For those of you who are looking to buy the Nexus 5 from outside the US, here's how I did it.
Even though my order is still Pending, I've bought four Nexus 4s and a Chromecast this year.
1. Download and sign up for a TunnelBear account (http://www.tunnelbear.com/).
- Reputable VPN app that allows you to connect to the US Play Store.
2. Turn on TunnelBear and connect to the US.
3. Sign up for a new Google Account, which you will use specifically for ordering devices from the Play Store.
- I tried using my main Google Account and my first Nexus 4 order on launch date didn't go through.
- If you already have an account for ordering, log in to that account instead.
4. Go to the Play Store and place your items in your cart.
5. Assuming you're going to want to use your non-US credit card, simply use your US shipping address as your billing address.
- Have had no problems with Google rejecting this so far but I guess YMMV?
- I've no experience with those package forwarding companies and have only sent it to my relative's house in the US.
6. Ordered.

I am wanting to know whether Google keeps track of my purchases, and allows me to download them again in the future, if I need to. Like the App Store for example.
I want to know this because I would like clean the "slate" of my NC, in preparation for the 1.1 update. And then wait for a nooter to come out.
hah sorry mate, misread your post...
*foot in mouth*
i believe purchases are tracked by id... what's the point someone already answerd below
Google stores your purchase history with your GMail account, so you will not have to pay again.
Just make sure you use the same GMail account when you set things up again.
And Barnes & Noble stores your book purchase records to your account.
I remember reading that you'd get the same 50GB of dropbox storage with the cameras but I know that AT&T had opted out with the s3 and the 25GB for the One X. Did they also opt out with the camera?
Has anybody purchased the unlocked version and got the 50GB?
I have an unlocked version, was offered 50Gb free but when I signed in it wasn't and hasn't since been applied.
I am not sure if you have to create a new account when you set up the camera for the first time, I signed into my existing account.
I got my additional 50GB when activating my Note 10.1 a couple of weeks ago on my existing account. However, I did not get an additional 50GB when activating my Galaxy Camera now – but that would have been to ask for too much, I guess
A single account can get the free 48GB only once. That's why you didn't get them.
Make a new account, login and then you'll get them... On another account so!!
I'm getting a Galaxy S3 in the next week or two. Do you need to create a new Dropbox account to get the 50GB, or can it be applied to an existing account?
I got those 50GB, but I had to follow steps on dropbox (you should receive a mail about it).
Only issue with drop box is if you have two accounts you can't sync on the same pc (unless someone can tell me how to do it)

Click to collapse
So you mean the 50gb initiated when you set up your GS3, but you had to complete the registration on Dropbox.com?
Where would one go to bring an issue to Google's attention? When Google play music first released it gave users the option to bill to the carrier account. I selected this option and it said complete. Several weeks to nearly a month later I get an email stating the my purchase was declined and because of a card I have in my Google Wallet. I deleted this card thinking it may of caused an issue with my selection. I then selected to have Google all access bill to my account again. Here it is a few weeks later and I get another email saying my purchase was declined because I didn't have a card set up in my Google wallet.
This is really starting to get annoying. Has anyone else been successful with having this new service billed to your account? Not just selecting it but actually getting an email when the payment wad due stating the payment was successfully applied to your account and not just some card you have set up in your Google wallet.

For Google Play ( I have no idea how I got my hands on this, I just have an old conversation in my email. I couldn't find it online. )

I'll keep looking around though.
EDIT: Here you go!
Files Go by Google has been handed to me via "you might also like" as an early access app.
It does come with a strange message agreement between google employees and friends and family for some reason.
I can get it too
I hope that this it the right subforum for my question:
I want to release an app on the Google Play Store in a way that only the users I approve of can download it. According to Google's support website (sorry, doesn't let me post the link - just google "publish private apps", it's the first result) you can accomplish this by releasing a private app. My question now is:
How does it work for the approved users? Is there a way to set it up, so they can download the app through a link, no matter what organization they belong to?
Or is there no way around working with origanizations? If so, does this mean that someone in the company's IT appartment has to set up an account that approves of my app and every other user in the same company has to use the company's e-mail address to create a Google account and then join the organization to be able to download the app?
I know that I have to pay $25 to sign up as a developer but are there any "hidden" costs for users/organizations that use my app as well?
