I have uninstalled several Apps using TiBackup and I Backup my Apps very few days. When I go to a new ROM and restore my Apps why are the Apps I had previously uninstalled reappearing on my new ROM? Is there some setting or something I need to do keep this from happening?
Thanks
Because they were backed up before and when you restore the apps you're restoring the old uninstalled apps too. You have to find the uninstalled apps and delete them within titanium backup, they're striked out at the bottom of the list.
Thanks so much for the info

Or you can go under batch/ restore and go to the bottom and select delete backups for un-installed apps.
can i remove the "email.apk" from an rom, without affecting the google mail apps ?
and do i need fmradio? (i dont listen to radio...)
i use simplicity 1.5, wanna update to 1.5.1 without this app
Offcourse.
Use sgs tools or nitrality.
It won't affect gmail app.
i will delete them from the rom before flashing it...
i would rather freeze them using titanium backup or mybackup, than remove them

Using nitrality to delete them frees up more system space - they can be added back with nitrality if desired.
Nitrality also removes associated lib files.
Imho it is the best option.

If you buy titanium you have the batch restore facility, so it's a one tap operation but still takes a while to restore then all

App2zip creats a flashable zip via recovery but some apps may FC.
Titanium backup is the best. If you pay for the apk it has batch processing. You don't have to do the restoration one by one.

try GoBackup from Market.
Try AppBackup & Restore or Clickfree
Just rooted my N3 with Knox still at 0x0 :good::good:
Thanks @designgears
Can anyone suggest some good apps to remove bloatware that will let me choose what to delete? Or is it best to go into system/app myself?
thanks all

It removes what ever you want. literally. Normally I recommend to freeze the apps you don't want just incase something has a problem you can unfreeze the app. Also within the app drawer you can disable apps which is the equivalent to freezing them with TI backup. The only thing is you can only disable certain apps but with TI backup you can freeze any app you want.
years datariot

Isn't there a non-rooted version of titanium Backup that would backup all your downloaded apps? If not there are plenty of apps out there. My backup for one
I think Helium may work but you need a computer if the phone isn't rooted.

I used to use MyBackup a lot, though I used the root version. It works, but it's not as easy at the HTC Backup.
I've had good luck with HTC Backup linked to Dropbox and/or Drive. However, it doesn't always restore ALL of my apps. It consistently leaves off about 5 or so with each restore. I have no idea why. It's not biggie as I can just download them manually. I like that it restores my homescreens including widgets and it restores all my saved wifi locations.
