While it's great that you have it, I'm more interested in the ui and android version. What version does it run? What ui improvements are u seeing. Be nice if root was achieved so we can get a system dump. See what goodies are inside. I want the lock screen. Looks clean

4. when running a lot of tasks does the phone get hot?
5. Is the camera good on a scale of 1-10, also compare it to other phones you have had. maybe post pics?
6. are the flaps a pain?
7. is the led notification light just red and green? or all colors like the galaxy phones?
8. out of the boxes what kinda playstation integration is there?
9.how is the Walkman app? compared to other music apps?

Update:
Ok Im doing some tests with battery life.
(Battery test is not complete yet., more accurate results will be ready on Monday) And I want to tell you guys for now I can say the battery life with out STAMINA mode is very good.
All day from morning until now I'm using my phone every 5 min. Pictures, videos, internet, games, apps....long story short the phone was on very active use.
(I did so many restarts also)

Now guys pay attention to grey UI colors (background)
When you put screen at maximum brightness, it begins to seem that black color looks greyish !
But after looking closely you realize that this is dark grey color . You may have at first look a illusion of bad screen. But again it just grey UI. (why sony did that ?!).
Example:
(PS When the first deodex rom will appear, I will make a nice theme for us, witch is will bring much eye candy UI like this: AOSP Jelly Bean theme)
However I took a picture to show you something.
This is a "black" wallpaper from Cyanogen mod 10.1 bootanimation.zip with full brightness at dark room.
As you see dark is not dark enough
Here is some camera comparison.
Night time in nasty foggy/rainy weather:
Nexus S (CyanogenMod):
Zsex (sorry I slightly smeared the picture) :
I also did some cool picture of the device

UPDATE: 02/25/13
Guys I have a bad and good news.
Let's start with the good news.
STAMINA not just a stupid energy mode. It's kind of intelligent scanning program. Witch is tracking all active process.
You will ask me "what do you mean ?"
Example I using BeWeather app. (very nice weather application, very sexy and provides beautiful widgets)
Today I got notification:
Not bad yea ?
Now bad news.
The battery life is bad. Yes guys. More bad than Galaxy S III.
My phone was on charge all night (more than 9 hours). When I woke up I activate STAMINA mode.
I always listening music and surfing the internet when I in bus. (from New Jersey to New York)
The way is around 2-3 hours.
(due to my C6603 model witch is not working with Tmobile 4G, Im using tmobile hotspot)
Long story short I arrived to the work. Check my battery status:
With the same active usage:
On galaxy S3 I got at least: 79-83%
On galaxy note 2 I got at least 92%
So if you see I providing only true info. Where is no bulls.h.i.t.
And another good news
I get a lot of compliments because of this phone. The phone is sexy as f*ck
Regards.
UPDATE:
Ok guys I found something interesting !
We all know about the liquid indicators witch is are generally placed in similar locations (under the battery) These indicators turn red when exposed to water, which can void your warranty.
So Xperia Z also have that "liquid indicators" and its located inside under protective pads.
Rgerads

Finally a galaxy we can view in the sunlight with the LCD. This is what I have been waiting for . Ugly buttons and 8 mp camera but I will take it.
What do you think? It would make me mad if I had the S4, kinda like the skyrocket with the s2. I say hurry up and release AT&T....

On the fence here 1) 3 feet is hardly waterproof, so you could drop it in the toilet, not the pool. 2) Maybe a July release, not sure I would wait if I did not have the S4 in my hands now... 3) and most important, only 16gb. As a dude who waited the 2 weeks to get a 32, this is a non starter for me...
It is killer that its a user replaceable battery.
It's a very interesting device...if the Moto X doesn't turn out to be the über-phone I'm hoping for, I may sell my current S4 and pick up one of these.

I MIGHT have to upgrade again when this release, waterproof/dust proof is a flagship level not-dumbed-down (except camera) phone is about the most sought-after feature for me that I can think of that is not yet widely available. I hope it sells really well so that the next iteration of the galaxy line (and other manufacturers) will feature a flagship level, truly rugged device. More depth on the waterproofing (say 10 meters?) would be nice, but hey its a start. Think it visually looks great too for what it is.

It probably can go deeper but they have to say that just in case there are complications. Just as long as you don't make it a practice to submerge very deep you should be ok. Personally I will just use it for mistakes like toilet and if I bring it to the pool but forget. I don't plan on purposely bringing my phone into the water.
I agree, I have high hopes, it looks nice, adds the feature I want (reason I avoided the S4 was the screen) I just hope AT&T decide to keep the bootloader unlocked :fingers-crossed:

Yup ... was about to say it probably would survive deeper depths, just not as long as your dive down lower.
Sounds good for people looking for a rugged phone, goes to the beach and stays on the shallow end, or your creepy voyeur at the local pool (if you're the last person list, please leave! ).

buttons are ugly, but logical. im ok with 8mp camera and LCD rather than amoled; id rather have a brighter lcd over amoled
Anandtech have some more info : here
Weight: +21g
Length: +3.1mm
Width: +1.4mm
Thickness: +1.2mm
Avliable in Gray, Blue & Orange, both the Blue and Orange color are very vibrant judging from the pictures.
The decision to use LCD over AMOLED is probably because water can damage organic materials in the OLED display, a brighter LCD also is more readable in sunlight. Although LCD is also a lot more prone to Glare in direct sunlight compared to SAMOLED which doesn't reflect as much sunlight. Although my GS4 is not as visable as my HTC One(replaced because Camera couldn't get enough detail for me in bright conditions) in sunlgiht but the GS4's screen is readable.
475 cd/m is the max brightness of the S4 thats out now
I wonder if you could switch the "guts" of a regular into the housing of the active?

