Hey guys
I have the international and unlocked version of the HTC ONE. Since the 4.3 Update for the European Models (I am from Europe) has released a while ago an I did not recieve the update i tried to install it on my own (mistake)
I followed the instructions of this website (link in the txt file). I installed the x.xx.401.x WWE version which seemed to be the right one i picked the 3.62.401.1 firmware and flashed it via fastboot. After doing that my phone won't start up anymore.
I tried to install the stock rom via RUU but it does not work.
I can still reach the bootloader but can't flash a new rom because my phone is not rooted.
Yesterday i spent 6 hours looking for a solution but nothing seems to work.
Does anyone know a solution?
Obviously I am a noob. So if You need any more information please tell me.
Thanks in advance

1- can you post a "fastboot getvar all" (remove IMEI and s/n before posting)
2- confirm if your bootloader is unlocked
I'll take a look later

You can download and flash this Guru Reset ROM: http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_3-62-401-1-zip/ (flash just like a custom ROM, in recovery)
If you want to receive OTAs later then you need to select "stock recovery" in the installer.
You may want to consider S-Off. (But really up to you)
Let me know if you need more help, and hit the Thanks button if I've helped
It did not work. Here is what i did:

no mate, standard custom recovery flash, so first, you need to get yourself a custom recovery from one of the threads on xda, either CWM or TWRP, CWM is here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2173863 don't have the one for TWRP readily available, sorry.
Once you download the recovery____.img place it in your adb folder, then reboot to bootloader/FASTBOOT USB, then in the command prompt:
fastboot erase cache
fastboot flash recovery <name of recovery>.img
fastboot erase cache
fastboot reboot-bootloader
-> enter RECOVERY (this should show you the custom recovery)
now push the Guru ROM to your phone:
adb push Guru_Reset_M7_3.62.401.1.zip /data/media/ <- this will take 5 to 10 minutes
in recovery, select "install zip" -> "choose zip" -> select Guru_Reset_M7_3.62.401.1.zip
go through the installer, here's an EXAMPLE select the options you want (stock recovery & root, whichever suites you): http://forum.xda-developers.com/showpost.php?p=47085377&postcount=44
thanks for your help!
It worked!!! I have a second birthday now
thank your very very much!

Hello guys. I have a htc one m7 with me and I flashed a custom rom using clockwork mod. After flashing the custom rom, the phone got stuck at htc logo and it doesn't go into recovery anymore. 1- the command is: fastboot erase cache

Yeah, sorry; I wrote the wrong command here. About the bootloader, is there a way to unlock it in fastboot because I have no way to go in recovery and the phone won't turn on.

I had this problem before
so you need to unlock your bootloder by "cmd" order and then your device will be restart and enter to recovery direct in this moment flash any custom rom and this step will be unlock your bootloder and allow you to do any thing

Okay so you just need to get a Rom installed on the device. Here is the stock rom for your m7 https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23501681358545274 you don't have to use this rom you can use any rom you choose. But if your still on the At&t network this will enable you to update via OTA. Otherwise use any rom you prefer.
There are a number of ways to get the rom to your internal storage. Probably re easiest is to flash TWRP 2.8.5.0. This will allow you to view your internal storage when connected to your pc in recovery. Then you can simply drag and drop the rom onto your device. Then install it with TWRP.
TWRP 2.8.5.0 does tend to hang while installing some roms though. So if you run into problems installing the rom try an older version of TWRP.
Or you can use adb to push the rom. This should work with any recovery. Put the rom in your fastboot folder and rename it something simple e.g - rom.zip
Boot the device to recovery and connect your usb cable. In a fastboot command prompt type
Code:
adb push rom.zip /sdcard
The command prompt will appear unresponsive until the push is complete (several minutes). When it's done install the rom with your recovery :good:

