First of all, this is NOT a request to developers to leave everything and start making AOSP ROMs. I am just curious why we have almost none or at least not fully functioning AOSP ROMs. The ones I tried, SpaceCaker's AOSP GB and the 2 AOSP ROMs from Maclaw, were great. Don't get me wrong, I like the CyanogenMod ROMs, just curious why AOSP gets overlooked. Are they harder to build than other ROMs or are people really not into them? Appreciate any input.
Also, if anyone knows of any AOSP builds besides the three mentioned (SpaceCaker's AOSP Gingerbread, Maclaw's AOSP ICS and Jellybean), I would be grateful if you would share them. Cheers!
I agree with you...there aren't much aosp ROM for our Ace although there are the best ROM that works smoother...but on the other hand there has much less function compared to CMs ROM...so maybe people want CM more..
What do you want more? I mean we have one aosp for gb, ics and jb.
If a developer would make another aosp rom, it would be more or less the same rom.

It is not a matter of "want". As I stated in my thread, this is not a request. I was just being curious, to be honest. Maybe, I was not clear. I also meant that AOSP ROMs are not used as base ROMs. Maybe, CM is more favorable towards that. Anyway, thanks for the input, valid point you made,

it is because aosp is based purely on armv7+ devices and not armv6
and cm is adapted to support ore types of sockets and such
wich is why its easier to build cm then aosp

pretty much settings/user preferences/other things.
CNA has some things, AOKP has some things, they both have some things
and im trying to make CNA more tablet mode orientated since AOKP has more ability to switch between phone/tablet modes easier

ICS stunner is based on ICS Euphoria which is based on features from AOKP and CM9. You will have euphoria controls which are a mix of controls from Both
AOKP is the open kang project which is separate from cm9, with its own set of controls and features
Highly recommend you to check both roms out! Fabulous roms!

No worries mate. Its all good, you are always good to ask questions if they confuse you The common bugs which all aosp and aokp roms share are the same because they are all based on Imilkas aosp v6 rom.
But I would recommend you to see the OP with the list of bugs mentioned there too and the aosp bug list as well.
And I recommend you trying the few roms for note, to see which one suits you according to your preference. cheers!

Can i have cyanogenmod 10.1 and badseed kernel running together? I have a Sprint HTC One I have S-Off and write protection disabled fully rooted.
No. CM is AOSP and badseed is made for sense roms. With CM or any AOSP based roms you have to use an AOSP based kernel.

Well there are many out there, you can choose any if you want, my custom rom at the moment is SuperNexus (not many features but stable).... If you use Slim bean then it will give you a signal error message build 4.3 as it has a bug but as soon as 4.3 build 1 is released use that one... Next on the list is cyanogen one of the most famous rom used (advanced options for settings, personalize you lr devixe manage speed and etc)...

I support CM 10.1 since it is very stable and also very famous. But there are a lot good ROM out there such as MIUI. Hy all.
I've been watching this board for quite a long time but in the end I decide to ask for advice from someone that knows.
I'm searching for ideal rom that has working device parts like tv-out. I kinda dount I'll find any 4.3 tom with this feature if not pease suggest me some other latest build. I tried sevral latest rom on CM base (CM 10.1, 10.2 Slim beam 4.2.2 4.3, C-rom v4) but with no luck, thus many of those are very buggy in basic operatios. Currently using updated Helly Bean 4.3.
Thanks
CM currently doesn't have DeviceParts working. And because a lot of 4.3 roms draw from CM sources, none of them will have that feature fully working.
Odd though, CM10.1 and Slim 4.2.2 should have it working

Sorry to ask for this, I know I should install and test for myself the rom,
But I just would like to know how is the battery life on this rom?
What about the power button? Does it work properly? Because I had this issue on android 4.3 based rom's.
And the camera? Clear images and sharper?
Thanks in advance!

By the way, in my opinion android 4.2.2 is the most stable atm

It's even easier for YOU to test it yourself. Backup your current setup and flash it. Most of the mentioned bugs aren't even for everybody and it is actually quite hard for the devs to make a full list of bugs which occur for every single user.
If you don't agree with that it's your fault. The devs are doing an awesome job here and they do it because they want to.

In my honest opinion, bugs should be on the OP if they are known bugs. It's a matter of structure and information. But that's just me
From what I understood, carbon is a "fork" from Liquid and I think it's a compilation from source and not a port, right? If so, is it possible to compile Liquid from source as well ?

No, they stated the following:
CarbonRom is an aftermarket firmware based on the Android Open Source Project. The team is composed of former members of Team Liquid who have forked the code in an attempt to bring greater speed, better coding, and full authorship to code. We are in no way affiliated with Liquid0624. The rom was forked at Liquid beta 3.2.1 and has since undergone major code changes and modifications.

They "forked" the code, although it was changed a LOT, a fork is a fork
Anyway, I'm gonna have a look later on see if Liquid can be compiled for our p880.

No,THANK you man Someone sayed that all 4.2 builds are much better then 4.3 roms builds and i agree on that.
Far as I understood the source is published.
Will see what I can do during the weekend

And yeah, I agree, I'm pretty happy with CM10. 1.3. Although I do miss the privacy features from 4.3.
Mods can lock and delete this since demerits answered our prayers and ported new version.
