Hello guys,
I'm getting an error while I'm just trying to retrieve all my One information with "fastboot getvar all" from fastboot. In details this is my output:
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.44.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 4A.14.3250.13
(bootloader) version-cpld: None
(bootloader) version-microp: None

(bootloader) boot-mode: FASTBOOT
ERROR: usb_read failed with status e00002e8
getvar:all FAILED (status read failed (No such file or directory))
finished. total time: 0.060s
So, I'd like to understand what is that Error and how could I remove it. I tried with a "fastboot erase cache", but the output has been
erasing 'cache'...
ERROR: usb_read failed with status e00002e8
FAILED (status read failed (No such file or directory))
finished. total time: 0.000s
and I think it has not any result.
Thank you for help.
Seems an issue caused form the usb port of your pc.
Try to change it.

Hey all,
I've just had an failed firmware.zip flash (as said I've done this twice) now my HTC One is stuck on 4 exclamation marks screen.
Phone was a Three UK model, with stock rooted ROM (S-ON Android 4.1.2) I by mistake have tried to flash firmware.zip from extracted from my OTA update to android 4.2.2
Here's output from getvar all:
Code:
(bootloader) version: 0.5
(bootloader) version-bootloader: 1.44.0000
(bootloader) version-baseband: 4A.13.3231.27
(bootloader) version-cpld: None
(bootloader) version-microp: None

(bootloader) battery-status: good
(bootloader) battery-voltage: 3779mV
(bootloader) partition-layout: Generic

(bootloader) boot-mode: RUU
ERROR: usb_read failed with status e00002e8
getvar:all FAILED (status read failed (No such file or directory))

Now I'm little bit stuck, how can I recover my phone from this, whatever to stock 4.2.1 or updated 4.2.2 android?
I would appreciate any help & clues, thanks!

What should i look for to get the shipped rom to this mobil ?
This will do the job:
http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/ruu-zip...0-01_release_318486_signed_2_4_decrypted-zip/
Flash it via fastboot, if you don't know how then check some of the 'back to stock' threads
This might also help:
http://www.htc1guru.com/dld/guru_reset_m7_2-24-401-8-zip/
Guide: http://www.htc1guru.com/downloads/stock-rom-downloads/
Thanks i'll have a look
Aright guys, i hope i can finally get this figured out.
I need to do this on my Mac and cannot do it in bootcamp because no matter what I do i cannot get my computer to recognize the device in fastboot. Tried on both windows 8 and 7.
As of right now I am running android 4.3 with sense 5 rooted that i flashed. I have a back up from when I was on 4.1.2. Hboot is 1.44.
Im trying to get this phone to a state I can send it in for repairs... I mainly need help finding the correct RUU.zip for my device and flashing it.
Haaaaaaaaaaalp

and could a mod correct my title by adding [Q] and for Mac
Edit: Apparently I had to install TWRP 3 times before it would work. I'm all good now.
I wanted to try out TWRP instead of CWM, and after flashing, I can boot to fastboot, but when I try to go to recovery, I see the twrp logo for a few seconds, then it just reboots and tries do a regular boot. The regular boot fails and it tries a recovery boot, which fails and the cycle starts again.
I have been searching these forums and the wider web for an hour but am not finding anything to work. I can do SDK things but only fastboot. adb devices shows no information. fastboot getvar all fails after spitting out some information. Here's the output:
Code:
$ ./fastboot getvar all

Is there any way to recover from this? I am at wits end here, folks. Please help me out. Thank you.
EDIT: Fixed, please remove the thread?
Hey, Im struggling to get my HTC one back to stock (HTC will pick up the phone tomorrow so I really need to make it work today).
It's s-off, unlocked and im using the super_cid, I cant apply any RUU.exe (I get "error 158"), if I try to flash a decrypted RUU(zip) using htc_fastboot it says "error: cannot load 'RUU_M7_UL_K44_SENSE55_MR_Cingular_US_4.18.502.7_decrypted.ROM.zip'".
The rom im currently using is android revolution if that matters
Heres what i get when i type "fastboot getvar all"