Was blown away. Felt like just writing it. Whoa. What a screen. The colours, the clarity! Am disappointed that some app icons look meh, but that's the devs' problem really, hope they put some effort soon, like they did with Facebook Messenger.

This is kind of an understated spec on this phone, at least here. Some online reviews point out it's greatness. I for one think it is by far the nicest looking screen I've ever seen on a cell phone. It really makes amoled look bad. Really bad. Imo

The screen actually hurt my eyes initially lol. Trying to get used to it and no i don't wear glasses I got 20/15 vision. I guess I'm way too used to Amoled screens.
You ppl are over exaggerating the screen looks good but it is poorly calibrated. I cant wait for Paranoid Android to drop their rom with their display enhancements like they did with the nexus 4

Screen is beautiful especially with Franco kernel and Cataclysm rom but like i said my eyes have to adjust because it hurts using the screen. Too many years of AMOLED.
At first I thought you were being ironic.
The screen is not that good, it lacks contrast and has very bad viewing angles.
If viewed from an angle you'll see the white from retroillumination, the more the angle, the more the white and the loss of contrast.
You should put this side by side with a G2. That is a beautiful screen.
By the way, if you look closely under direct sunlight you'll see a pattern of thin lines, I suppose it's the digitizer. Does anyone know why it is visible in this phone while it isn't on others

Nexus 5: 4.95" IPS LCD with Corning Gorilla Glass 3
1080×1920 (445 ppi)
I don't understand how there could be any difference in what are (apart from the diagonal size) exactly the same screens. :S

Just because they have the same resolution and underlying technology (IPS LCD) doesn't mean that they're the same panel.

You ppl are over exaggerating the screen looks good but it is poorly calibrated. I cant wait for Paranoid Android to drop their rom with their display enhancements like they did with the nexus 4

No over exaggeration here. And you're wrong. It's very accurately color calibrated. So much so that there are a couple reviews on it reiterating this and the fact it is the most accurately color calibrated screens they've ever reviewed . If you are talking about contrast, that's another can of worms.....

Oh I had those on my N4, The lines can appear on some phones more than on others of the same model. Can be kinda annoying, I agree.

Mhm, hope you get your replacement soon!
Lines or dots, all screens show it in sunlight and it is the digitizer. The screens are designed to be looked at straight on or to perform best for 99% of the time. If you want a screen that has over 450 cdm brightness, 4000:1 contrast ratio with .1 cdm black level, 180 degree viewing angles and any sort of energy consumption efficiency then you are welcome to pay $500+ just for the panel. Stop complaining!

My short review.
Note 4 - the best mobile phablet ever build from Samsung internally and externally. Full review on second post.
Gear S - Solid design, I love the curve screen, it is nice touch, not over big actually, fashionable and smoothly. The thing I dislike is the charger, difficult to touch up, why use such design, first generation Gear charger is much better. Another is the build in GPS is half dead, it is A-GPS which need data connection, it won't work without insert SIM card that have data connection or WiFi to any data connection. I already confirm with Samsung where it is behave like that, the Data connection is required.
Gear Circle - Fashionable design, comfortable to wear, awesome sound quality for Samsung mobile user only, how stupid Samsung can get such idea where you need and only can tune the sound setting inside the Samsung Gear App properly, not even from the Music player itself. You get a big different sound quality after make some sound settings changes inside the Gear apps itself!
My current Gear Circle setting at Gear Apps.
I pick Rock then go advanced turn on both Bass and 3D. This settings can't turn on at Music player settings. I left normal at Music settings.
Performance - the best QHD resolution phone I tested so far. Smoothness 95% as they is still slightly 3 seconds delay opening recent apps, the briefing add on is not well done especially the open effect, it is not pull out but jump out. Hmm... sometimes they is still slightly jittering when minimise apps and also during scrolling 2nd apps under multi window.
Real Camera - extremely awesome, I believe the best so far in day light, night shoot wise second best. Today later will do some comparison with iPhone 6 plus. The taken time is extremely fast, no single delay event at night.
Front camera - great for selfie, bright and clear. The wide selfie wise is not as easier to use as promote.
Screen quality - I give 95% as well. If you dimmer down the screen then you will notice they is slightly color shift at bottom part at white background. It is more easier to see the wave on bottom end when you put the phone horizontally and look closer to eye. I check others demo set at Samsung store and all same. Please don't purposely check it if you never seen it. But this is by far much much better than my previous Note 3 AMOLED screen. Beside this, the screen is absolutely awesome! The best AMOLED screen I ever seen and use.
QHD resolution - is this gimmick? Hardly to said, seriously I can't spot any differences compare with FHD. Oops! It is not like HD to FHD that kind of big differences wow!
Battery Life - surprisingly great! At least the SOT is better than Note 3.
Touchwiz UI - the best ever by Samsung. Flat nice design and finally can put folder inside apps drawer everywhere back not like initial release in S5 UI which can't. They is two draw back compare with S5. Why Samsung remove the color selection for folder! Also the new briefing is badly implement compare with S5 one. Beside this please implement way for disable or moving to bottom the S Finder and Quick Connect at notification, it is annoying as sometimes I do accidentally click it when clicking the clear button.
Samsung widget - I love all the Samsung widget, this time all well done with flat look semi transparency especially the main clock weather widget.
Bloatware - I don't find any extra Bloatware this time. Those keep complaining Samsung is bloat shall really go check it out before judge. Also if you use China phone especially Xiaomi then you will know what is really call bloat.
Loud Speaker - far louder and better than Note 3 but put back at real is really a big wrong decision. Why oh why you move from previous great bottom location to real. Now I truly miss my HTC One M8 awesome stereo loud speaker.
IN OVERALL I GIVE SCORES OF 95%.
Note 4 (wide) vs iPhone 6 Plus (square) Part 01
- all auto mode with HDR Off.
Note 4 (wide) vs iPhone 6+ (square) Part 02
- all auto mode with HDR Off.
Note 4 Zoom Test - Original, 2x, 4x and 8x
Random shoot - auto mode, HDR Off.
Auto Mode, no HDR, +/- 4x zoom
Auto Mode, no HDR, no Zoom
Samsung Galaxy Note 4 vs HTC One M8
Top Note 4, bottom M8 | Auto Mode, HDR Off.

