[Q] Multiboot Gingerbread and Jellybean? - Motorola Droid 3

From what I understand from reading post after post after post, the newest recovery allows for multi-booting. But I thought that I read that it only works with ICS and Jellybean roms. What I ultimately want to know is if I can multiboot my stock factory rom with the latest Jellybean rom. I want some of them Jellybean features for apps that require it, but I like the stability (laugh) of the stock rom. Mainly I like the use of my camera.

What version of safe strap are you on? And do you have any advise that might be helpful. On a1 to 10 scale, my skill level with this stuff is about a 7.5. So no need to candy coat anything.

When I was in CM9 I just flashed PA v0.2 then wiped cache and dalvik. It works for me with no problem. I prefer PA over CM9 but you need to try it out.
PA on stock ICS?
Is the use of CM9 ROM mandatory, or could I try out PS on the german XXPLY stock ICS rom?

Umm.....PA is it's own ROM. It's just built on CM9 builds. So, you can't run it "on the stock rom".
Paranoid is the BEST CM9 based ROM I have ever used and that is saying something!!! It is just freekin AWESOME!!!

Remember to read the install instructions, you must flash Paranoid rom from a rooted GB rom.
so can anyone else confirm that it is safe to flash PAv0.2 over CM9 Build 7??

Really light rom with decent battery life (ics or jb)

Hi guys and girls!
Hope you are all doing well. Anyway, I rooted yesterday and am running a new kernel (speed mod k13 I believe) anyway. What I am after now, is as the title says, a light, fast rom with decent battery life. I was wondering if anyone had suggestions or experiences and could suggest something. Would a CYANOGEN from work? When I had my galaxy s I was using 7 and found it really good. But are there others?
Cheers!
Oliver

cyanogen will indeed work as will paranoid android charack,s,rocket rom if its lite you want then look for a rom with aroma installer so you can install what you want
Cheers!, really liking the look of paranoid android, especially the hybrid roms! it has been a goood while since i flashed a rom, so need to figure out what i have to do again. lol, thanks, if you can provide any tips on moving to this rom from stock ics with speedmod kernel, it would be helpful! Thanks.

As long as you are on safe kernel you don't have to worry about anything or to revert back to GB. Just keep flashing rom with full wipes. Its enough for you.....
So, i am trying to back up through CWM on hydracore, it gets soooo close to the end and then says there was an error backing up the data, any ideas on what this is or a remedy for it?
I dont really want to flash a rom without doing the backup... even though in the past, i have done (old phone) is it imperritive to make a backup?

What exactly you want to backup from old rom, apps? If so then use titanium backup. I never backup whole rom as it hardly takes 15-20 minutes to setup rom if you have backup of apps.

Yes, as with any AOKP/ CM9 based rom..
There are alternative apps that could be used.
Otherwise, there are some excellent choices when it comes to Touchwiz-based roms as well.
Some are available themed to the AOKP look, if you prefer.

Is there any custom ROM based on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean for Milestone

Hi all,
I heard many people said that Jelly Bean is really really fast.
Milestone is quite old. I am running CM 7.2.1 and feel some slow response, but my friends said that Jelly Bean is even faster then ICS and GingerBeard.
Is there any way to install Jelly Bean to Milestone?

But this one in in alpha state. And It has bugs.
Nowadays I prefer CM7 with 2ndboot. it uses custom kernel.

First post of that topic is about CM9 (ICS). But latest builds are based on Android 4.1.2 which is jelly bean. If you read the topic from last post, you can find the details. And also you can find latest build`s link below.

Milestone has locked. Which means, we can only use original kernel. Otherwise our radio can not work. With 2ndboot, we can use custom kernel which is enabled swaping.

[Q] JB ROM's

I first wanna apologize for being a noob. I just rooted my droid bionic yesterday, first time, and upgraded to JB afterwords. So I'm running JB and was wondering if I could use ICS ROMs or any ROM on my bionic running jelly bean. If so where are some good sources and would safe strap be the best way to boot into them since I already used it to make a stock back up and open ROM partition. If safe strap is not recommended, what should I use?
-Thank you for any help

I would use safe strap v3.11 and use Cm10.1 its probably the best rom ive ran. you can download here http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2032257 only use cm-10.1-20130415 as of right now. if you use the latest then it will randomly reboot when your phone goes to sleep.
Thanks

[Q] Can you use safestrap to run ICS in slot1 on JB stock?

I really want to downgrade my phone but from what I read, for some reason, you cannot go back. Can I use safestrap and put a ICS rom in slot1 and use ICS that way? Thanks in advance.
