halo on LiquidSmooth 2.12 - Galaxy S III I9305 (4G LTE + 2GB RAM) Q&A, Help &

Today I installed LiquidSmooth v2.12 on my Samsung Galaxy S3 gt-i9305 LTE. Everything that I have testet so far works, except Halo.
I can start it, and I see the blue icon on the edge of the screen and I can move it and everything, but none of my notifications shows up in it.. Not textmessage, facebook messanger, instagram, mail. Nothing..
Whats wrong? please help.

i'm sorry i haven't flash that rom before...
If you have verificated that the notification didn't work, maybe you can try to wipe and flash the rom again
or try to reply the orginal post of the rom

At the moment i don't have a memorycard och can't flash becouse my internal SD has a tendansy to wipe it self when I do a factory reset in CWM. And i loose the rom and backup (have copies on computer) and i'm stuck with a phone without a rom and no new to flash xD
Can't post in that forum yet, i've been a silent observer on xda for some years now but just now registred me.

It doesn´t start, thats why you can´t see it, i have the same problem here on my Phone.
It´s the same issue with the Battery Icon. you can activate it but it wont show up..
Hope it will be fixed with the next update.

no one cant help, I really freak out to solve this issue
Hi matanamos,
have you wiped data/cache before flashing?
For 2.2 ROM's it might be recommended, to install one of the full G.O.T. 2.2.1 SBF images with RSDlite first.
Hope this helps!
Cheers,
scholbert
I tried everything you said and nothing work.
I really want to move from 2.1
BTW THX

Did you really try to flash the G.O.T. 2.2.1 SBF image with RSDlite?
What happened afterwards?
We should try to break the problem down to pieces, so anyone could follow

Did you install the correct baseband files?
For example, the ROM you installed could be using Europe 3G and your operator could be running North American 3G (no idea what your provider uses, but you should look it up).
Once you know, you could choose the appropriate baseband in either GOT Open Recobery or Androidiani OR.
There are some manual ways (file copying) to do this, but it is more complicated to do then through OR (especially if you already flashed).
I do what you say with the OR Androidiani and I set Basehane Israel-Cellcome (the one I use) and nothing help the phone keep send me the erorr ,
I dont know what to do anymore!

try this
go to the open recovery menu wipe the cache and dalvik cache and then change the baseband and wipe the dalvik cache and cache again
if still can't then try using RSD lite to flash the GOT 2.2.1 SBF then wipe the cache and dalvik cache
let us know what happens next
First of all thx for your comment,
When I burn firstly the G.O.T 2.2.1 the Rom works(he recognize my opreator(cellcom)) great and after I burn the ROM I want like Froyomod or MIUI I still get the Erorr!
please andybody?!?!?
I had the same issue. This is what I did.
Flash the original sbf using rsd lite. Flash vulnerable recovery using rsd lite. Flash CM using OR. Then do a dalvik, cache and full system wipe. Reboot.
This solved my issue. But remember, whenever ur flashing the original sbf and the bootloader, do not boot into android. Keep the Direction Pad up key pressed so you always boot into the bootloader when Rsd lite reboots ur phone.
Try that and pm me if you still have issues.
I must use the CM ROM or I can use the FROYOMOD instead!?
and I dont understand what I have to do after I Flshe the Rom By the RSD LITE , you mean after the RSD LITE flash my SBF and restart my phone I need AUTO get into bootloader agian1?
and what you mean by the "Original Sbf"?
The yellow sim is cause to the Force Close problam.
hhhh LOLLL matan?!?! XD i recogenize you XD
Some ROMs overclock by default ( i believe most do by now).
This makes you phone faster, but potentially less stable with some (rare) milestones. You be may unlucky with you phone.
You should check to see if this is the case.
Either edit the 10overclock file manually from a shell in your recovery if use a recovery that supports overclock and disable it (set it back to stock 550).
Another option, if you really want to overclock, is to up the max vsel to gain stability. But as this requires trial and error, i would test the stock speeds first to confirm that this is indeed the problem.
It may not be overclocking, but it sure sounds like what happens when you have just enough vsel to boot but not enough to be stable.

I have the "TyphooN CyanogenMod 7" rom.
I flashed it 2 days ago to my htc hd2, everything worked fine. Then i entered the MAGLDR Bootloader just to have a look for something (i didn't change anything!).
I chosed the last point ("shut down" or sth. like that) and when i rebooted my statusbar was disappeared....
I don't know how to get it back...
On every reboot there comes up a message:
We are sorry
The application statusbar (process com.android.systemui) was closed unexpected.
Please try it again.
"force closing" [button]
Whats that? What can i do?
Pls help...

