Three second review-Invisible defender screen protector - G2 Accessories

Crap, crap, crap. Ordered ahead on amazon to be ready.
It MUST come thre in a package for a reason. Brand new phone. Remove stock screen protector, see nothing on screen as expected. New screeen protector goes on...and it had crap on it. Write it off as a fluke, wipe and throw #2 on. Same problem.
Not wasting #3 yet, and wow does this thing leave smudges like crazy. It looks worse than my OG evo after a couple years of banging around a drawer. I am thinking of going naked, or getting a higher end one installed someplace I can make them replace it if it sucks like this.

I just meant I started with a pristine screen. It's not like I was doing it in a crap factory, and both of the protectors I put on had a ton of crap under them. Not my first rodeo...and disapointing.

well, what is crap? you arent very discriptive and seem bashing Cowboy

Does the Tilt come with a screen protector?

ive been told the tilt comes with a screen protector from the factory, is this true? i never saw it in the box...is it pre-installed?

yes, it does, it's very thin and probably easy to overlook, I'd recommend buying a 3 pack of clear touch protectors. They're a little expensive considering it's just a thin piece of plastic, but it's a lot cheaper than replacing your screen, and you can wash and reuse them. They're made by boxwave, you can probably do a google search and find it really easily.
here's a link if you're thinking about getting some. http://www.boxwave.com/products/cleartouch/cleartouch-screen-protector-htc-tytn-ii_2905.htm
is it pre-installed then? i really hope so, because ive put a scratch on it already
Mine came with one. As said it was very easy to overlook as it was just a small card with it on it. I almost missed it. I actually really like it. Mines been holding up better that some of the others I got for my other devices.

nope it's just a really thin piece of plastic, i messed around w/mine for about 30 seconds before i realized it was crap and ordered the set from boxwave, as far as your scratch, maybe give this a shot, let me know how it works in case i ever need it for an emergency scratch. http://www.1800mobiles.com/lenspolish.html or just have your screen replaced, but i have no idea what that will cost.

if i remember correctly you probably peel the clear protector of that card.
I highly recommend ScreenPatronus for their screen protectors. I've been using PDA's for 5 years now and they are by far the best screen protectors I have ever used. They are only $6.50 for a set of three, so the price is very reasonable too.
my tilt came with a cover..good ole salesman of mine reminded me not to overlook it
Yes
I don't know why.....mine did.....luck I guess

Screen Protection

Does anyone use the screen covers or anything like it? Or does anyone think its pointless? Need some guidance on what to do. Thanks!

i didn't think i did when i got my first g1 but then my jeans put a few small scratches in the screen so when i got second phone a week ago i ordered the ZAGG invisibleshield for it, i haven't gotten it yet but should tomorrow or the next day, but i would definitely recommend getting one.
The absolute best protector I've ever used is the one made by Seidio. It's a dry install and the film is as smooth as the screen itself. I've also used the Zagg Invisible Shield..it's nearly inpenetrable, but it takes away much of the smoothness of the original screen, so your finger won't glide as smoothly. It's texture is also very much like orange peel. Also, you have to use a wet method to install this...it's not really a big deal, but some are weary of taking the risk.
Right now, I'm using the Clear Protector, which is a lot like Zagg, but smoother in texture. Kind of in between the two. Definitely closer to the Zagg though, and the install is done the same way.
For what it's worth, I've thought about it a lot recently. I'm so anal, that if any part of my phone got beat up i'd be irritated and looking to replace it. So if it falls hard enough to scratch the screen either way, it'll probably be getting replaced shortly thereafter... but I also have a dedicated pocket where I don't put anything in with my phone, so I don't have to worry about things like key scratches.
Cliff's notes: You probably don't need one if you're like me...but if you're not, look at the Seidio or Clear Protector.
@uansari1 completely off topic, but i noticed that i can't get the stock cupcake download off of google's code page, so thank you for uploading it somewhere else
i use the screen protectors from tmobile for the mt3g on my g1. they fit perfect and work really well. 10 bucks for 2 was a little steep i thought, but i got to cover both my g1's so it was worth it!

I have the ZAGG full body cover. It's not bad. The protection is great, it ever saved me from cracking my screen a few times butcause of the way it's bonded. The only things I don't care for is the fact that it kinda looks like an orange peel, (you understand when you put it on), and your fingers stick to, rather than glide across the screen.

Make sure you read the directions... Seidio puts a nice tab on their protectors to make installation a breeze. Just make sure your screen is totally dust-free first.

That is me DONE DONE DONE with screen protectors

I put a super expensive invisible shield on my nexus s as soon as I got it because it looked so good I wanted to keep it that way.
But, for quite a while now I've been looking at my phone and thinking it just doesn't look very nice at all.
Today I was sitting having my lunch and using my phone and I had an epiphany. It occurred to me (finally) that it was the screen protector that was making the phone look bad.
Pulled the thing off and every single time I pick my phone up now I'm amazed at how pretty the thing is. And everything on the display looks great. Before it just looked dull.
Why the hell did I put that stupid thing on my screen in the first place. I keep the phone in a case all the time anyway. I must be fookin mad
Agreed, but I scratched my first one in a week and I keep it in a case as well. I wish someone actually made one that was good and clear.

