Okay so I searched the forums for a similar thread but couldn't find one, so I decided to create a new one.
If anyone receives the OTA update ,then please post your location over here and if possible, the first four digits of your serial number(like 305k) and the hardware revision number.

Hi guys,
I've been for a while only on Nexus devices, so I'm a bit confused about HTC's system versions nomenclature.
I recently bought a wonderful black HTC One from Amazon UK (I live in Italy), and the phone came with 1.29.401.16. I already tried to search the web for info about following or previous system versions, but I see only different numbers that I don't understand (1.29.1540.17 and so on).
My question is: my phone is updated to the latest system version available (I already tried to search new system updates) and in general how can I read HTC's nomenclature for system versions?
Thank you.

The main page on the LG Nexus 4 said the latest official android version is 4.2 but its actually 4.4.4
can one of the administrators change it?
I am talking about the page where the different nexus 4 forums are
thanks

Mate.. Thats android version is actually right it comes with the phone, later you can update it.
Tell me one thing, when you bought the phone, Did you had KK directly on it?
I am sure it was 4.4.2.
That's the Android version the phone launches with. It would be a nightmare for us to try to keep updated the latest Android version for every device on this forum

If the Nexus 6 was purchased through Google Play Store, will the 5.1 OTA come directly from Google? If purchased through Motorola will the 5.1 OTA come from Motorola? And does the wireless carrier influence the 5.1 OTA source? For instance, if the Nexus 6 was purchased through Google Play Store and is using Verizon service, does the 5.1 OTA come from Verizon or Google? And if the 5.1 OTA comes from Verizon (Nexus 6 purchased from Verizon), is the update different than what would come directly from Google? All very confusing.
Thanks ...
all nexus ota's come from google, regardless where you bought it or who your provider is. period. anyways, questions go into the q&a/help section, not into general.

Hi, questions go in Q&A forum and also, there is a dedicated thread for OTA information here in general as a sticky. To answer, Google pushes updates to all nexus devices regardless of the carrier or place of purchase. The update is the same for all devices except for the build released on Verizon that has a different build number.
Sorry, wrong forum!

[STOCK] VERIZON Nexus 6 [5.1][LMY47E] Firmware Image
Still confused!. In the above referenced post, the discussion is about the LMY47E (From Verizon) being different than the LMY47D (From Google). Can you choose which OTA build number you receive via OTA?
Thanks ...

I bought a new Galaxy Note 9 online about a month ago (which I'm slowly starting to regret because of this issue), and I'm trying to upgrade it to Android 10. However, the Model Number and the Baseband version says SM-N960F/DS and N960NKOU3ASG1. After searching online for a while, I found a forum post from here two months that talks about my exact problem: https://forum.xda-developers.com/galaxy-note-9/help/help-android-10-update-note-9-t4047729 which basically says to flash the firmware via Odin.
However, I'm having some doubts of whether it is the correct firmware of not, though this could be due to having problems with Sammobile for a long time. When I talked with one of the admins of Sammobile, he said that my phone has a "Custom ROM"/"Modded firmware" and to ask "the procedures on XDA where you downloaded the Custom Rom from "Ketan"... " This is the forum discussion I had with him, along with images of my phone showing the software info: https://www.sammobile.com/forum/threads/45917-download-link-for-firmware-not-working
If anyone can help me, I would greatly appreciate it

So yours is N960N?
mixed firmware
According to the Sammobile admin, I have mixed firmware, N960F & N960N
Model Number: SM-N960F/DS
Baseband Version: N960NKOU3ASG1
Build Number: N960FXXS3CSFC_Dr.Ketan_P13_XDA
and then Service Provider SW ver says SAOMC_SM-N960F_OXM_BRI_PP_0014 ...
edit: sorry for the late response, noone responded for a while, so was busy with other matters
It flashed with a custom rom. I have seen so many F versions with this issue. You should be able to factory reset then use Phone Info app. Do a refurbishment check with the app and also check what firmware. Find out what model and region..get the firmware and flash with odin. Whenever I have purchased a device off line I always ask seller to send a pic of the software screen.

I'll do the factory reset tomorrow, its getting late in my time, and I have to sleep early cause I work as retail morning shift.
The app that you're talking about is Phone Info, made by uax.io correct? The phone I'm sure is brand new because I remember discussing it with my sister and talking about just getting a brand new phone and not wanting to deal with returning it due to the current pandemic situation. The big problem I seem to have is that I'm not sure exactly what firmware I should use, since the Sammobile admin said my phone is using a mix.