P.S.: Thanks anyway, hg3atintin
reflash your rom. but don't wipe personal data - all your apps, accounts will be saved.
enter magldr. wipe dalvik (in advance) and partition. but don't wipe data.
install zip from sd card - select your rom.
this will rewrite the rom, keep your data. it will take you <5 minutes. try this and report back.
Reflash your Rom.
Thx, jsmccabe78!
I've done that and it works fine

Problem since 1 Week

r a Hey guys i hope you can help me.
My phone is a Galaxy S 2 without any branding. I have flashed the ParanoidAndroid Custom Rom 3 weeks ago and all seems to be ok. Last week i had to flash my phone in stock rom to send it to repair.
Now the repair is done and i want to flash the custom rom.
And there's the problem.
I rooted my phone, flashed the CWM-Recovery and the custom rom.The Rom starts and i can login in my phone. Every time the phone gets in standby by timeout i couldnt wake up the phone and can do nothing than a hard reboot.but than the phone stays at bootscreen and do nothing. After 30 sec. a screen with kernel panic appears. If this happens i can only flqsh the stock rom in download modus.
I have tried several roms.
I hope you can help me please.

In recovery - > Wipe data, wipe cache and dalvik cache. This may solve the bootloop. If the problem persists, re-insert a battery and flash the rom again (i think you'll able to go into a download mode).

Is your phone i9100 or i9100g? According you mention before, I think Resurrection rom is for i9100.
It's a GT-I9100 so the rom is for
I tried different solution but nothing works. Tried several roms, release and re-insert the battery, always make a full wipe before flashing, reflashing the rom.
The thing is:
I can flash a custom rom without problems...the new flashed rom starts without problems...BUT if the phone gets into standby and stays there for 1 min i can't wake up the phone...i can only hard reboot the phone..release the battery and re-insert it. Then the phone boits and stays at boot. I can only enter the download modus.

can you tell how you flash new roms

[Q] galaxy mini thinks its a GT-S5360

After installing JellyPlus and Cor Plenus kernel on my Galaxy Mini for program compatibility, I find the rom a little unstable, and wish to retun the phone to its origional status
Using CWM to load new rom gives error of there not being enough room on the device
Using Odin downloader, either the phone is not recognised, or the operation works, but sends the phone into boot loop, depending on the version of Odin I use
Using Kies, well, my phone is not 5570 any more, but a 5360 which is not supported for firmware upgrade
I am computer literate, Pc, Tablets, Windows, Android etc - No, I only thought I was
I have tried many things, and do not see how to revert the phone to factory (ie GT-S5570I STOCK ROM from its current status of GT-S5360)
Please, please help. I am happy to take a big kicking if this is easy, obvious, or many times previously covered - a push in the right direction would be greatly appreciated
Thank you, Paul
If you have bootloop, wipe data from stock recovery. And as I read read your post, you flashed Mini Plus ROM and kernel! So be happy, that your phone works!

What I did.!
My phone was a GT-S5570I
I flashed the following, thinking that it was for my phone - see last bit?!
[ROM][KERNEL][ICS/JellyBean mod] JELLYBLAST V3 for Galaxy MINI/POP PLUS [GT-S5570i]
I am grateful that the phone still works, and very grateful to all of you who have replied
What I would like to know is how to enable enough free space on the phone so that I can flash back to stock 2.3.6 (as it was when I bought it)
should I pretend that it is a pop plus now, and look for solutions from there?
The 'trasto' has let me flash once again to the above rom / kernel, but often I am stuck without carrier - emergency calls only. Other than hat, it works very nicely!
hmm try to flash a kernel made for ur device , coz the kernel has the main properties of ur device for kies to detect, tat shud be ok,wont be requiring much space for kernel flashing i suppose :good:
btw there shudnt besuch errors, the updater script is acually set to swipe everything out b4 cpying the new files into ur rom
or else flash a custom rom, its easy tat way
just flash a firnware through odin

My thoughts exactly!
Can anyone recommend a method - have tried versions 1.87 (flashes, but boot loops afterwards), and 4.38 which does not recognise the phone
What I would really like to know is if there is a way to ´make room´ on the phone so I can flash through CMR - I too thought that a custom rom would clear everything out of it´s way, as did the jellythingyrom which has successfully put android 4.1.1 on the phone

Don't panic my friend ....
and YES, after upgrading to JellyBlast Samsung Kies recognized as 5360 ...
but everything is working well ..
I can backup / restore like normal phone ....
so why do u bother about that ...?
What I think is 5360 has the same hardware like 5570i ...
or maybe JellyBlast was ported from 5360 ... !!!!!
Here , your question is answered ...
U don't have to need the free space as flashing original FW doesn't need to put the file to phone ...