Download this firmware 6.09.401.10 flash it in bootloader. You can rename the firmware to firmware.zip or type the entire name in the command line.
Code:
[B][I]adb reboot bootloader[/I][/B]
After that, type:
Code:
[B][I]fastboot oem rebootRUU [/I][/B]
NOTE: You should see a silver HTC logo come up on your phone after executing this command.
NOTE: if this command freezes, just disconnect the USB cable and hold the power and volume down buttons until the device reboots. Then, repeat the steps above again.
Finally:
Code:
[B][I]fastboot flash zip firmware.zip[/I][/B]
Repeat the same command: IMPORTANT
Code:
[B][I]fastboot flash zip firmware.zip[/I][/B]
NOTE: The green bar on the phone may not go to 100% of the bar ... but If you see completed on your computer command window, wait for a few seconds and move on.
Last Step:
Code:
[B][I]fastboot reboot[/I][/B]

Sorry you can't flash both of them
1 is not for htc one
2 is much lower version so this will fail anyway
You have to do
go to fastboot flash firmware 6.09.401.10 >> unlock boot loader >> Install Custom Recovery TWRP 2.6.3.3 in fastboot >> reboot phone
Download This backup http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2224752
Extract and copy files to TWRP/BACKUPS/SH44TW901053/Stock
reboot to custom recovery
restore backup >> reboot Bootloader >> flash firmware 6.09.401.12
be patient I Wrote in short so you have to search & read @ xda
you will get full stock software 6.09.401.12
Remove imei and serial no from 1st post

Hi, Hope this post is in the right place, apologies if not.
I recently got a HTC One (M7) which was already unlocked, S-OFF and rooted and had 4.4 on it but i wanted to upgrade that OS so installed GPE and then it updated a few times to 5.01 which was all good but now i want to go back to 4.4 and this is the problem i'm having.
I'm in the UK using a O2 UK RUU file which i know does work but now when i go to use it i get as far as 'Checking Header' (5%) and thats it ..it wont go any further? I have tried in compatibility mode but that just returns errors.. I am using Fastboot & ADB tools and tried pushing the firmware but i'm really quite a novice when it comes t stuff like this ..
I tried fastboot getvar and all i get it a list of commands now which i dont understand
I do know my CID is 111111
Here's the Bootloader Info:

Flash the firmware that matches your RUU first
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
fastboot reboot-bootloader
then flash the RUU ... RUU gets stuck on the Hboot update step, flashing firmware first eliminates this problem

Hi and thank you for your help.. i tried looking for the correct firmware.zip but after trying to flash it i get errors and 'fails' i'm not exactly sure which firmware i should be using - i did go to HTC site and selected what i thought were O2 UK FW files (1 was MR 3, 1 MR2 and 2 x zip files) so i assumed the .zip files were the FW files but its with these i got the errors. When i flashed them it did read them but aftr a few seconds returned a fail.
The RUU i am trying to put back on is RUU_M7_UL_K44_SENSE55_MR_O2_UK_4.20.206.16_Radio_4A.23.3263.28_10.38r.1157.04L_release_353143_signed_2 which i know works on my device as i used it before i installed the GPE.
Any ideas please? I'm sorry i cant provide any more information.

Well you phone is having a bit of an identity crises
you have hboot 1.54 ( assume it's the Dark bootloader for GPE)
your Firmware version is 6.x.401.x which is for the International version
and your CID is O2
I'm going to recommend you convert to International by changing you CID
fastboot oem writecid HTC__001
then flash this firmware
https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23329332407574077
fastboot oem rebootRUU
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
fastboot flash zip firmware.zip
fastboot reboot
followed by this RUU
http://www.androidruu.com/getdownlo...10.38r.1157.04L_release_353069_signed_2-1.exe
or
RUU_M7_UL_K44_SENSE55_MR_HTC_Europe_4.19.401.9_R_Radio_4A.23.3263.28_10.38r.1157.04L_release_353069_signed_2-1.exe - 1.50 GB
Maybe a little late but you could also try this:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2358781
Go to post #2 and follow those instructions. Then flash whatever RUU you want.
I converted to GPE one time, didn't like it and also had trouble getting back to KK.