That is food for thought. I hope I don't scratch this, but no way am I putting a screen protector back on it.
How did you scratch yours, and is it bad? Has it ruined the look of the phone??
Have had mine naked since I got it a month ago no scratches at all. I keep mine in my pocket. Oh and I work in a machine shop so lots of stuff to scratch my phone and it still looks brand new. These screens are alot more scratch resistant than we think.

I'd you don't put it in your pocket when other stuff is in there, you should be fine. Just don't drop it.
I went without a protector an dropped my phone and smashed my glass. Luckely I had insurrance and got a new one. I'm keeping this one with a screen protector and case!

yeah i always keep my phones naked... i just hate the look of the screen protector and the bulk of a case... just gotta be careful with the phone
welcome to my world
i did exactly the same thing, then i took it off
those super shields are just in the way IMO, and smears-up the display quality.
also the touch and slide sensation loss, is very irritant, when you can't slide naturally on the screen, always like glue stuck to your finger

Been using zaggs for ages and I love them. No dimming of the screen, super tough, keeps finger oils off better, etc.
Maybe you didn't install it very well? (I've installed a few thousand of them, one of my first is still on my droid eris from launch and still looks brand new) Or maybe its the texture that irritates you?

I got my nexus earlier this week when I upgraded from my vibrant. One thing I've learned is to keep your nails filed and short. My phone is usually in my right hand and in turn use my thumb to touch the screen. Keeping the nails short keeps the nails and simultaneously touching the screen while gliding and preventing scratches. Filing them keeps them smooth rather than rough which also reduces the risk of scratches. Watch what you put in your pockets and clean your screen with a lent free cloth with micro pores. Dust can scratch your screen when it accumulates.

I don't like skins as well but at the same time I know they're saving my NS from ugly scratches. Better safe than sorry.

Invisible Shield by Zagg

FYI, Anyone that is considering purchasing the Invisible Shield for their Nexus 7, I just received mine in the mail today and when applied it would not allow the touch screen to operate. I was unable to unlock to access anything, once I peeled away the Invisible Shield everything was fine. Tried to reapply a second time with the same results, just wanted to give all a heads up.
Yet another reason to go xoskins

Had the same problem after I installed my Skinomi screen protector tonight, but after 2 hours everything is fonctionning again.
You have to wait with all screen protectors that are applied with application fluid....
I learned early on that the extra money you pay for Zagg to install the invisibleshield for you is very worth it.
I had absolutely no problem with mine.

The front looks perfectly fine. You can't even really tell there is something there. The back is subjective. I didn't like it at first but it has grown on me. But no one forces you to have the back anyway.

I removed it and all the functionality returned.
I dont know if letting it dry will do anything but i will try. If it doesnt work im ripping this sucker off and returning it to zagg.

I don't have a single problem with my invisibleshield on my Nexus 7, including the one you mentioned above.
So one of the following must be true:
You have a defective Nexus 7 with under-sensitive touchscreen.
Your InvisibleShield is defective (somehow)
Your installed your InvisibleShield wrong.
I received a Nexus 7 with "extra-sensitive" touchscreen (if something like this exists!)
Does anyone's protector seem a hair too big? A bit of it is going over the bezel. Will this thing shrink?

youre meant to let it dry...
capacitive screens work by reading the changes in the electrostatic field directly above the screen as you slide your fingers across it. using applicator fluid and the screen protector will restrict the range of the electrostatic field to underneath the screen protector until the screen protector dries. plus, you're putting water on an electronic device... generally not recommended to turn it on until the water's completely gone. it shouldve mentioned this in the installation instructions...
Anyone ever notice the glass looks like it's permeable on these touch devices? Lots of little holes.
But yes, water cuts the conductivity and will do so until completely dry, at least that is the result on this device.
Same results with most wet install screen protectors, it's not any particular brand being the problem... If you read the xoskins, skinomi and xtremeguard threads, people have the same exact "complaint"..
Let it dry man!
YMMV

Risk over heating an LCD, I wouldn't.
Besides trying to expedite drying time may cause trapped air bubbles that will take twice as long if ever to stick and will leave a ripple on the protector. YMMV

Ok. I checked my gmail history for this purpose
It was end of 2012 and the name the thing was "Crystalusion Liquid Glass Screen Protector", the price was 10 British pounds with shipping.
I applied it as per instruction but I did not notice ANY difference at all, I also pretty sure that I even forgot that I did it in a couple of days... 2012 means that I had HTC One X at that time and i sold it unbroken in spring when M7 was out. So maybe it actually worked xD jk

I have tried such product long ago for my Samsung S3. I don't find it that helpful. In fact my screen got scratched even after applying that, within one month.
I would say, this product is a gimmic. Mostly, all current device comes with Gorilla glass. So this protector acts like a polish, thats all.

Yeah, I also read that you need to re-apply the product every year or so, which I just don't feel like doing. I'd rather go with a tempered glass protector with a lifetime warranty. Get my money's worth!
I have tested it, and it is does not work.
I applied it on half of screen and tried to scratch the phone. There is no different part of screen with applied Kristall Liquid is scratching the same as part of screen without Kristall Liquid. The same finger prints are the same on both parts of screen.
In my opinion it is waste of money.
I make some video but quality is not the best. maybe later I will upload it on youtube.

The product works great and preserves the natural beauty of your phone. More info at kristallnorthamerica.com.
Brand new on the market abd works better than other nano products that came before. It just won best in show at CES 2016 from a major trade publication
While I personally have never tried any of these liquid screen protectors I know a few years back Linus made a test video after applying some. Pretty sure it was a different brand though.