Thank you, and .......... thank you!! I may be being hysterical, but main reason for wanting to go back to original is because the phone now often is stuck with emergency calls only. On rebooting I also sometimes get an Unlock Network screen (should I have unlocked the phone first? Hmm - I have read so much over the last few days that I am not too sure any more. Shall try flashing the original firmware cwm or odin, or both??!! Have you any views on the problems that >I have re the above posts? Kind regards, Paul PS sim works as normal in nokia phone
Hi Paul ...
According to your post I assumed that u have GT-S5570i like mine ...
I don't face any situation like you posted ...
The reason is may be ...
U didn't wipe the Dalvik cache
try wiping and see ...
And for the Network unlock screen ...
What I think is your country or region CSC code is different from the Jellyblast's default CSC code ...
in that case U need to know your original CSC code and need to change back ...
this is what I thought ...

Bueno, managed to find what I wanted (other than a functioning (for me!) 4.1.1 rom)
Phone back to original status, and only wasted 6 euros on a replacement sim which I didn't need!
Have located ´'stockrom+odin s5570i' zip - if anyone has similar problems can mail it to them
The zip has the PDA, PHONE(MODEM) and CSC all split up, and I zapped the BOOTLOADER as well, just in case
All as I want it, and at least I now know how to recover when I try a 422 Rom next time!
What a shame Odin not available for this phone in 'one packet option', and what a shame nothing like Nexus Root Toolkit for sgmini
Same problem

Hi, I have the same problem. Can you please send yours zip and instructions? For 5570 Odin not sees my phone and for 5360 See, but I do not know how to enter the pit. With it a little scared. I tried. Zip update, but everything just mods for 5570, which is now reports differently and therefore probably do not install via clockwork.
I play with it all day and google it to me a little laugh .. omg (when you have 20 tabs open and there is a mess).
Problem solved
So we solved the problem with rpaurey successfully. Odin really need to be right on the GT-S5570I and I think "I" even at the end.
Stock rom I had only a little English and other languages, but downloading Czech now. Thanks.

Assuming you have all the required software tools(xiaomi flash tool, adb tools etc) and there is no issue with the internals of the device, follow the bellow:
1. Flash the device to the latest miui official global rom.
2. Flash the tremble edition of TWRP or orange recovery for the device via adb.
3. At the TWRP menu, before flashing the rom, make sure you wipe system, data, cache, vendor, dalvik partitions (see advanced wipe).
4. You can try the rom at https://forum.xda-developers.com/mi-max-2/development/rom-pixel-experience-plus-t3984377 which is nice (personal opinion there are many more quality roms like havoc, lineage os, aosp etc) and give thanks to the developers! The least we all members can do.
Make sure you are careful in order to not brick the device and always have backup of your files. The responsibility of your device's well being remains to you alone.
If you face any issue or have questions, feel free to post to help you in any way we can.

Mine for example is the MDE40 64GB.
is there any SD card installed? If yes remove. And also the Sim and see if it still reboots.
Model is same like your, 4GB/64GB...
I have a SD card and SIM card always inside phone...
I was thinking to try that, to remove them after installing rom, because when I was install Android 10, before phone get freeze, I got a message "com.qualcomm.qcrilmsgtunnel proces has stopped", and read somewhere that is some problem with provider... I will try later today, and will see..

Yes dual Sim smartphones with custom roms have some stupid issues sometimes. Me for example I have to place my Sim to card slot 2 (where you place the SD card) in order for my car unit via Bluetooth to show the reception bars on its screen.
Please do when you have free time and inform us. Hope I gave you useful insight!
Also if without Sim is booting well, try to disable Volte. Some users with some providers have issues with that.
Here I am again...
I was try to install 5 new pie roms this morning, and always same problem... I was remove SD card, or SIM card, or both of them, and problem is still here...
Its something when system starts, then freeze...
Very strange

Does the roms you try have an kernel which OC the cpu?
Maybe you need one that keeps the cpu at stock speed.
Or if the phone is carrier locked and faces issues with that?
I was try all pie roms, and with all have same problem, except sometimes with Potato pie rom... Try also and with or without flashing kernel, with or without graphic drivers, all combination of all stuff... I must stay on nougat, like untill now... Im trying to install pie rom few months, and no more nerves to trying... I will sold this phone, and get MiMax 3...
Anyway big thanks for trying to help... I was hope there is someone who have same problem, and who solved this maybe, but...
Is your phone's bootloader unlocked? I havent seen anyone facing the problems you are facing, do not rule out a hardware issue. Hope you've done a mistake and don't have a hardware issue. Greetings!