Thanks again for the help.. much appreciated - im using TWRP v2.7 and wiped the whole phone by accident - i'm trying to push (adb sideload fw_4.19.401.9_custom.zip) but keeps coming back as no device - i have a yellow exclamation in device manager under 'other devices' 'one' and cant seem to find a windows 7 driver for this? once i can push or sideload the firmware i can flash it correct?
Thanks again
So to refresh my memory, you were on stock GPE and want to go back to stock sense correct? Now you have wiped the phone using twrp and twrp is all that is left?

Yes thats correct - i'm new to all this flashing stuff but have been reading lots of various posts on xda ...
This is whats returned from fastboot flash:

i really dont know what to do now - i have all the correct files in the platform tools folder where i run the fastboot & adb commands (firmware & ruu) and have changed the CID to HTC___001
When i'm in recovery mode (TWRP) i get the yellow exclamation (screenshot hopefully attached)
First you need to get the driver working. Click on "one" and see if you can select from a list of devices on the pc. Now if the last working firmware on the phone was gpe then you need to push/sideload a gpe based Rom. This is because the partition structure is different than sense. You need to get a working Rom onto the phone first.

With a RUU? what is your "fastboot getvar all" output?
A custom ROM will be nice to have

You can flash the ruu using fastboot:
Code:
fastboot oem reboot RUU
fastboot flash zip ruu.zip
fastboot reboot
(Dont forget to use the fastboot version linked in the ruu collection thread at post #1)
or if you have a sdcard, rename the ruu file to "PN07IMG.zip" and save it at the root of your card and reboot in bootloader mode, use volume up/down and power buttons to flash the ruu.
Don't forget to relock the bootloader before flash the ruu if it's unlocked (requires when s-on)
To root your phone you'll need to re-unlock the bootloader, flash a custom recovery and flash the latest supersu.zip

You need to use htc_fastboot not generic fastboot to flash ruu.zip

Hey guys.
I was wondering if anyone could take some time and help figure out what's wrong with my Htc one!
So my new phone broke and so i went back to my One that i haven't used in ages.
Anyways it was alredy rooted with S-Off and first thing i was trying todo was to install TWRP and a new rom.
After i installed twrp and rebooted the phone and upon start i sent me directly in to the "power off + Volume down" menu and i tried to enter Recovery.
All i get is "Active cmdline overflow! (2169 Bytes)" then nothing more.
So i tried some fastboot commands and this is what i get from
Fastboot devices ÒÀü«/ë¥-1ý}ËÙ fastboot
I reckoning something is wrong here because the name has never shown like this before.
If i try adb devices i get nothing.
So i started to belive that maybe the cable was ****ed and now i almost tried 7 diffrent cables and all of them is giving me the same message.
I tried a diffrent computer, i tried in windows 10 and now im in Ubuntu 16.04 and still cant get adb to show the device.

What roms did you flashed (post a link) ? Active cmdline overflow is caused by a corrupted misc partition, most of the time because the user flashed a rom for another device than the m7. During the installation, the updater script of that rom flash images to wrong partitions (since all phone models have a different partition layout). Some partitions are unique to each m7 and if they get corrupted, a simple ruu flash will not solve your problem.
Your adb problem is most likely a driver issue. Make sure you have the latest drivers from HTC (those that are bundled with HTCSync) and try again. The only way out of this is to make p19 healthy again by following that guide you linked (if it was caused by an incompatible rom flash...waiting for your link).
Btw do not attempt to downgrade to hboot 1.44 if you're using windows 8/10 or you'll also loose fastboot connectivity.

Well as I want to remember it I don't think I have flashed a rom yet, I never got that far I just tried to flash twrp 2.8.4.0.
Do i even need drivers in Ubuntu ? I was under the influence that I didn't need any.

Well if I understand it right when I try to flash a RUU it just says unknown modelid and I think because it's corrupted or something. :/

No you don't, only on windows, sorry. ADB should work fine from twrp and no drivers required on ubuntu, adb will not work from the bootloader.
