google of the problem doesn't seem to find much (although that could be my fault for not using the correct search terms!!)
Any help appreciated into what this error means and how to solve it!
Thanks

it's normal with hboot 1.44, ignore it
I hope your not going from 1.x software to 7.x software ...that may not be good at all
Thanks for the advice.
Why wouldn't it be good and what would you recommend? Incremental updates?
After reading around the subject, I did incremental updates to the firmware from 1.29.X all the way to 7.15 following Vomer's guide and have been successful.
Still on Jellybean. Still S-OFF.
Hope others find this useful
