Isn't the difference just a DPI edit?
I feel like it would be easier to implement the changed you would like into a stock base Rom for this device instead of porting that Rom
Just my two cents

yeah that's true. there's not much of a substantial difference. i just felt like trying to port for the heck of it. indeed already thought about trying to use some of these files for our current Sense 5.5 rom. thanks for the suggestion :good:

whoops. was suppose to be for the Sprint HTC One forum since it uses some Sprint files.

Should do, Im not to sure but I think it does because it has loads of languages
Looks ok...I guess. Would've been cooler to see a truly new AOSP rom than oxeygen with your edits bolted on. Atleast simple rom renamers have given a kickstart to wildfire development.

Yeah sorry! I was looking for a clean AOSP 2.3.7 but all I could find is Oxygen.
If you can find me a clean AOSP that doesn't need resizing thats android 2.3.7 I will use it!

Yeah, both of those WERE my options but in the end I decided I didn't want to go resizing everything. Building looked quite long and a hefty task so I left it. But maybe soon I might get a AOSP rom and resize, if you could help find me one I will mention you in my post. I'll call it "Even More Feathers" haha hopefully I'll start soon, I'm uploading v0.2 in a second improved a huge amount of things

There was a guide floating around this section from xbdg about compiling gingerbread AOSP for the wildfire and incorporating some of the CM team fixes. (Video recording, faster UI and such!) I will try and find this if you'd be willing to try it out. The tutorial was based on 2.3.5 at the time, But since its using the AOSP sources. The end rom should be 2.3.7

What is? The rom is based on oxygen. Which is 2.3.7.
Sent from my HTC Wildfire using XDA App
Don't worry if it says 2.3.5, it is 2.3.7 because the user that ported the rom previously used DevNull ( 2.3.5) and he copied the build.prop file over to the Oxygen rom so basically it says 2.3.5 but its 2.3.7
then change in the build.prop from 2.3.5 to 2.3.7 when is basically on it ;D
Oh look another Oxygen winzippah...
@mrweqa - any chance of sharing the changes you've made (eg to GPS), so I can look at integrating them into Oxygen?
With regards to the 2.3.5 & 2.3.7 confusion - Oxygen is built from the 2.3.7 sources, but identifies itself as 2.3.5 for Market compatibility reasons.
Add (Replace is SUPL's are already there) this to /system/etc/gps.conf
SUPL_HOST=supl.sonyericsson.com
SUPL_PORT=7275
The sony ericsson has a slightly faster, more stable gps

I haven´t found any info around the web about CM team making a vivo release? Does anybody have information about that?

The CM team tend to not discuss a lot of what they will release untill it is due soon. Guess it's to stop people nagging about deadlines.
They are probably waiting for the source code and kernel.

They are waiting for the source code for kernel 3.0.16. Currently, it only works for Sense ROM's and not AOSP ROM's. AOSP for our device uses 2.6.x GB kernel hacked to work with ICS which is why our ROM's aren't fully stable yet unless your using the stock 3.0 kernel.
I emailed HTC regarding kernel sources and was told they will release it 90-120 days after the release of the WWE ICS RUU. The RUU was released a few weeks ago, so a few months to go unfortunately.

Just curious, what is the difference between AOSP kernel and Sense kernel in general? If I got the source for the Sense kernel, what do I need to do to make it work for AOSP?

Now as the source code is available, we can hope for stable ICS rom.
Well ICS is already kind of stable just some minor bugs if you mean that. However JB would very likely be possible imo.
Our devs are working on it and I'm sure CM10 will be on our device Nik just got a port from DHD ROM booting and will release it tomorrow Also Floatshow and djpbx are building a JB ROM from source and I guess they're making awesome progress, too. So it's just about time, mate
Nice to see that my old thread has been awaken

Nik released his JB rom stating he uses CM10 kernel. I understand that kernel is phone specific and does that mean we well see a CM10 alpha build really soon?

Could this work to port a ROM from HTC One X ?

I don't think it's as simple as that, not with a locked bootloader. Dexter has ported the one x Rom but it is far from perfect

honestly the guide is crappy and miss all the hardware dependent information and what needs to be modified to match current hardware and ANY framework change to support different functions.
OneX port was quite fine, but since telephony was rubbish and HTC made their own framework to support their own driver leaving out any support for other chipset, it is very hard to fix that one. except for that, i found the port quite stable except useless since phonecalls with GSM did not work

this is not related to a OneX port, it is just an app followed by a custom kernel to tweak performance, we got no kernel changes available (yet)

I know for the problems of other developer and official O4X version ... but life is going on...

you mean custonexus? or their new 4.2.x based edition? the one i use is currently not continued as i read the topic.
so my corrections are small and since kernel cannot change, we cannot do much.

i know it can work with kholk's release, since i tried the 3.0 paranoid on his, but since extSD is no good, i will wait until we get something stable with custom kernel too.. too many halfbaked roms are no fun.

XENONHD 6.0.1 FOR T-MOBILE LG G4
NOTE: FOR BEST ROM EXOERIENCE, CHANGE ALL ANIMATIONS TO 1X IN DEVELOPER SETTINGS. THIS SHOULD LOCK YOU AT A 60FPS EXPERIENCE.
XenonHD is an AOSP-based Android ROM that combines speed, simplicity, and latest technology to bring you the best Android experience possible. XHD is AOSP-based, as opposed to CM-based, which gives it an advantage in speed and lightweightness (?). You can find the link to XenonHD's website HERE.
Installation Instructions (we assume bootloader is unlocked and recovery is installed. This is XDA):
1) Download 20I bootloader HERE

I am really sorry but... I was thinking of going after Chroma. If the 811 goes well I might seek a dev that can send me an 815 to work on. My only concern is that I'm going to need to write a REALLY long dependencies file to go with all the optimizations etc Nexus roms are missing (or im just lazy).

It would be great..
Chroma and Pure Nexus are probably the best ROM in terms of balance between features and performance. But.. Are you sure that Zephik will allow someone to build for a non nexus device? I rember problems for Flo unofficial building, can't imagine a G4 build...
By the way.. It seems that I have to sell my 815 for 811!!!!

That's what I'm thinking too. Really an end user can't complain about Kangs though. As long as it's not the one and only laggy buggy mess that is THE AOKP. Seriously the H811 port of AOKP is so laggy it's unbelievable. I might start Pure Nexus tomorrow then. I tried starting PAC ROM. It didn't like me.

This looks very interesting and minimal. Might have to flash it and give it a try soon. I also vote that this be moved to the 811 section if there's no support for 815. Its not abandoned at all, just less users compared to the international 815.
