Samsung Galaxy Tab 8.9 Full Size Keyboard Dock (Bulk)
It seems it's geared towards a different device, probably with specialized connectors. I id search for a bluetooth case/keyboard combo
you will need a kickstand with bluetooth keyboard, as we have a special connector on our device...

GTab Sprint flavor, nonrooted, EF17 so Bluetooth HID
My Mogo mouse (expresscard size, flat) works perfectly and is superconvenient. However, it only charges in an Expresscard slot. I have an expresscard-USB adapter, and also have an extra plug for the socket at the bottom of my GTab.
I'd like to fabricate an adapter that will pull power from the GTab and enable charging of the Mogo mouse via its Expresscard adapter. Of course, I'm assuming that the GTab's power appears at that connector - I haven't checked. If not, I'll have to crack the case and run power to a pair of unused pins.
Has anyone done anything like this? Any problems?

WISH these mice had micro usb right!?
I was hoping to write Newton Peripherals and ask them to do this, but no luck. Seems they've been bought by ID8-mobile (their website doesn't seem to be real) and ID8 was in turn bought by AAC technologies (but they don't seem to list the Newton line e.g. Mogo mouse....
Does yours really work perfectly? I love the mouse and so bought 4 of them and they all seem a bit flaky... e.g. sometimes the mouse cursor doesn't move quite right, sometimes the mouse become unresponsive, sometimes it won't do anything... othertimes, it works great.
This is my setup to charge Mogo mouse from galaxy note 2. If you have a straight USB Host, should be a lot easier - though I'd use a male-female usb extension cable 2 inches maybe and velcro the expresscard adapter to the back of the tab so as to reduce strain on the usb host port.
Has anyone tried using the GN2 with a Smart Dock in combination with an Atrix Lapdock?
Swyped from the closest Galaxy.
You will need a micro hdmi adapter. It will and can work, but it will simply mirror the display of your phone.
I've seen the same question asked on the S3 forums. People have even hooked up PS3's to their lapdocks.

Yes, some sort of adapter would be needed to connect the HDMI from the Smart Dock to the Lapdock. The keyboard and trackpad should work, though, so it will do more than mirror the display, I believe.

Anyone able to make lapdock work with Note 2?
Also any idea where I could pick a Atrix Lapdock up?

uhhh, dont see why the keyboard and trackpad would work from a hdmi connection alone. you'd need to connect the usb as well to enable input. then it just mirrors the display and lets you use keyboard and trackpad.
it wont give you the full atrix lapdock software suite as that was installed on the atrix itself, not on the dock.
Keyboard and track pad should work since smartdock uses 11 pin to use both HDMI and USB OTG. Has any one tried?
If we could somehow hack the power, by patching the microUSB out of lapdock, we could potentially have a stand alone laptop. Any ideas? do any experts think it is feasible?

It should work fine, but I don't own one to test with. The basic idea is to build/buy adapters to connect things up with. If you have a SmartDock, that will get the phone side handled. Do a google for people using the lapdock with Raspberry Pi boards. They have all the details for interfacing to it. I think they even power the Pi with the battery in the lapdock, so you could charge your phone with it if the SmartDock allows for that, which I think it does. At the end of the day, the lapdock is a pretty "dumb" device, it takes standard inputs like HDMI/USB, and doesn't seem to have anything to restrict it to working only with the Atrix.
I've been thinking about buying this keyboard here on Amazon. If I do get it, the next step would be a mouse. But the question is, is there a Bluetooth mouse compatible for the KFHD 7"?
Hey XDA, I have been searching all over the web for this but can't find anything.
Is it possible to use the galaxy camera micro HDMI to connect to a touch screen monitor? I have no idea if HDMI has the capability of outputting touch signals as well as video and sound. I have looked at a couple of touch monitor options, often what I see is that they need usb input.
I found this monitor on ebay that has a controller board for touch input however it is more tailored towards the raspberry pi.
HDMI input LCD controller board+7inch 800x480 AT070TN92 lcd with touch panel
On the other hand I could get something like this which is designed for use in your car. The problem is that phones use their USB port which has MHL for use with these products. Which makes me think that straight micro HDMI to HDMI will not transfer the touch input into these controllers.
customgadz - OEM with Touch
Model UM-MM13-WT
or this one
customgadz - 7" USB capacitive touchscreen Monitor
Model MC-T070-KC12
This one might just be a HDMI monitor.
Any help you guys can give me would be great. I just can't wrap my head around this problem.
Also apologies if this is posted in the wrong spot, if so please give me the URL to the correct forum.
Hey Guys, been lurking for awhile with my Note 2 and before that my LG G2x, A few questions I hope someone can point me in the right direction as you guys have before just using the search button. I've done some searching but have found conflicting answers as well as not finding my certain situation
I recently broke my Verizon Note 2, not flashed, or rooted just basic stock updates and such. The screen and touch input are useless. I came across this 5-in-1 Micro USB MHL to HDMI Cable with OTG Camera Connection Kit / 11-pin Micro USB Adapter for Samsung Galaxy S2 S3 S4 i9500 Galaxy Note, Note II (Micro 5-pin to SD card slot/ TF card slot/Micro USB2.0/HDMI) on amazon and bought it without researching too much further.
I figured I would be able to plug in a USB keyboard or mouse and my HDMI connection to TV and away we go. The phone needs to be sent back to the insurance company and I'd like to get files off the phone to retain or at the very least erase everything. I have a lock screen with PIN and I don't have Bluetooth enabled or any wireless keyboard/mouse paired on the phone so I haven't been able to do too much, it seems that only MHL or OTG will work not both. I know the Samsung Smart Dock will work but since I already ordered, received and opened this device I thought I could get this working. When I plug HDMI, USB keyboard and external power from MicroUSB, in a what seems to be a certain necessary order, I get the note 2 to mirror onto my TV and a USB icon in the upper left hand corner. The optical mouse light turns on like its getting power but no pointer shows on screen. I've had the same indicators with a keyboard but when I input on keyboard no response on screen. I'm kind of lost in what to do next or if the Smart Dock is the best option. I've seen some posts in my searching that people opened up their OTG or MHL device and replaced or added resistors. I don't think that its a viable option as I can return this item less the restocking fee and buy the Smart Dock at a reasonable price. However, that being said I welcome any input as I am looking for help. Thanks in advance for any input or ideas.
If you can view your screen, use an otg cable first and connect a wireless or a wired mouse. With that you can atleast access your phone. U can then turn on ur wifi or bluetooth and connect other device.

Not able to view screen at all on Note 2. Only when is hooked up to the device I bought am I able to see it on TV. If the device is capable of doing both which I'm not sure of it, I'm kinda hoping that it thinks the USB keyboard or mouses that I have tried are mass storage. But again I don't know