Hey everyone! Hope everyone here is having a good day. So what would you guys/girls like to see on a 2015 smartphone?
I personally would like to see these specifications/features:
- Dimensions/size similar to a Nexus 5
- Unique design that stands out from other smartphones
- 5" Quad HD display
- Front-facing stereo speakers
- 8MP front-facing camera
- 21MP rear camera with OIS + 4K recording
- Stock Android
- Physical home button with pulse notification LED on it
- Aluminium bezel with a soft touch plastic back
- A multimedia panel like the Galaxy Edge but something less pronounced
- Snapdragon 810
- 4GB of RAM
- Adreno 430
- 4000mAh battery
- 16gb - 128gb storage capacity
- Variety of colour options
Yes... A long list of configuration. Boring, I know. So I decided to make a video on this 'Dream Smartphone' of mine, which I called the '2015 Concept Smartphone'.
I'm a new user to XDADEVELOPERS, so I cannot post links. Dam. But if you type in 'XTPN 2015 Concept Smartphone' in your YouTube search, it should be the first video.
And please do check it out! It'll help a lot
On a side note, please excuse my poor video editing and 3D modelling skills. I'm a first Industrial Design student so it's kind of all new to me. However, I'm open to all constructive criticism.
Thank you for passing by,
Phil

Wow, nice idea!
But it needs also a higher bitrate, much space needed and it's not very easy to record longer than 3 Minutes:laugh: at [email protected] - in a few millemeter lens. Because of the Temperature..
What i think M9:
ULTRAPIXEL 6MP at 1/2.0"
4Mp was Horribly low. Why not 6MP? 6 Megapixels is the lowest i accept for a High-End Smartphone. But for 4kRecording, the Minimum is 8.3 MP 16:9.
And the HighEnd-Phone: 1/2.3"/Higher (1/2,0") and about 24MPixelƵ.

Ok, but then 10MP.
(4352x2448 = 10.6MP)
2844
2488
2448 is the height of [4:3] 8.1 MP.
16:9-8MP Is Actually 4k.
...and there's no big difference between 6Mp↔ 8MP - but 6↔ 10 Megapixels - you can notice the Difference but it's still no BIG Advantage.
But 4K is a big advantage in front of FullHD.
That's why Panasonic can easily advertise the Fƶ1000 in front of the R×10. (R⨯10 is from Sony.) SONY's R✖10 can record in FullHD. (

FPS - Frames (Pictures) Per Second you see in a Video.
ISO - Light Sensivity. Lower - less noise of image (you can find example images everywhere on the Internet.) Try aloway to use a Lower ISO.
Well... lower iso - less light and needs longer exposure time but better Image-Quality.
But if there's less light and you choose a Higher ISO, it's like turning up a Radio with weak signal strength then also the background noise will be louder.
If a Video is with 15 fps, the minimum possible exposure time is 1/15 sek.
I hope i helped. All the best @xptN and have a nice day

8MP isn't worthed it really - if it's 8MP 4:3.
It's a good resolution but the 3264 Width-Pixels are too less for 4k.
8,6MP-16:9 IS actually 4k.
For FullHD-Recording, the Lowest Sensor-Resolution which is needed is 2.1MP (1920x1080 FullHD)
