has anyone noticed low or dropping WiFi signals in albinoman887 chronic kernel? i would always have one bar when its always three bars is it the rom or the kernel?

Hi guys
Ive been using galaxy S for a while but my wifi signal strength is very poor. I had many other phones, but the wifi strength has never been this bad. I get just one signal bar when Im in the next room from the router and the phone even disconnects very often. Could this be caused by modem version? Could you please suggest me some good modem I can use?

you must be more specific what rom you use and what smalband version otherwise we can't help you
hi guys im from india and use cyanogen mod 7.2.0 rc5.4 on my galaxy mini but i have low wifi signal just one bar...but with my laptop ive got full bars like 5 meters away any tips to increase the wifi signal...my baseband is ddkq7.
Is anyone experiencing issues with wifi?
I'm running RocketRom v7 with LR1 modem and LQ2 kernel.
I don't know exactly when this started but when I'm at home my wifi randomly disconnects and it reconnects when I turn wifi off and back on.
Also, the phone seems to switch back and forth between H+ and 3G quite often even in areas where the signal strength is good.
Is this ROM/kernel specific problem or modem problem?
Hi guys, I use the captivate as a spare phone , and sometimes to browse the internet at home. I've noticed that recently the wifi signal has been extremely weak. I'm literally right next to my router and it's showing 1 bar of reception. When i step into the next room, i get no reception at all. I was on stock firmware at the time, I have since flashed to cm10, and the wifi signal is just as bad. Can anyone help please?
I'd suggest you try a different kernel. Also, you could try to delete your saved network and re-connect to it.
Hi, Iwas wondering, ever since i had changed to cm 10.1 from stock 4.1.1, my wifi's strength seems to have been like any other phone (before, it was 3-full bar, even from outside our house) but now it doesn't even reach 4 bars even if I'm beside the router...
Suggestions to fix this? I really like the mod, but if the price is the wifi...
Also, my wifi keeps on disconnecting on it's own (even if the screen is on). Any solutions?
update: now the wifi disconnects even when it's not in idle mode...
I'm not running any wifi boosters or whatnot
